I usually shampoo twice and use conditioner. My hair is long and fine so without conditioner it is a bi... female dog.... to comb out!
See with the Dawn, I bet you would only have to shampoo once. That's saving money, I don't care how ya look at it. heehee Try it, what can it hurt?

hummmmmm
yeah but ya didn't come in!!!! lol

Some of you have been titillating my palate for too long now so i fixed myself a tv dinner tonight....
ooooo yummy crab cakes

1000 years ago they'd always say for shampoo, lather, rinse, REPEAT.
yeah but they never say get out dry off and try again tomorrow...... there's probably some danged fool still in there. Stands to reason since they feel the need to put instructions on the bottle to begin with! and yes, I swiped that from Jeff Foxworthy

I don't even comb mine. I just keep it clean and let it do its thing. I do splurge on a good cut about every 10 weeks.
Yeah I try to get a good cut every 10 years maybe. I've been to a beauty shop about 5 times in my life. I trim my bangs and cut hubby, son and daddy's hair every other Sunday. I've cut theirs for 30 years. At $18 a cut, that's 26 times a year. Times that by 30 and a rough savings figure is. . . $14,040 per person. All three have saved. . . $42,120. I did not include the calculations for tips because. . . I have not gotten a darn one.

Every since my daughter had one episode of Alopecia in 1st grade. I have grown my hair out and whacked it off and sent it to Locks of Love. Been doing that for 22 years. I've sent them everything from 10 inches to about 36. They do wigs for children and I always thought that was why she never had another problem. I know that is silly but. . .

I use purple shampoo. Not these brands, but.... Love The Gray: 5 Best Gray Hair Shampoos Expensive, I lather, rinse, repeat. Might start using dishsoap for the first time, just to make the bottle last longer.

I once had an allergic reaction, I think to Suave. My hair was a stringy, greasy mess after.

Are you sure it was the shampoo and not conditioner? A hairdresser friend once decided to do her hair at work before going to a function. She ended up grabbing the Alberto VO5 by mistake and it took forever trying to get it out!

I was whining to my hairdresser about the cost of shampoos and she recommended Tresomme' which worked very well for me and it's cheap enough, especially when you get the bib bottles on sale. Then I let the gray come in and use Jhirmack Silver Plus every other wash. It's great for the gray, but is hard to find.

Our daughter has fine blonde hair that would suck up the chlorine from our pool. It felt like wet straw when I washed it! A hairdresser recommended rinsing it in vinegar and cool water that really worked to clear out the residues! What a difference. The funny part was during the rinse she sat up and said, "Mommy, I smell like a pickle!". Yep, she did, but not once it was dry.

I had fairly long hair until about the time Mom died. I sent mine there, too. Even though it was about half grey, they sell it to help with expenses.

This was about 1971. I don't think there were many conditioners on the market then.

I did try to use the purple with every other wash, but CRS put the kibosh on it.

Yes I know that. Back when I first got started doing it, they said 10 inch minimum to do children's wigs and anything shorter they would sell to help. My daughter had really long hair. She did not go completely bald but I got up every morning and spray painted the top of her head so the other kids would not make me go over to the school and jerk a knot in their butts.

Yeah I heard it is really springy though. I'm going to give it a try just for the heck of it. Same atties same exact coil I am using with nickel should be a piece of cake. It is a little more expensive. I have found guaranteed surgical grade for $10 for 35' of 26awg. I hear it is kinda hard to make a coil because of the springiness but I don't think it will be a problem like getting nickel to work.

Uh Huh....

I did not make it to the hangout tonight cuz hubby had a good show in OK and I am working on restock to ship Tuesday for the next show.

Tomorrow Geordi's breeder is bring his sister to stay with us for a few days. She is keeping Trouble (pup's name coined at birth and it has stuck) and the little trouble maker can benefit from a different environment for a few days. Gonna be fun!

I have had long hair all my life. I figure I will loose "the girls" someday since breast cancer runs in my family (lost my mother to it in'93). When that time comes I will cut my hair and donate it. Til then, I would feel lost without it! I just tie it up in hot weather (or puppies).

Cornflour will get out oils and such from your hair , just saying. Put in dry not under the shower and brush out.

My brothers hair is probably a bit more than half his height.

He knows a lot about hair , and skin and whats good for your insides.
