Hello, everyone! Sorry, I don't type too well with this little monitor on my finger.

Deb and I kept missing each other's calls yesterday. But, since I'm awake and Deb seems to have gone to bed early, I'll try to give my own report.

Things are moving along pretty well. I may even be going home today. Although, the way I feel right now, I hope they give me one more day.

The doctors and nurses have almost all been very kind and caring. The hospital , a private hospital, has been amazing. And, the nurse practitioner that insisted on walking me over to the ER in the first place has called me a couple of times to check how I'm doing.

Well, the pain meds seem to be finally kicking in. Time to try to grab a nap.

My library also uses Overdrive. I have never read a book on my laptop. I have always used my Kindle. Although a friend of mine uses a tablet and it she likes it.
I read a lot of public domain books, and haven't been able to transfer PDF's to kindle. Some that I have are unreadable (very tiny print) and unmanageable when I increase size.

So glad to see you posting! Hugs!

If it's been a while, might try again. And maybe try to run down an "older" version? What OS?

{{{{{Dancin}}}}} So glad to see you post! Woke up this morning wondering how you were doing and voila! Here you are. If you think you need another day I'm sure you won't be afraid to speak up and tell 'em! We want you home and feeling better than ever, but don't overdo! Prayers still coming for a speedy recovery.

Dancin'! Great that you're doing so well!!:banana::banana::banana:

As said, DON'T rush it! Don't want you undoing all the good results!

My library also uses Overdrive. I have never read a book on my laptop. I have always used my Kindle. Although a friend of mine uses a tablet and it she likes it.

I moved from an antique Android 7" tablet to a 10" Win8.1 "Transformer" - keyboard detaches for use as a tablet, so great for books. Never really liked Android - too darned intrusive... (Not that Windoze can't be as well, but I've been using it so long I pretty much know what to look for and how to stop it.)

I read a lot of public domain books, and haven't been able to transfer PDF's to kindle. Some that I have are unreadable (very tiny print) and unmanageable when I increase size.

Had the same problems with pdf's on Android... Might see if Calibre is available for Kindle. If so, I think you can d/l library books and use it to read them. It DOES handle most e-book formats, and several others.

I have messed around with calibre, never learned how to use it well enough. Will experiment with that. And try direct loading again.

{{{{{Dancing}}}}} Glad to see you online. I will echo what others have said about Deb keeping us updated. However, it is much nicer hearing your own update. Props to your daughter, too.

I have used the cheap roller chairs from Office Depot for so long I can't remember when I got my last one. Today I splurged on myself and picked up an Executive style chair with an adjustable lumbar. The chair is also for the "Big & Tall". I am 6/2 and definitely not small. I am sitting here in heaven. It is a nice splurge.

Well, no reason to change my mood indicator. Another sleepless night. Surprising too, worked hard yesterday and I got a ton done so I should have been exhausted. Who knows, I sure don't. I do know I'm clumsy as hell today. Thought it was a good idea to get some work done in the garage/shop again today. Wasn't out there for 10 minutes before I turned around and wacked my forehead on the edge of an open drawer of my roll around toolbox. Big gash but, not stitch worthy. Doree just gauzed and taped it for me and forbid any more work even remotely dangerous until I get a good nights sleep.
