Had a great time in the hangout last night. It was really nice seeing you all. Even the wire discussion was interesting. It's really nice to be able to get together occasionally. Isn't technology great. Just think about how far we've come, video calls were just a dream not even 20 years ago. It really is amazing sometimes when I just sit back and think about it. Bringing with it a whole new set of issues though. Security issues, privacy issues etc. I believe it will all work itself out in the long run though.
Good Morning to all and here's hoping we all have a good week. Looks good from my point of view as I had my first great nights sleep in a long while.
Wille, Sent you a PM.

It really is amazing how far technology has grown in the past sixty or so years!!!! Nowadays it's very difficult for me to even attempt to keep up with it:confused:

Back in Pre-Revolutionary War Days when I was a child, I was mesmerized by the Chester Gould comic strip, "Dick Tracy" .. the list of things that contributed to my deep wonder was the 2-Way Wrist Radio, which later evolved into the 2-Way Wrist TV .. when we visit, and I sit back and listen/watch, I realize I am experiencing the reality of a fantasy ..

However, I would like to begin a petition drive that will convince my friend Torey, if at all possible, to drop in on at least a semi-regular basis .. in the hope that I might be lucky enough to be there when she does .. ..

I got my 28 gauge nickel wire from Vapowire N200 Nickel Non-Resistance Wire - Wick Wire Mesh - RTA’s & RDA’s

I presume that it's tempered but it doesn't say. I always found it pretty easy to squish a kanthal coil and just don't perceive much difference. I was, in general, using 33 or 31 gauge kanthal, which was thinner than the nickel I'm using now.

I also got some 26 gauge nickel wire from Lightning Vapes, a place that offers a choice between tempered and annealed. I spent the extra bucks to get the tempered after googling tempered vs annealed and determining that the tempered would be stiffer. However, I've only used the 28 gauge wire so far and won't use the 26 gauge until such time as I get a TC PV that can handle under 0.1 ohms. My Heatvape Invader Mini has a lower limit of 0.1 ohms.

OK - I think I understand why you're not seeing a big difference in Nickel vs: Kanthal wire when coiling. You've been using 'skinny' Kanthal and that too can be soft / squishy when working w/ it compared to thicker 28g Kanthal.

Probably aught to bop Uncle Willie for calling me "Rush"!:) No offense taken at all. Love you all.

It is my duty and responsibility to offend everyone at one time or another .. and as I told Deb and others in a previous chat, I can take it as well as I can dish it out .. so at any time, anyone can feel free to say $#%& You, Willie, and I will chuckle and respect that .. :)

That said ..

Especially the "show n tell"?!:eek::blush:
..good thing for everyone that i don't drink anymore....I don't have enuf brain cells now...:)

I don't quite know what the implication is regarding the "show and tell" and the "If I still was a drinker, who knows what might happen" ..

If you don't want to elaborate, I understand .. ;)

Awwww, such a sweetie. I love surprising people. I might just do that. I think I have warned everyone enough of what it's like to be around me. At least when I post I can sit back and have a chance to change my mind. Which I do regularly. In person, if it cross my mind. . . it comes out of my mouth. Or maybe I am really shy. bahahahaha That was a good one, wasn't it?

Don't worry about a petition, but hearing you play the guitar would darn sure do the trick. I'm just sayin'. . .

Pouty lips and guitars. . . yeah, that'd do it.

Good afternoon, to all the objects of my affections.

I believe it would not be difficult to find testimony from others that I suffer from the same affliction .. (Deb, back me up here) .. ;)

Lye soap will get the oils out of your hair too.... Not gonna use that either ;)
But closer to home.... Dry oatmeal also will remove the oils... Not gonna use that either.

Still doing my daily evening walks, starting to lose weight again. I try to add or change something each week.
Last week, I only had my boiled eggs on the weekdays... Toast and butter on the weekends...
This week: lime water.
I've read that lime juice (or lemon) added to a cup of warm water at least a half hour before breakfast, will help you to lose weight because the citric acid will burn fat. The soluble fiber is supposed to help too.
Gotta tell you... This is NOT the best tasting thing in the world. Lime juice is not sweet, or sour. It is bitter/sour.

All REAL soap is made with lye (sodium hydroxide mixed with liquid). Any skinwashing product or shampoo made without sodium hydroxide is a detergent, not a soap
Commercial "soap" bars and handmade soap bars are also made with lye even though the words "sodium hydroxide" or "lye" do not appear on the labels. Does your bar of "soap" contain ingredients such as...

  • saponified oils: oils and butters are mixed with sodium hydroxide and a liquid (usually water).
  • sodium cocoate: the generic name for the mixture of coconut oil with sodium hydroxide (lye).
  • sodium palmate: the generic name for the mixture of palm oil with sodium hydroxide (lye).
  • sodium palm kernelate: the generic name for the mixture of palm kernel oil with sodium hydroxide (lye).
  • sodium tallowate: the generic name for the mixture of beef fat (tallow) with sodium hydroxide (lye).
  • sodium olivate: the generic name for the mixture of olive oil with sodium hydroxide (lye).
The cornflour absorbs , its something if people don't want to wash their hair all the time.
The oatmeal would go gunky and sticky after absorbing the cornflour does not.

Last night was fun in the hangout. I enjoyed talking to all of you even if some of it was about f@@@@@g wire. Try to stay cool 100 today with thunderstorms. So far we have missed any really bad weather so I guess it is our turn. Didn't sleep well last night was worried about fire. I don't hear that well and if I had to get out in a hurry would be bad having to put my legs on first. Plus I wouldn't hear anything. Slept with one hearing aid on just in case. Hard to get the motorhome packed in this heat. I'm not suppose to be in the heat according to my cardiologist. Plus we are trying to get packed up to be gone for 1 1/2 months. We are only 1 week into summer. We had no winter to speak of or snow or rain so everything here is dry as a popcorn fart. I just heard yesterday broke records set in the 1800's

I like Uncle Willie's explanation for it. "We've pooped on Planet Earth, so now she's pooping on us." Of course, you must fill in the blanks because poop wasn't the word he used. :D

That's a whole lot better than trying to guess what's on your mind. ;)

Like I always say, "I've got an opinion and I'm not afraid to use it.. "

How's that Gumbo and Beignets coming along .. ?? I may have forgotten to mention I'm also a big fan of dirty rice, red beans and rice, Jambalaya and Étouffée .. no pressure .. ;)
