Nope, I mean, I quite literally walked into the nose end one night. There's a metal pitot tube that sticks out of the front end of a 206 Bell helicopter. It measures airspeed and what not. I was helping out with some headsets, and I went to walk around to the other side of the aircraft and walked right into it. It jabbed me quite nicely in my thigh.

Ouch! I know exactly the tube your talking about. Steps down to a smaller size about six to eight inches from the end, right? Little ice might help. Did you bruise up?

Are you using a Sub tank w/ the prebuilt coils? Over in the VT thread folks have noticed issues w/ that setup not being stable. The Sub tank w/ the rebuildable deck seems to be OK.

I was using the new Subtank and also the Herakles. It is amazing really, I get much better vape from the new Subtank than the old one. Almost as nice a draw as the Herakles. For now I have switched out the Ni coils. Still doing some thinking on the TC. Happy with the Subtank at 20 watts and the Herakles at 35.

Last night at ten PM, I washed my car. It took me the better part of an hour because of all the bugs. When I was done, I was swimming in sweat and worn out. That was at ten PM!! If I have anything to do in the hangar, I wait until the sun goes down.

Oh goodness, I remember the love bugs from when my wife was stationed at the Orange Reserve Center in SE Texas. Horrible little beast to get cleaned off the hood and windshield.

OK. Got ahold of the two most important. No pain killers. Tylenol will have to do for tonight.

Sorry to hear about the meds. If you were closer I would loan you a couple. Really glad to hear you are home.

I was too busy that night to think about ice. It hurt quite nicely. And, yes, I bruised up quite well.

Seems to me that ALL families have misunderstandings and spats now and then. I know MINE does! It goes with the territory. And while for me, certainly, and I think for all of us here on the porch family, heck, we're all in this world together, all care for each other, and all are here to do what we can to support each other in getting through it all.

Hiccups along the way are merely that - brief hiccups that we'll all laugh and reminisce about later down the road.

Apology definitely not needed - but accepted anyway.

My post was done in a retrospective mood .. and it also includes things I may have said in the chat, or in a PM ... the last few months for me have been tough ... emotionally, I'm dealing with moving to that last phase of things, I don't feel relevant much anymore .. and I also feel a little self serving in talking about it here, since others have much larger issues they deal with .. life just seems to be turning more and more colorless ...

I got attacked by those big asian tiger mosquitoes while walking the dog the other day. Left a bite on the side of my right knee that festered so bad I had to go to the doc for it. She gave me some prescription steroid creme that brought the swelling down but, it's still healing up and it's been a week. Skeeters, we got some damn skeeters!! You are absolutely correct, it's a BAD year for them and everybody thought it wouldn't be because of the big freezes we had last winter. Shows what they know (or don't know).

Hate to brag (like heck) but we've only had about three years in the past year when mosquitos were bad here, and then only in the brushy areas along the river. Actually, I'm pretty sure Farmington has about the best four season weather in the contiguous forty-eight.
