Not a dam thing is good about it this morning. I'm on the verge of exploding..
Too long a story....suffice to say.....spent time on the phone with my prescription provider over 10 days ago.....told them I didn't want ANYTHING shipped before the middle of this month, as I don't have funds and can't afford a $50 overdraft charge from my bank. Went to check my bank balance this morning and .....
got told on the phone just now the order is too far into process to cancel......the label has already been printed. Told her I wasn't going to say where they could put their label

Oh dang yiddle ... that's just not right.
That is exactly why I don't do autopay, auto order anything. I order & pay everything, including my bills. My income is too restricted to risk someone else to have access to it. I manage the daylights out of my money.Not a dam thing is good about it this morning. I'm on the verge of exploding..

I didn't sign up for automatic refills.....and they took it upon themselves to retain my payment info. That's why I'm so bloody angry. They leave cryptic messages on my answering machine to call about a pending prescription......nothing identifying what it is. When you call.....have to go through a myriad of automated menus , which keep asking for the 'scrip number, which I obviously don't have as they don't tell me what they're calling me for. And if you do have the number......the only option is to place an order. When you finally reach a live person they ask for most of the info you've already input to the automated menu all over again.....and then here we go.....What 'scrip are you calling about? I've gone through it before with them.....How in Hades am I supposed to know what they're asking me to call about? My first time around, a few months ago....when asked why I was calling.....I told them I didn't have a clue....was simply responding to being told I needed to call.

It wasn't long ago in the HO that I expressd how much I detest CVS and caremark. This is just another example of why....
Yes, it was on its death bed a little over 25 years ago. Then a guy came around, that has about 25 million listeners, that revived it. Many followed his success, but no one has come close to equaling it.

Yiddle, I don't know how most can afford their prescriptions thru the CVS/Walgreens etc. My dad gets most of his prescriptions thru Planetdrugsdirect.com I know one of his prescriptions would have cost him over $500 with one of the Big Pharmacy outlets in America. He gets it for less than $100 with Planetdrugs. Last year when I was in florida I got bit by something and developed cellulitis (my hand swelled up like a balloon). The doctor at the emergency room prescribed an anti-biotic. It was late at night and the only place open was Walgreens; they wanted $75 to fill the prescription. I opted to wait until the morning to get it filled and went to Publix grocery store that filled the prescription for $0. Walmart wanted $4 and Kmart $10. Sorry to hear about your problem.
I use the site gethuman.com to find alternate phone numbers. Not all businesses are covered, of course, but many are.
You enter the outfit you need to call and it can provide either a different phone number or a sequence of keys to punch to cut through all the auto garbage.
Not foolproof, but works often enough to check out.

If you can't afford to pay for supplemental coverage..medicare assigns you a prescription provider.....in my case Caremark.....I can go elsewhere to fill them, but......it would cost me more as they won't pay their part if I'm outside of their assigned pharmacies
That's a crying shame, Yiddles. I feel for ya, having fought with our provider. Finally pulled a couple of necessary scripts local just to make sure we could get them in a timely manner.
