OK.....dancin's daughter just called, and she's still in ICU, but they'll be moving her soon to a room. She's doing really well, and they'll be taking all the tubes out soon. She was afraid with her BP going low that they wouldn't be able to give her enough pain meds, but they are giving her plenty, so that's good. Her daughter is taking her laptop back up to her. And she'll have plenty of help when she gets home. They really appreciate everyone's concern and good wishes.

Well, I still have to finish paying for the furnace fixing, and a little more to the IRS, but then it should be possible. Which should work out for timing, since it's looks like I missed the pre-order and they're not taking regular orders yet. I do have to try this though. It's been awhile since I've been on the front edge of any tech.

I will ask them if they will put up a contact site for you to get an e-mail when they are available... in the mean time, if you can get one for less than $200 that is good, go for it!! This one promises to be very good indeed!
Good news amoret!
If you'd like to know when we begin to accept pre-orders you can go to our website www.tiko3d.com and sign up to receive a notification.

hehehe jup.....might have to save some and present em to her when she's sober! lol
She is entertaining enough in normal mode. This should get interesting. Maybe a competition with R2C for entertainment points would be in order.

Great news! When they operated on my lung cancer I was in ICU for a while so it's not something to be real worried about. Keeping her in my prayers. Thanks again for the updates Deb.

In Oregon, a 16-year-old can have a sex change operation without parent consent and it's paid for by the government!
Diver, that's just another Fox story designed to "feed the outrage machine" no matter how much the facts have to be twisted. It is remarkable how many outlets made no attempt to vet Fox's claims, and just republished them verbatim.
Gender Spender : snopes.com

It's much more difficult to be totally shocked when the facts that Fox omitted or twisted are known. However, it's 15 years old, not 16 years old! :)

I remember when Oregon let a little boy die because they said it was too much money to spend on one individual to treat him. I think he was around 3-5 years old.
Using a Google search, I can't find any reference to this story. Can you furnish a link where I might read about it? Normally, it was insurance companies, not US states, that cut off health insurance coverage, but that was before Obamacare fixed that problem.

At any rate, this sounds like another story where the facts might well fall short of the spectacular headline, so I'd like to know where to find the facts.

Yeah it's sad the way so many folks take "faux" news as gospel. And it's not even American owned. I've watched many a speech that the reporters doing the comments turned around and stated things never said by the speaker.

oh, kay had a great idea earlier in the hangout that I had totally forgotten about. I know several are sending Dancin actual snail mail cards, but we can also put wishes on her profile page (at least I think we still can) I'm off to figger out how to do that. Well......figured out how to write something, but can't figure out how to put a pretty picture on there for her :(

ETA: Just asked on the xenforo thread so hopefully will get an answer soon

Ok being a fellow open heart surgery patient I can understand some of this can you fill me in on Dancing. Sorry I haven't been here to know. I been in the TC forums.
She had a valve replaced. I'm assuming mitral valve, but she didn't know. The had to crack the sternum for that. She also had a single bypass done. They had to replace more of the valve than they had thought once they got in there. Surgery was yesterday. She was afraid they wouldn't be able to give her strong enough pain meds due to BP going low, but her daughter said they're giving her some good strong pain meds, so she's doing fairly well. Will likely be in the hospital at least a week, but not sure at this point, and off work for a couple months.

Sounds more like the aortic same one I had replaced but could be mitral. If the had to replace more likely the aortic root. If it goes like mine 1-2 days in ICU then Cardiac Care unit which is like ICU but a little less. Still on all the monitors. Depends has she still got the breathing tube in? They won't take you out of ICU as long as that is in place. Sometimes a few hours sometimes a day. BP being low is something I live with always but they still will keep you really drugged up for 2-3 days. Is she awake and alert? Have they got here up and into a chair yet?

Her daughter called me at 10 am central and they were getting ready to remove the breathing tube, and try to get her up. Jup just the one valve. At that time they were hoping to move her into CCU sometime today

She should have her heart pillow. Coughing is really painful but you have to do it. Pillow helps. Hope they go a good placement unlike mine. It is a scary thing. My life has never been the same since. My BP was low but they still keep you drugged up pretty good. Low BP is normal after. It is supposed to return to normal which mine never did.
