Is there room for one more chair on the new porch?

Mostly a lurker on ECF. vaping since last July 4th and as of now no "analogs" for 4 months ( I really should have taken note of when).
Smoked a PAD for 35 years. I've been lucky in that I haven't been biten by the "Oooooh a shiney! afliction. Currently using a K101 Mech mod with a Magoo or an RSST or a clone rda. I swap units for flavor/technique changes. Still carry my starter with a BCC tank - it has some Halo Tribecca that I taste a couple times a day.

You may now resume your regular programming while I answer the rotary phone. <grin>

Hi folks, got room for one more on the porch? I'm not picky, a seat on the steps is fine with me. I've been reading through some of the posts here and I think ya'll are my kinda people. A little about me; I'm a fifty something housewife, been married 31 years to a wonderful 'ol fart who can still make me laugh at least once a day. I smoked for 38 years before starting vaping about 5 months ago. I've learned everything I know from PBusardo and the folks here at ECF. (Wish I would've found this place first, lol.) I don't personally know anyone else who vapes and the local vape shop is full of those young whippersnappers who are more interested in creating a storm front with vape clouds than getting the best flavor from their juice. I felt like Rodney Dangerfield in there, * no respect* lol. Anyhoo, I'd love to sit and "chew the juice" if ya'all will have me.:)

When you-all leave your house, what do you take with you? I always take a minimum of 3 batteries with 3 different flavours in the tanks/cartos on them and one charger. Is that normal? When I do happen to run into another vaopr they only seem to have one setup on them... or maybe I'm just paranoid of hitting a problem and facing having to go without nic or buy a pack of smokes.... maybe it's a "new-vapor" anxiety thing I will eventually overcome????

Here's a CE4+ that I rebuilt with 3mm ekowool and 5 wraps of 32ga Kanthal A1.

Good morning everyone. Hope you are all doing well and glad to see you are on the right side of the dirt. ;-)

Supposed to have some nasty weather roll in today. 5-7 inches of snow and high winds. I heard that and my first thought: " do I have enough cigarettes for 3 or 4 days ?" Then I remembered I don't smoke any more ! Talk about something sinking in....WOW!!! First, it was how nice it was to know I shouldn't have to get out in that mess. 2nd was how cigarettes ruled my life for so many years. Last was what a major lifestyle change vaping is and how easy it was. This really made my day. I'm so glad to have found this forum and all you folks.

Life is good.

Wow. Are you folks the sort that rushes out to buy an extra gallon of milk and a loaf or two of bread every time it's supposed to snow the next day too? I leave with a fully charged eGo 900 battery and a filled ProTank mini or BCC clearomizer. If I'm doing a grab and dash because I'm running late I'll grab a 2nd battery because that's faster than making sure the one I have is charged. I'm like my 18650 devices and big tanks at home but just can't see actually using those monsters in public.

Hope I did t miss any new people.

For you (don't want to say nooby) going on a shopping spree at Mt.Baker.
don't forget to put ... vaporfrombaker ... in the code box for your discount.
It's not a special, it always works, and if you spend more than $25, you'll get a free 15ml bottle.
Also, if you have a flavor you would like to try for free, ask for it in the comment box.
Sometimes you'll get it (or something they are testing the buyers on anyway)
Have fun shopp'in

wow...thanx Slots!..didn't know about this...haven't placed my order yet so I'll follow this through and see what happens...incidentally, apart from my Tobacco flavors I picked any others you might recommend?...muchisimas gracias!!!

Oh no! Don't be embarassed! You're just ready for anything! AND you make me think that maybe Mike is actually more normal than I thought! Of course he laughs at me because he walks around the house with just 1 pv in his hand and I usually have 1 in my hand and 2 in my pockets. HA! AH!

