I'm very proud of my daughter. Yesterday she finished replacing the ball bearings in her front wheels. It took her a couple of weeks off and on to remove the old ball bearings, get a shop to press the new ones, and replace them and get the car back together.

So, about $150 in parts and labor compared to about $1000 to get someone to do it for her. She does most of the work on her cars herself.

As a result, we now have 2 cars to drive, and I'm not riding the bus anymore. Yay, Melinda!

that is fantastic!!! Nice job Melinda!! She is definitely a keeper! (as if she were going anywhere LOL!)

Awesome indeed. I looked under the hood of my '03 Focus and realized that for the first time in my life, I was going to need professional help to replace a headlight. Fortunately, the original's have lasted twelve years and counting

Nermal,

Gotta ask, is dis your first visit to a porch? If not, den my CRS has hit overdrive. If so, day-um 'bout time ya dropped in! Seen ya all over da forums over time and enjoy your inputs. Nonetheless, hope ya found a comphy rocker and will settle on in!

Get back with ya'll later... got sum roasted pork & gravy ready to shovel on sum homemade yeller rice. Plus I don't have da time to catch ya'll up wid GG's sojourn right now.

Sea-ya...

Hi Porchers! Porchies? I'm feeling a LOT better & have missed you all to no end. This is the first full day that my neck & shoulders have been pretty good for the whole day. I went to the store & picked up storm supplies & got them all carried in, so I feel like I need to keep this short or I'll mess myself up again. Got everything charged up in case we lose power during this storm. We still aren't sure where it's going to come in. Just hoping it doesn't decide to move in & sit on us for 4 days like TS Allison did. If it goes like it's projected I think Debadoo will get hit worse than we will down here. Anyway, just checking in a bit & getting off before I spend too much time trying to type & have a set back!
VERY impressed by Melinda, DH! That's fantastic that she did all that. Gurl!
Taking off now, Love you all!

Got my towel(s) and I don't think that they'll be able to confuse them in the laundry:D. Went with microfiber since it's better at cleaning glasses and touch screens.

Nermal,

I have been on at least one porch multiple times. Same crowd, same old sofa. At 71, I'm easily confused.

Yep Nermal has been here before - welcome back - still a great group of people here and plenty of room for one more if you decide to stay awhile... :D

Here's da closing chapter to da Iffy and Keyna (aka GG) 2.5 day saga:

Twas fate that allowed a Ginger (my last cherished phurry phamily member) 'reincarnation' to capture my heart for sixty hours of my existence. Due to time warps, life style schedules and reality, Keyna was finally reunited with her family today, NEW (one week) NEXT DOOR RENTAL NEIGHBORS!

I'm in a peaceful place morally; although I think I'll remember this brief 'encounter' as long as I breathe.
I'm also relieved in that karma/kismet/fate, ultimately my Lord and Savior, has guided me again with Love!
I'm really pizzed that our new neighbor said he has her county tags and a collar in the house!
I'm a lil' puzzled and somewhat concerned in that Keyna headed back into my front door as the owner was leaving. At least I can watch out for her.
I'm tickled in that Patty was the one to allow Keyna into the rest of the house, as opposed to keeping her in the kitchen with a child gate barrier.
I think Patty was more disappointed for me, when we found out where the dog 'belonged', than I.
I'm truly thankful that we have concerned loyal local organizations that are faithful to their 'dogmas'! That's how the owners discovered my phone number.

Apologize fer all da 'I's. But day-um, it was a very personal and special experience!

Do thank ya'll for your loving support with kind words and well wishes! Wadda grand group we have here...
