Need a little help. I'm in south florida, Deerfield Beach, taking care of my mother in law. I need to find a brick and mortar store arpund here. Does anybody know of any or does anybody have link they can post for the website thathelps find them. Thanks in advance.

Sent with my arthritic thumbs with proofreading help from the hound!

Matt, when I was in Fort Myers I googled vape shops or eCigarette stores and found one pretty close to where I was. You could try that. I think there are pretty many of them in FL so you should be able to find one nearby. Good luck and let us know how you make out and how our MIL is.

THANKS!

Actually I have NO IDEA where that original 99 number came from, and I've asked them how to change it. I think to be noticed it needs to be at least 5000, maybe 10K. But I googled for 1/2 hour and came up empty on how to set that.

I think I heard that this administration changed it so 20k before they'd look at it. Not sure, but remember thinking that it was about twice the number it had been.

That's for a White House petition.

People in office don't have time to worry about the Party shooting itself in the foot, they're too busy trying to swap votes and get reelected. This petition is targeted at Democratic Party strategists, I could have kept the number at 99 but it would not be impressive-enough.

I plan to turn this in at least to the National, California, and Santa Clara County Democratic committees, and once the number is high, will be asking for folks to help send copies to their own states and counties, especially if your county contains a major city.

For everybody who is NOT an ex-Democratic sympathizer, I'd like to point out that medical organizations and public safety officers are testifying and lobbying AGAINST us, so if you have friends, family, or self in medical or public safety areas, feel free to write to THOSE organizations instead!

Utah residents and all LDS members might want to point out that it is smoke not nicotine that does the harm to the body (though the caffeine prohibition in the Church will mitigate against that argument to some degree.)

We have a LOT of education to do. Meanwhile I'm trying to design T-shirts but I'm severely artistically impaired. Too bad you can't put a long-winded Great American Novel on a T-shirt and have impact that way.

I thought the number of signatures needed to be considered for the while house had been changed from 5000 to 20,000. That was almost right, but doesn't matter because they changed it again. Now you need 100,000 within a 30 day period to be considered... I googled white house petition threshold. Here's part of it -

Why We’re Raising the Signature Threshold for We the People

When we launched We the People, none of us knew how popular it would be, but it's exceeded our wildest expectations. Through the past year, interest in We the People exploded and we're closing in on 10 million signatures.

When we first raised the threshold — from 5,000 to 25,000 — we called it "a good problem to have." Turns out that "good problem" is only getting better, so we're making another adjustment to ensure we’re able to continue to give the most popular ideas the time they deserve.

Starting today, as we move into a second term, petitions must receive 100,000 signatures in 30 days in order to receive an official response from the Obama Administration. This new threshold applies only to petitions created from this point forward and is not retroactively applied to ones that already exist.

In the last two months of 2012, use of We the People more than doubled. In just that time roughly 2.4 million new users joined the system, 73,000 petitions were created and 4.9 million signatures were registered.

Oops. Sorry, I forgot yours is the one for CA. I've signed so many of these I forget where they're going to!

Not for CA, but not for the White House either. For all Democratic Party Committees nationwide. That's 1 + 50 + # of counties in the country. (And maybe the media....)

Anyone who knows about building coils (Mike, Myrany, etc.):

I just read here that micro-coils heat up very, very slowly if you make your coils over 1.5 ohms. Is that true?

I really don't like the heat of such low resistance coils. So, should I not bother with micro-coils? Should I stick with the old style since I prefer closer to 2.0 ohms?

So, is there an in-between? Some coils touching, some not? Should I be googling this? I'm not getting enough vapor (which could be good, where vaping is forbidden) but maybe I'd like more when I'm outdoors?

Thanks to all for the info! So many have replied, I won't try to address each of you individually but just say Thank You!

After spending most of the night reading reviews and discussions on any mods I might be interested in on FT, I think I have come to a decision. I'm looking at the Innokin ITaste SVD for my first 'mod'. Any thoughts? Anyone have one that would like to fill me in?

I did notice that it weighs about 5 ounces, but the rest of them are about the same or heavier, same size or larger. So I guess that will just have to be. Size and weight concern me, but if that is the price to pay for readily available batteries and to continue vaping, I can deal with it.

I also am looking at Panasonic 3400mah batts, flat top, unregulated and the nightcore charger. Hate to say I liked another pyrex clearo too, that I don't need, but it's so shiney and cute!:laugh: Since I decided against the 'kit' that comes with the I30's, another tank isn't totally out of line, right? I mean, I haven't bought ANYTHING vaping related this month and not going to by this until March, so that's ok, right?

I think I'd like to have this for home vaping, which is where I am 90% of the time and use my eGo's for when I'm out and about. Which will really save the batts on the eGo's.

So whatcha think?

I've had my SVD since early October, and it's a well made tube. All stainless, solid and rugged. Really like it. And flat tops are fine with it.

One of the nicest features it has, imo, is the ability to lock your settings so you don't accidentally change them. (And I do prefer the multi-button over the one button menus.) Just simultaneously hold the + and - buttons for about 5 seconds, the display with show LOC, and repeat to unlock.

What caffeine prohibition? LOL. It says "hot drinks"-- all debatable. If you use the "hot drinks" analogy, vaping with nic is OK, just like caffeine is OK.