When I got divorced my husband gave me 5k to quit-claim the house to him. I called the IRS to see if I had to claim the 5k as income. The fellow asked me if it was payment for a service and I said for a second time "no, it was to quit-claim the house". And he says AGAIN "but was there any service involved" so finally I just said "sir, I serviced that man for 11 years; however, he's never paid me for it" (Seriously, it's true, lol)

OMGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LMAO!!!..you made me not only laugh soooo hard you made my day.....

in all seriousness though, My tax issue was the least of it. I have also finally made peace with my student loans(US Dept of Treasury) and instead of calling them ready to spew out as much profanity as possible, I decided that "doing the right thing" may be my way out. That's not to mention the Child Support of 700 monthly deducted from me,all the while my ex-wife making close to four figures monthly with a daughter that only listens to her mothers poison. At this stage of my life I had to tie all strings and leave it behind me. You can only tolerate stupidity and nonsense for just so long.

So with all of the above, I found that the true answer to some of life's problems or, better yet, "situations" is to simply "communicate" with everyone, not just your family and friends but also those who oppose you as well.

As I vape I am thinking how this little piece of technology can alter the way someone thinks and feels, without any verbal communication. The best form of communicating is the one that remains silent yet performs in the background. Vaping is a strange paradox but one that, if only for a few moments in your life, brings a sense of completion.

One book I found which I hated at the time it was given to me title "True Love - A Practice for Awakening the Heart" by Thich Nhat Hanh.

There was something in that book that caught my attention, told through a short parable about love and loss...it's about Buddhists teachings but the story is quite universal. A solider returns from the war to his wife and child. The child does not acknowledge the father but instead tells him that his real father are the shadows that visit him in the night told by his mother. The father takes this to heart and walks away leaving his wife and kid behind again. Later on, the wife too is heartbroken and kills herself in the river while the father too dies...all that could have been avoided by simply communicating the problem to each other and avoiding the whole drama.

Love is when you are driving on a two-lane highway at top speed, but slow down to meet the other driver on the opposite road. the crossroads is where we can find some semblance of peace....and so...I am attempting to communicate. what it will bring I have no idea, but I try each day.

ok...now back to laughing at that most funniest post I have ever read................

So I was talking to someone on another forum site about things we've accomplished that we're proud of in 2013. Naturally mine was quitting smoking. They asked me how I did it and I told them about vaping. The person then says "Oh, you mean an electronic cigarette. Well then you really didn't quit smoking."

*sigh*

With the combination of stupidity and attitude, I really wouldn't even know where to start to respond. So, I tend to just give up, mumble '.....' to myself, and walk off.

ETA: They censored my post! The word had the Spanish word for 'gold' in the middle, started with an 'm', and ended with an 'n'.

I just put in my big order for menthol juice but dangit MBV was out of my cucumber mojito.

Sniffle.... :(

Cucumber Mojito?!!!!

amazing!!...here in Miami the Cuban culture thrives on such flavors each day. I have the plain "Mojito" Ejuice right now which is not too shabby. I love cucumber sandwiches(lived in the UK during the 80-'s and that was a big thing...also fish and chips with vinegar).

Gonna look up Cucumber Mojito right now1 thanx

Good I'm no longer working. I'd be like you folks. Probably have to leave my laptop at home 'cause my laptop case would be filled w/ vaping gear. If I 'leave' the neighborhood I usually have at least 3 days of vaping supplies w/ me. Can't get past the 'what happens if my car breaks down and I have to stay over somplace' - I can't just go to the corner store for another pack or 3, so I'd better have plenty of PV's, batts and juice to last a few days where ever I am.

Too bad neither of you got the sample I got from Mt Baker, cucumber mint. I detest cucumbers and hate peppermint :(

I've been letting it steep (going on 2 weeks now) since a few folks on the Baker thread claimed it was really delish if steeped for a bit. Figure I'll be giving it away but I'll at least give it a fair try first.

Maybe you should have asked, "what do you mean?" They obviously don't know anything about vaping and it would be interesting to know why they would think what they do. Could be a teaching moment. No need to be confrontational, in fact that would be bad, but it just might make them question what they think they know.

How could those 3 letters be offensive? (I just googled the Spanish word for gold) Uh oh, is this one of those moments one of my kids would roll their eyes and me and say "oh Mom!"?

Geeze, this place is really hoppin! We were busy with 8" of snow and baking cookies today and several pages got writ whilst I wasn't looking!!

Actually I did somewhat explain vaping and that's the reply I got. I figured I would be wasting my time trying to convince someone who wasn't interested anyway.
