Vapemail:

1: 5-pack of wide-bore short drip tips from fasttech, finally. The fit is loose in my nautilus. But, it fits quite reasonably well in:

2: The angled drip tip adapter from MadVapes, and the drip dip adapter fits reasonably well into my Nautilus. I wouldn't mind if both the drip tips and the drip tip adapter were tighter fits.

3: A 20W black chrome Vamo from fasttech, which I ordered more than 2 weeks after the drip tips. Looks good, works fine.

Matt and Mike, I'll get one of those drip tips out to you in the mail soon, hopefully tomorrow.

Yikes how much if you don't mind me asking the PV3 I mean
To much!
$280:ohmy: a very weak moment!
But then the Dragon I got was $215 as a "Blem" from Provape so............ Not that bad considering the upgrades the P3 comes with! And the extra extension rings. There $20 a piece. It's basicly a mini and come with two rings to make it fit all the battery's. So I guess it a $240 mini.

Dave...Get a 5ml Nautilus with 1.8Ω BVC's...dial your iStick up to 10-12 Watts...and you'll literally (oops, I mean figuratively) be in Vaping Heaven. :headbang:

Well, it does do a fine job on a KF, 2 Ω 30 with rayon wick :)

But there've been lots of concerns voiced about the low end, so I've been trying it mostly with clearo / flavor combos I know burn easily. So far, no complaints. :vapor:

Dave - Janet and I are using iSticks w/ 1.8Ω BDC Aspire and it's good for me from 3-3.5volts. And, Janet's 'stick' is topped w/ a Vivi Nova using a 1.8Ω head @3.1 volts and she likes it - and doesn't like a warm vape at all.

Nice to hear. My iStick came but don't get to see it for another week and a half. Sounds like you two are vaping around where I like it, maybe a tad higher. From what I was hearing I'm a tad concerned about putting on the Davide with a 1.8 and having it go up like today's rocket launch. I really have high hopes for the iStick. I have to do a lot of walking right now for medical reasons, plus it's not a bad thing to do, and the ProVari is just getting to be a bit much (and cold as the weather turns, and the Spinner too long and awkward. Whine, whine whine...

I was wondering if anyone was still using Vivi Novas. I was using one when I got my first kayfun. Never looked back. Have they done any improving to the coils and heads? Might want to retry them?

So far, with "delicate" flavors, I've had Davide's, T3S and Unitanks on the stick, all in the 1.8 - 2.2 range, running 5 - 7 watts depending. The Davide has an airflow base, and works really well. Personally, I still like the T3S, and it's a really good vape on the stick. Works well with their adapter, which I've chosen to leave on all the time as a thread / connection protector. The Uni's primary advantage is the top fill, can't put the airflow base on it, and it's OK on the stick, but suffers from low air flow - so it gets the lower settings, and still does well.

And a KF with a more robust flavor. :)

I love my iStick. It's what a Twist or Spinner SHOULD be. Now, I wish I hadn't bought those Twists that were on sale about 6 months ago. They're so ridiculously long!

But, I shouldn't complain. They do the job.

Maybe I'll sell some of them back to my brother when he gets low in a few months. He's such a stick in the mud. He won't use anything but a genuine Joyetech Twist with a Cisco 306, period. He found what works and will not try anything else.

Hmmm, maybe I could learn a lesson from him.

Thanks for posting guys, I've been thinking about getting an Istick but keep holding back because some people say they're not that great at lower watt vaping. Sounds like that hasn't been a problem for you guys. I'm figgerin' I can throw an air control ring on my clearo and open it up full tilt if the vape is a little too stout for me. I'm not a box mod fan but I do like the look of the stick, especially that pink one. Think I may have to pull the trigger.

What type of ohm meter? Is it one of those little boxes you screw the topper into to check Ωs. If yes, have you been using the Naut for while. If yes, it just might be approaching the time to replace the head. The heads will increase in Ωs as the get used and crude builds up on the coil.

Throw that dang little screw driver away and get a decent one that fits the head of the screws better. You'll have less grief and less chance of buggering up the screw heads. IMO those little screw drivers that come with KFLs & Russians are 'cute' but worthless.

If you do wrap the wire leads clockwise around the screw, then tighten down slowly and carefully because you will 'pull' the coil into/toward the screw when as the wire will want to wrap around the screw. Sometimes you have to 'kinda' hold the coil in place and slowly tighten down on the screw. You can also try wrapping the wire counter-clockwise around the screw then tighten down to avoid pulling the coil into the screw.

Its a Sigelei USB Powered Ohm Meter you screw the atomiser onto it and gives you a reading.
Yes I'll get another screwdriver.
Thanks for that counter clockwise sounds better.

I agree the Spinners do their job. They are ridiculously long, work well during a blackout. They are fine around the house, no complaints there. Caught myself in a mirror in Portland and it looked like a, "Are you happy to see me or..." Not so good for a woman. If the iStick works as well as the Spinners, I'll be very happy. If it works better, that's wonderful.

I was really happy with my egos and Davides for a year, didn't even want to try anything else. Ah, the good old days. Then I got mod.

Still waiting on my dna30 mod clone and batteries.
So before even building a single coil I'll ask for sometime in the future that may not ever happen.
The rebuildable tanks with three posts that you can build dual coils on , can you also build single coils on them ?

More wondering than thinking of ever doing.

Matt - she's using the Aspire bottom coil Vivi Nova's, not the Vision top coil Vivi Nova's. Hated when Aspire came out w/ theirs and used the same name.

Yes. However, if you would rather not fuss with dual coils, it is better to get Orchids (with four posts), or those that are set up for single coils. Twisted kanthal gives you the same effect (I think) with less fuss.

To use an Orchid (and they are inexpensive from FT) as a single coil, you will need to plug both inside and outside of the extra air-hole, but still put wicking in all four channels.

Probably look about the same so they traded on the name. "Looks the same only vapes better" kind of marketing thing I'll bet.

Twisted kanthal gives you the same resistance and dual coils, but doesn't spread it over as much surface area of wick. I would expect that you could run the dual coil at a higher wattage on your regulated device and produce more vapor at the same temperature with a dual coil.

You can try it either way, but for me the important part is that the wire pulls in to the screw when you wrap it clockwise, which makes it easy to trap the wire and tighten the screw down. When you wrap it counterclockwise, it has a tendency to pop out when you tighten the screw down. These screws are so tiny and the build area is so small, and my eyes aren't that great up close anymore, so I need all the help I can get. Plus, if the coil shifts around a bit after I tighten the screw, I just re-position it (which I would do anyway to clean the build up).

You know something else I have learned about the EH Pro Kayfun Lite plus V2, If you loosen the air screws too far below the flush point on the bottom they will not make contact with the PV or MVP2. And if you remove them completly from the deck during cleaning like I do they are made of aluminum or something so my magnetic screwdriver I use to put them back in does not work like it does with the original. Just some small flaws I have found with them. I wish I could line up the center pin screw but not possible on the one I have without chancing breakage or having a loose positive block. Another thing I learned is if you line the positive block back up and hold it with a pair of pliers you can hold it in the right spot holding it with the pliers touching the pos and neg blocks at the same time. Easy Peasey. Also I didn't mention that even with these flaws I am really happy with it especially since you can buy 4 for the price of 1 original at Fluid Vapes. Where can you get the Orchid besides FT
