the one problem with lithium ion is that their lifecycle begins on the date of manufacture not the date of purchase. If these were sitting in a warehouse for 2 years before you bought them they wouldnt last as long as if they were factory fresh. Its all relative and its not like they just quit working...they get to the point where you drain they really quickly then you have go buy some more. You are already taking spares with you. :)

I don't think they're draining too quickly - yet... I think it's just that I chain vape (I was a 2PD + smoker) so I use them up. Usually the 1300 and the 1100 together will get me through one whole day, and then the back-up I use when they're charging. I've ordered two more so I have a back-up back-up if the back-up dies. I did a counter once and I puff 195 times in 2 and-a-bit hours, which is about 5 ciggys an hour, which would be about how I was smoking (that's a frightening thought)... granted I was at a pub when I did the test (I puff more when drinking), but bottom line is when I wasn't at work I did chain-smoke :(

When you-all leave your house, what do you take with you?

Just 1 full PT II on one Sigelei V3 Tele with a fully charged 350. However, I took "a while" to figure out how to get supplies for 2 weeks on a cruise ship. :D That experience showed me that I don't need all the stuff I was carrying around town for just a few hours of being away from home base.

Thank you all for the warm welcome, feels comfy here on the porch. I found EFC through one of the vape websites, looking for info. I always do a lot of reading before I jump into something new, so this was the place! And the porch gang here were my kinda folks and age group, I can relate to you all better than the 20 year olds, yes? Started with the cig-a-likes, yuck. Got my mom and my daughter started, too! Now we all have twists, much better. Got some sample juices to try. Lots more learning to do but this is the right road and I'm having fun.

On most threads I see a lot of carto and battery and who-likes-what-device-best stuff, much more so than what juice companies/flavours people like best. The juice to me is a big thing.... does anyone have any favourites? (I really need to get up off my behind and do something today besides my taxes and nosing about the E cigarette forum, lol.)

columbus, oh
i take my mvp which i average around 1300 puffs out of running anywhere from 8 - 10 watts depending upon atty and juice.

I also carry a handful of clearos/tanks, a backup ego stick, and my newest RDA. And always 4 or 5 small bottles of juice. The fits nicely in a small hardshell camera bag in my work stuff. I figure i can go for a week or two on what i am carrying.

A local B&M has a couple pretty good flavors, but that doesn't help many people out here.

I just got a 4 bottle sampler from Good Life Vapor and 2 flavors are really tasty- High Five (tobacco, vanilla and bourbon) and Magic Fairy (absinthe). I'm definitely ordering bigger bottles of both. They recommend letting the Magic Fairy age for a week, but I don't know if the 10 ml. I got will last that long. I bet the High Five would get better with age, but I don't think it will last that long either.

When you-all leave your house, what do you take with you? I always take a minimum of 3 batteries with 3 different flavours in the tanks/cartos on them and one charger. Is that normal??

Now I don't feel so alone.
I take 4 spinners type batteries, with a different flavor in each, plus a spare battery I can swap out.
I stand them up in a heavy duty 1 qt freezer bag and slip them into the side pocket of my purse.
I don't close the top of the bag, so I can just grab one when I want.

I think the people that just carrying one, have found their ADV, which I don't have ... I need variety.
Now ...If I'm going for a few days, .. that's a different story
I spend more time planning and packing my "hobby" than I do clothes.
Ohh, and I don't take as many changes of clothes as I did before ... makes for more room

The "good" mods, never get to go bye bye
No matter how much I would like to show them off, I won't take the chance of losing one of them.

So I guess "being cheap" means you get to go out more

Not sure how true it is and actually I doubt it is, but I read somewhere that 10 puffs vaping is about the same as one puff with a cigarette. Sounds crazy to me, but what do I know.

I vape mostly butterscotch, but also found I'm really liking Vanilla Butternut (both from MBV) and Butter Pecan. Max VG with 2 xtra flavor shots 18mg 30ml bottles.

Got some of their flavorings and make them my self for a lot less money...although, their prices are reasonable IMO. :)

Kind of what I thought, too. Then I saw somewhere on here last night (so it HAS to be true, right ?) that nicotine absorption from vape is only about 20-30% what it is from a cigarette. It was stated that the reason was the size of the particle, apparently the nicotine particle is a lot bigger with a vape, so the lung doesn't absorb it as efficiently. If so, that would be 3-5 vape puffs = 1 cigarette puff.

I know if I hit the smokes as much as I hit my PV, I'd be face down on the floor...

I just ordered some things from Mt. Baker Vapor! I haven't tried them yet, and am hoping for some good stuff :D My favourite vendor to-date is Vapor Chef. He doesn't use any of the D chemical and his flavours I find are really, really complex which I like. I also buy some from my local B&M - they have good stuff and I like to support local small businesses.

Welcome to the porch! It wraps all the way around the building, so lots of space :)

What a wonderful visual, a wrap-around porch! It brings to mind some old-style porches that are huge that I've seen in older homes (like turn of the century, 1900 to 2000, not 2000 to 2100). Those big, old 3-story houses that you only see in historic districts.

Lots of room for cozy little groupings and for milling around.

Anyway, I called all the vape shops in San Antonio. I even discovered a new one. No one has classes. One store said that they used to, but don't anymore. Another store (the newest one) said to check back in a week and they may start one.

However, 5 of the 7 shops said that they could help walk me through it and give me tips, just no actual classes. I have 2 shops picked out to go try. Wish me luck.

I'm thinking micro-coils might be the way to go. They just seem simpler. Spacing on the regular coils seems so hard. And, it's not even just my bad eyesight. It's that there's too little room to work with. I want between 1.8 and 2.2 ohms. That's a lot of wire to fit in such a small space!

I don't even want to think about how mad juice vendors used to make me. What an incredible waste of money most of my juice purchases were! I decided they could all go play with themselves, and I started making my own juice.

It's a very rare occasion that I get a wild hair and decide to actually pay someone for juice. It's usually the catchy names that get me, like Zombie Brains. Who could resist that? If not to vape, to at least have a bottle of Zombie Brains sitting around!

I LOVE MtBakers Cucumber Mojito. It is actually the only juice I buy at this point. I DIY everything else.

Welcome to all the new vapers!

Such a treat to come here and see the numbers increase by the day!

When we go away, I probably do overkill with my supplies, but that's the only way I know I won't get caught without a vape.

When I'm with a group of vapers, I'll use my APVs, but when I'm with a group of folks who don't vape, I'll use my 1100 and 1300s, and sometimes my 650s....just for low profile. Always have my carto tanks with me! Aspires, too!

Last night we went to a SB party, and one of my friends is still smoking but because we had a crowd of folks in the room she decided to get her PV out..........an Ego with a decent topper w/Butterscotch. We vaped together very happily. She is one of my v-verts and it sure does feel good!

Wow. Are you folks the sort that rushes out to buy an extra gallon of milk and a loaf or two of bread every time it's supposed to snow the next day too? I leave with a fully charged eGo 900 battery and a filled ProTank mini or BCC clearomizer. If I'm doing a grab and dash because I'm running late I'll grab a 2nd battery because that's faster than making sure the one I have is charged. I'm like my 18650 devices and big tanks at home but just can't see actually using those monsters in public.

For you (don't want to say nooby) going on a shopping spree at Mt.Baker.
don't forget to put ... vaporfrombaker ... in the code box for your discount.
It's not a special, it always works, and if you spend more than $25, you'll get a free 15ml bottle.
Also, if you have a flavor you would like to try for free, ask for it in the comment box.
Sometimes you'll get it (or something they are testing the buyers on anyway)
Have fun shopp'in
