Got it....I think.
Did I mention that i've been having a tuff time with my brain lately?!
Lemme try again..none of them ever hear the loud vibrating/humming noise that i hear regularly, tho maintenance insisted that everyone hears it and it's "normal" but I'm the only one that's complaining.
Oh, and the complex manager was here with the grounds keeper, last week, her in the upstairs apartment and the guy in my apartment listening for that sound, which he heard LOUD n clear when she turned on the a/c. and let it run for a while.

my head hurts...I'm going to bed...![]()
Missed it by that much. Just read your message as I was headed for some zzz. Have a good one, Matt!Anybody around tonight. Once again insomnia struck but, this time I just got up and will stay up until tiredness sets in again. Probably another hour or so.
Other than that I am actually feeling kind of good right now. Looked in the hangout and there were no nightowls.
( you must understand that I was born blonde tho)
Suggestion-- if they won't resolve the root problem, can you trade apts with someone with a hearing loss? I have a setting on my HA's which filters out the sound of fans-- my air filter and AC together can become problematic at times.Lemme try again..none of them ever hear the loud vibrating/humming noise that i hear regularly, tho maintenance insisted that everyone hears it and it's "normal" but I'm the only one that's complaining.

HEY!!! I resemble that remark!![]()
If they refuse to fix the AC problem, offer moving as an option, if THEY do the moving. That should get them to rethink their choice.I really don't think it's the fan, I think it's the motor getting ready to die...it didn't make the weird loud noise last summer. And I'm not about to go thru the expense and hard labor, at my age, to move anywhere, they can just do their job and fix it.
The problem with giving that option is that you have to be prepared to follow through if management calls the bluff and says "OK". I'd offer something I'd be willing to do, like live rent-free until the problem was fixed. If they refuse to fix the AC problem, offer moving as an option, if THEY do the moving. Another blonde! Yay!! We DO have more fun don't we?!
BTW...that statement was tongue-in-cheek....
Well, I can say I don't have to highlight anymore - the grey takes care of that![]()
I know exactly! "Cept the last bunch of years it's turned ALL grayish-white! And i'm rather proud of it cuz, in spite of my misspent youth I'm still alive n kickin'!
