That looks like fun Mike. You doing it yourself?

No - Janet didn't want the project to take forever to get 80% complete and then until eternity until the last 20% is done.

Tomorrow I leave for a 4 day fishing trip. The contractor will relocate outlets, run wiring for undercounted lights, run a gas line for the new gas range, run new wires to replace the 220V range outlet for a normal one, change the breaker box for the new line, change the plumbing around for the new sink, add an outlet for the garbage disposal (new code says they can't be direct wired), prep the walls for painting, fill in the space under the old floor cabinets to bring it up to the height of the finished tile floor, and some other miscl. stuff.

Oh happy me - all while I'm out on some beautiful fishing spots in central PA.

The cabinets come in next week and then the installation begins.

Randy, the contractor, is a friend of mine from the fly fishing club. He's been in the business for 30 years. He's between 'big' jobs so is fitting me in and offered us a real good price. Usually his kitchen make overs are in the $75K range and up. He just finished a job that had 50 linear feet of counter space. Yikes!

I'm having a really hard time tonight, so I came here to lean my friends
awwwwwwww I'm so sorry hun!! That's so hard. ((((((((((misswish))))))))

I'll be a bit preoccupied today as my dear friend was admitted to the hospital with septicemia from a cat bite.
Glad she's doing better and going home

That's what I was thinking in chat. But I was so excited about being able to hear.
Was so great to see you finally be able to participate fully! You've been so great to hang in there when you couldn't hear. So glad it's all working for you now!

Tomorrow I leave for a 4 day fishing trip
Good thing he's a friend and you trust him!! Have fun fishing!!

I'm having a really hard time tonight, so I came here to lean my friends. I had to take my kitty to the rainbow bridge today. She was mine for 14 wonderful years, my best fur baby ever. I knew it was coming but it still hit me so hard. Thanks for listening.

{{{{Misswish}}}} I'm so sorry. We've had to do that with several of ours over the years and it's always so hard. The good thing though is that you know they're not hurting anymore. Yeah, we do learn to live with the loss, but it still hurts, but don't forget to add memories of the good times you had together for so long. You gave her a good, loving life to live. So many critters don't get that. You were so lucky to have each other.

Hmmm, I wonder if my wife could live with just 50 linear feet of counter space (LOL). I think we have 15... :D

I can't imagine that. My house is 50 feet long. That's a lot of counter space. Probably has a walking refrigerator too. :D

Good thing he's a friend and you trust him!! Have fun fishing!!

Huh? I don't understand.

Hey everybody!

Seems like everywhere I go I'm being an advocate for vaping. Got another chance last night as some folk were disrespecting my vaping and I had to quote some statistics and explain some things. This will likely occur for a while, huh? It's all good.

I think it's going to happen for a very long time. So many either have no clue or misinformation. It does give us a chance to educate them though so it's not really a bad thing. Just don't let it throw you if they're determined to look at vaping with a bad attitude. Say your piece and then leave them alone with their problem if you see that nothing will convince them.

OK. I was going to post this yesterday, but it was pre-emptied by the sadness. Would not have been appropriate then...
Yesterday, I had run out of my high nic, and was feeling the effects of stress, so decided to see what was on Amazon prime for viewing.
Wanda Sikes "I'ma be me"
It's her standup right after Obama got elected the first time.
I don't find all her humor funny, but she has her moments and I felt it would be worth it to view. Free after all.
There were some points when I was laughing so hard, I could not breath. At on point, I had to pause the video and do my times tables while I went to the bathroom because I was getting dizzy and had to pee.

A good laugh is always a good pick me up

Even though Janet is quite capable, I can't imagine having a contractor in and leaving them alone, without me making sure they were doing it all the way I want it. But you know him and know he'll take pains to do exactly what you want

When an animal starts to bite when surprised, it's usually because it's in pain. Or, so I've heard.

That may very well be the case. I know she has been struggling with letting go of this cat for over 3 years. I am sure at times the cat is probably in a lot of pain. However, she is the one that has to make the decision or hopefully the cat can just go peacefully in it's sleep....... then no decision needed.

So far, I've made Flamingo (strawberry, peach and coconut), American Apple Pie, Peaches and Bavarian Cream, and Piña Colada. All have been great!! I'm really having fun with this DIY and it's nice to have the fine-tuned variety. Much easier than I expected it to be. I'll have to be hard pressed to buy another pre-mixed ejuice, except Betelgeuse, and I've got a clone recipe I'm eager to try on that one. The only thing I haven't liked, so far, is a chocolate brownie I tried to make. Just not caring for the heaviness of chocolate in a vape.:D

It is rather heavy isn't it. Never cared for it myself except I had a chocolate mint that I got somewhere when I first started that I liked. It was thick and a coil clogger for sure. I've seen clear chocolate flavors but don't know how good they are and really don't want to be the guinea pig.