No-- I am not Mormon, but lived among them for many years.

As I understand it, you can use the button or flat tops. But if the tubes was slightly short, you could have a problem with buttons. But as I see it, if it was slightly long, you have a problem with connectivity too, so 6 of 1, etc etc.

I was looking at mech mods and decided I was no where NEAR that point yet and read that you really should be making your own coils before you get those. Don't know how true that is, but I'm not to the point of making my own yet, but do plan to in the future cause that's just me, I'm a 'scratch' kinda girl. Not much for premade anything usually. For now, all my clearos use the same heads, so it's convenient to buy the premade ones ATM. That and the fact that I know nothing about VV/VW. I have a lot to learn before I'm ready to go 'scratch' on my vape stuff. I DIY my juice, that's as far as I've gotten and it's still far from perfect.

The times I have gotten burned with an accidental change from 3W to 15W on my Vamo makes that a great plus.

To which I would have to ask define slow ;)

I run 1.8-2 ohm micro coils quite frequently and have never noticed a difference. BUT I also use 30 gauge wire not the heavier 26-28 gauge many prefer.

I personally thought the petition was brilliant, and was just the sort of thing I was thinking of, when I said something about it in that other thread (and immediately got shot down, but that's neither here nor there). I've voted Dem for many years, in plain self-defense, and I would definitely start looking at other candidates, if the ones they put on the Dem ticket are spouting uninformed crap about e-cigs and vaping. I used to just abstain, figuring I knew nothing about politics, but I've since come to find that the people IN politics know nothing about those who vote for them, so I guess that makes us even, and gives me a place to start; now I holler and rant on my facebook page about every political cause I support -- no one may ever read it, but it sure lets me vent beautifully, to hit "like" for the stuff I support, and hit "tweet" about 'em too! I figure somebody somewhere is counting all those likes and tweets.

What do you want the t-shirts to look like? I design websites, but that means just a little graphic design, too. If you have definite ideas about what should be on them, let me know, and I'll play around with it in Photoshop -- anything that helps to educate the public against all the BS the media, BT, BP, and the gov't is spouting about e-cigs and vaping, I'm all for it, and hey, I'm "self-employed" (housewife who designs templates!), I got nothing much better to do. :D

I really enjoy my SVD. It's easy to hold and use and has been trouble free for the most part. I also purchased a MVP which I think I like a bit more. It doesn't have a replaceable battery but it does last a long time. Either way, I think you'll like the SVD. Massdrop has a MVP going now for around $37

Deal ..

2,000mAh Battery and Charger Combo Pack for $14.99. Coupon code "MLCKR10XNL1" drops it to $9.99, free shipping, includes two 2,000mAh 18650 Lithium-ion batteries.

Merax 18650 Rechargeable Li-Ion/Li-ion Battery And Charger Combo

I don't think I'd use unbranded batts in a PV.

Mike, I'm curious about the Nextel XC-116...is the flavor that much better than the sterile cotton. Had to try the sterile cotton and it does clear up faster than the organic (boiled). :) Thanks!

I don't pick-up any tastes even from the git-go w/ the Nextel. i'm running it in a Russian and a Taifun and like it. I'm considering trying it next in one of my DIDs or ZAPs. It may become my 'next' favorite wick. And when I've asked Janet how it tastes w/ a fresh setup - she said the taste was good and didn't notice any off-flavor either.

hmmm Dancing - I haven't heard of that - I'll go check what they have to say. I'm running a 1.6Ω micro coil and it's vaping just as good as my other one at 1.1Ωs. i've never had one up around 2Ωs so I can't say anything about that from experience.

I'm not a sub-Ωer - so 'slow' to heat up may be relative to what they are looking for.

After reading that other thread I'll come back here with what I think (FWIW).

Ya know, the only thing I don't like about the MVP is that it is disposable. Can't think of the name, but there is one similar that takes replaceable batts, that I have considered, but they are almost twice the cost and much heavier from what I understand. I like the 'box' but being frugal, I would hate to have to toss it because the battery will no longer take a charge. But that's just me, I hate the idea of tossing my eGo's for the same reason. That and I really want something that I will be able to continue to use, should 'they' decide to make it illegal. All I'll need is batteries that I'll still be able to get. It may sound paranoid to some of you, but quitting analogs means a lot to me and I don't want to risk the chance of not being able to vape. Which is why I do plan to learn to rebuild and getting a mech mod or 2. If I have all I need and the only thing I have to buy is batteries, I'll feel much safer in my 'quit'.

Me again - I think that person is 'blowing vape' with his statement. He said anything over 1.5 will be too slow. Right off I can tell you I'm doing 1.6-1.7Ωs and I have no lag time that I can notice.

Also a couple posts before the one you linked to, had a link to another thread in the REO forum talking about how many wraps for how many ohms. Lot's of posts in/around 1.8Ω - so I'm assuming all those folks are happy with 'em

And this one took top prize for top ohms. Says his favorite build is 3.2Ωs, with clouds of vape and good taste.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/446263-micro-coils-ohms-description-11.html#post10341319

I'd say go for a 1.8-2.0Ω build and you'll likely be OK. If not what did you lose, 10 cents of wire and a bit of time. You could also go to the thread I linked to and ask them how they like there micro-coils in running 1.5 to 2.0Ωs.
