Forgot to mention that I am a little sore this morning. Slipped on the second stair from the bottom of the staircase and landed on the floor at the base of the stairs. I had managed to grab the railing and break my fall so didn't break anything except my pride. Bruised up pretty good though. Guess my clumsiness is showing through again. Doree says she is going to wrap me in bubble wrap if I keep this up. Take care everyone.

You'd better watch that kind of thing. You REALLY don't want to be breaking anything at this stage of your life.

Well, my 'puter went belly-up last night. Using a borrowed laptop (daughter's). Hopefully mine will be revived in a couple of days.

No idea yet if I can get to and use da HO. Will try later dis eve...

I'm kinda waiting for mine to do the same thing. Been doing quite a bit of backups lately.

I've posted this before I'm sure. I think it's great, and it doesn't conflict in my head with the Metallica version.

That song must strike a chord in a lot of people. I like this version even better than the bluegrass. Usually when I'm rolling to or from work, I play that song and fill the car with it.

Just to chime in on computer shopping, I did a lot of research last year before I decided on an Acer Aspire laptop. Right now the laptops are cheaper for what you get than desktops. I went with the Acer in part because the keyboard feels more like a regular one, with shaped keys. I also needed the touch screen, but they also do regular ones. Then Jim picked a Lenovo, and after working with that I decided that I liked my Acer even more.

I didn't think that I'd like a laptop, and had originally planned on getting a separate keyboard, but never did feel like I needed it. I do have a separate trackball/mouse since I never have gotten to like the touchpad. I pretty much use it like a desktop, always plugged in, but it is portable if needs be. The Acer doesn't seem to have as much bloatware as some of the others, and it was fairly easy to remove most of it.

I need one of these soooooooooo bad!!! don't need 3 monitors, but I need a recliner so bad, and this would be perfect. Now just need to win the lottery to pay for it!

I would recommend we keep 2Legs and those in Washington State in our prayers this evening. Those fires are horrible.
oh wow, didn't even know there were fires there

Deb, The fires in Washington State are on 2legs side of the mountains. They blew up from a small brush fire and were fanned by 50mph winds and all the dry grasses and such from the drought. The fire swept through a ritzy neighborhood and burned something like 20 houses to the ground overnight. The wind carried the burning embers into the center of the nearby town and caught three businesses on fire. One was a propane place that stored tanks of propane. I think those fires are still smoldering. I had read about them yesterday and saw a report on ABC News both yesterday evening and on tonight nightly news. I think if you want to read more about it or watch video coverage they have it at CCN.com.
Yes, I'm awake. Gonna go back to bed in a little bit. Just having a bit of trouble because if the body aches so I took some Motrin and as soon as it kicks in it's back to bed.

Reminds me of when we were in Nashville and went to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Barry Gibb was the guest. He and Ricky Scaggs did Staying Alive in bluegrass style. It was great! I know I have posted it here before....
I wish the BeeGees had sought medical assistance for the horrible maladies that caused their voices to become emasculated post-"Massachusetts" and "To Love Somebody".

I've heard "Stayin' Alive" a zillion times but haven't found a way to appreciate it even once.

JMHO, LOL. :)
