Sorry - someone was talking about peaches and cream cotton yarn and I can't remember who....
I bought some. This gives the nice hit without the cotton taste? I got the "ecru" (which I'm hoping isn't dyed, lol). So just boil some up. How many strands did you use for a wick? I usually take out one of the flavour wicks in my coils, so is one strand equal to one wick?.... Thank you!
Dave and Iowa gave some good pointers. My rule of thumb depending on the coil I.D. is the cotton should go through easily, not loose. Then when it aborbs the juice and expands it swells to make a nice fit in the coil.
I am debating my vapeversary presie as that is coming up soon....hehehehehe

I really liked getting my 1st one, then was even happier to get a backup, the 3rd one just added to the happiness.
I just ran across those a couple weeks ago very nice work and so nice looking.
Well, much as it pains me to admit it, I have to confess to being a somewhat "older folk" -- 53, this coming May. I've smoked since just before I turned 14, in 1975, and have tried about 4 times to quit, since about 1984, when I was 23 -- so smoked for nearly 39 yrs now, and have been trying to quit for just about 30 of those 39. Frankly I had about given up hope of ever being able to quit, though I've managed, in the last 16 yrs, to go from 3+ pks a day, to, right now, about a half-pack a day.
A couple months ago, a friend of my husband's gave me a "fin" e-cig; I thought it was an excellent idea, poorly executed -- tasted like pipe tobacco to me. Then, just before this past xmas, I bought an "Njoy," in the light (gold) version. Was more pleased with it; the size, shape and feel were just about right, and the throat hit was amazing -- but it tasted like eucalyptus, more Hall's cough drop than cigarette. So, then I bought a Blu, which against tasted like pipe tobacco, but was the most expensive disposable e-cig at my local Walgreen's. So about 2 wks ago I came to my computer and typed "e-cigarettes" into Google, and found this place; last Saturday I got an "eRoll"; I really like the size, shape, and general look/feel/operation of the thing; I got the silver one, because it looks nothing like a real cigarette, so some imbecile won't be telling me, hey, you can't smoke here -- to which I would have to reply, seen a lot of silver cigarettes with blue fire, have you?
This past week has been challenging; 18mg was WAYYYYY too strong; 12mg seemed ok at first, but later made me very ill. So now I have to get some juice in 6mg, and something NOT tobacco, because the smell of the tobacco e-juice and e-vapor just kinda grosses me out. I don't smoke that much anymore, and I think I'm already starting to smell how foul they really are, and smelling the "e-juice" kind is really awful to me. So I'm going to get some strong peppermint and hot cinnamon, and see if those might not substitute very well for a "throat hit." I guess I figure, if I'm going to leave cigarettes behind, why drag the smell of 'em with me?
So that's where I've gotten to, in 1 wk of attempted vaping. At least my consumption of cigarettes has gone down, since I've been involved in this, and there is hope that it will continue decreasing until I finally just ask, why bother? Vaping is how I intend to become a MUCH "older folk", instead of dying too young with some horrible lung disease, as my father did.

Andria - welcome to the porch and thanks for sharing you story. Stick around with us an before you know it, you'll be smoke free and one of the old-timers of vaping. I smoked for 45 years and gave up trying to find the will power to quit - then a couple years ago my wife and I got into vaping and it's been such a life changer to say nothing of all the good folks we've met here at ECF.
