Sweet I just found my vision spinner between seat cushions. tank still on it and has a charge. I thought it was lost outside the house. I guess it's my lucky day. The aspire tank didn't leak any of that cinnamon stick bun juice. I'm living large as it has been hiding for a week +.
Felt a need to share.

Thank heaven there's a section for us oldsters, especially ones with health problems. That description fits me to a T. ---1 1/2 pks a day for 46 yrs and after I year on vaping, 1 year vacationing from vaping and finally back to vaping, I'm down to 5-7 cigs a day. Before anyone says anything, I realize that I haven't quit but it's been extremely difficult for many reasons, but I'm trying.
Dave

Hang in there....vaping, juice and vape gear keeps getting better. Your mission is to find the best that suites you in the three categories.

Great pain today, fibromyalgia's really bad. But at least I can view ECF forum. Even via Tapatalk, a mobile app. Howdy all, waiting on vapemail, got a shipping notice for the Black Russian I won on mod envy. I assume it'll be the spiffy new V2.0 version, not that I'd know it from the cheapest Chinese clone. Fingers crossed I'll like it.

AndriaD, so how do juices taste in a red clearomizer? :D

Good info, I'll add that instead of a lighter you can buy rechargeable torch
Amazon.com: Gun Metal Color 90 Degree Angle Refillable Butane Torch Lighter with Hands Free Flame Lock - Metal - 2 3/4 Inch: Everything Else
I keep this tiny one in my vape box. I only say this because lighters can get hot while torching. It is about the same size as a lighter.

I like the torches that you drop a disposable lighter into instead of having to refill with butane.

But i have found that i dont need to get the stuff that hot... the ligher will oxidize the wire enough to take the spring out of it. To compress the coils i use the Mech to heat the wire and then mash it with the fat-head tweezers. Just dont mash the power button and the coil at the same time....lol

Hey, just cutting down is a *tremendous* achievement and you should feel PROUD! I started seriously vaping about the end of Jan, and immediately went from about 15 a day to about 3-4 a day, then it just kept getting lower -- 2 day, then 3 days where I only smoked 1, and the last 2 of them tasted like CRAP, so I figured, why waste money? Just vape! So last Friday I went without my morning smoke and had my first 24 hrs smoke free! After 39 yrs as a smoker! :D It boggles my mind, how easy this has been -- I was giving myself to the end of the year, but I barely made it to the end of February! :D

Now apparently I can wake up in the morning without my asthmatic lungs having a hissy fit! It's awesome!! :thumb:

Sorry to hear about your fibromyalgia; I've thought for a while that might be what causes me so much pain, because I'm only 52, why would my whole body just hurt all the time? But, that medicine that advertise for it on TV says it can cause or worsen depression... I figure I can cause myself enough depression all on my own, don't need a med to do it for me. :)

I have to say though, that after just 6 days I can already tell, I'm on my way to NOT feeling 10-15 yrs older than I actually am, and hey, maybe I won't look it, either! :p

The red ARO is just fine -- I'm going to post in the DIY forum about the "frankenjuice" I just mixed up with a lot of the cinnamon in it; used about 6 diff ejuices and it turned out pretty good, though with a soft throat hit (because of the clove?), so I think it woud be GREAT for morning, when a hard throat hit makes me start coughing the way cigarettes did. So I'll call my creation "Morning Spice"!

Yeah I'm a old schooler but I always end up torching it then firing it on device to fine tune my micro coil on device anyway. Go figure.

The red ARO is just fine
They advertise Lyrica for fibromyalgia and lately also for diabetes nerve damage pain. Never did much for my pain,. Savella worked much better along with Ultram. But that pair costs close to a grand a month. I'm unemployed and without insurance so it's been 2 years since I could afford meds. Even when I had insurance the copay was $75 each. They aren't cheap drugs. But you might keep them in mind if you talk to your doctor about fibromyalgia.

Couldn't resist teasing you about the ARO, I know how much you were looking forward to getting it. They just released a version 2 of the ARO that's supposed to be better.

Yeah I saw that one, but I really liked the look of the old one better, and, the old one holds more, which would be great when I'm going to be out of the house for a good while.

I hear you about no insurance... ever since the company that my husband worked for for YEARS closed up shop in '06, I've had none either; I had to apply for the "low income" plan with Glaxo-Smith-Kline just so I could still have asthma inhalers. Naturally I'm planning on signing up for "obamacare", but I figured I'd get a MUCH better rate if I could sign up as a non-smoker. :thumb: so I'll give it a month or so, just so I can PROVE to anyone who cares, that I'm really a non-smoker, then I'll see what I can see about that. :thumb: We're still pretty low income, though better than the 2 yrs before, so I should be able to get a decent rate, as a poor unemployed non-smoker. ;)

Glad to see ecf is back. So weird, they went down and all hell broke loose in my life at the same time.

I've been informed that my worker's comp checks are being docked 40% now and 25% of what's left goes to my attorney. The 25% I was aware of. The 40% they just threw at me. So now I have to find another place to live, meaning I can't afford this one and there isn't anything cheaper for over 100 miles, so it will be a serious, rent a uhaul type, move. I was barely making it to start with, no way I can do this on 700 a month. This has been going on for 2 yrs and every time I turn around they are screwing me in some way, from losing my insurance, to accidentally forgetting to mail me my checks for weeks at a time and now this. I am on disability. no longer able to work, but they insist I look for a job. Makes no sense and you wouldn't think they could require a disabled person to look for work. SMH

This so sux and I am SO over it. Sorry bout the rant, but I'm about to lose my mind. No risk of losing my 'quit' though, can't afford smokes!

ncpatches, I'm sorry to hear things are rough right now. Is there anything we can do? I've got some extra juices sitting around I'd be happy to send your way, pm me if ya want. Hugs

Thank you hon, but I diy and have a good stock of supplies.

Like I said, I'm good as far as vaping is concerned. Luckily or unluckily, I just added over $300 worth of vape stuff to my mastercard, before I found out. So I may be living in my truck, but I'll be vaping my head off!:vapor:

I might need to think about a car charger..........

Uh oh...people have been talking about rebuildables in here. So here's some advice I gave someone in another thread, but couldn't remember which thread it was in until it was "liked" today.

Just a quick breakdown:
Longer wire=More resistance, so more wraps will increase the resistance.
Thinner wire=More resistance as well.
Thicker wire=Less resistance/lower oHms.

This has to do with electrical flow. For an analogy, imagine you have a gallon of water. You need to put that water in another container. You can transfer it through a drinking straw (thin wire/high resistance) or through a garden hose (thick wire/low resistance). The water flows much easier through the garden hose.

The thicker the wire, the lower the awg (wire gauge) number. So 28 awg is thicker wire than 32 awg.

Most people use 30 awg on the Kayfun. I bought my wire when the Aga-T was all the rage, and most people were using 32 awg, so that is what I use, because that is what I have. 4 or 5 wraps get me a 2.5 ohm coil.

Mine is caused by hemachromatosis. Might get checked for that. I am much younger than you and it has already caused a heart attack, kidney problems, and severe arthritis.
