Oh man, I come here for info and also relaxation... and I find all that @$%#$ about the government being idiots, as per usual.

:-x :-x :-x

Now where did I put my soapbox...

I've decided to start a quit-smoking blog. Just in the getting-content-together stage right now. Figure it's better to go ahead and get it started, because I still have all my vape and e-cig receipts in email. Eventually I'll file-13 'em, but for now, they're all still there.

And the only good spin I can put on any of that taxation crap.... I guess it's *somewhat* better to tax them, than to try and completely ban them. If only BT would get on the bandwagon for that "other stuff".....

Wildman, your comment about "that other protest about taxation without representation" is EXTREMELY well taken.... if only there was the Atlantic ocean between us and the idjits trying to tax us this time....

Unfortunately they won't stop with just taxing the devices, they'll tax e liquid too. NJ is looking to propose a tax on e liquid that could potentially push the price of a 30 ml bottle of juice to about $100.00 in that state. I won't be surprised if the availability of straight nic base to the general public will be severely restricted and heavily taxed too. It's just a matter of time.

Greetings.

Pack a day smoker smoking Marlboro Red for about 25 years of my life. Tried quitting at least ten time using anything and everything available from xantex, the patch, the gums, dip, pouches, and even a cig looking ecig by GreenSmoke.

About two months ago, still heavy smoking, i noticed two health symptoms that i never had before. First, a heart thing that i felt that seemed like either a murmer or a irregular beat. Something that i noticed that made me sit back from whatever i was doing to make sure i wasnt having a heart attack or something. Second, i had one bout of shortness of breath. The day i had the breathing problem, i went straight to the hospital. While driving myself to the hospital, i was thinking to myself, gonna get everything checked out and if there are no signs of illness, whether to my heart or lungs, i would give up my nasty habit of smoking. Long story shorter, after about two weeks of hospital tests, testing everything from my blood, ekg, to my heart, to a heart stress test, to a lung xray, to finally a lung stress test, everything thankfully checcked out normal or as normal as it could be after 25 years of smoking. What did i do continue to do during those two weeks? I continued to smoke and kept smoking after those two weeks when i got the hospital ok.

Pretty sad how much smoking had taken over my life.

I am married with a beautiful wife, and have two beautiful girls, ages 7 and 3. I am 43 years of age and want to grow old with my wife and see my kids grow up and get married and yadda yadda. I don't want my family to see me go out early because of smoking...

Thankfully a couple friends turned me onto vaping. Been smoke free as of February 26, 2014. Its only been about 10 days smoke free, but with each passing day, its become easier and easier. I havent had the heart symptom or shortness of breath since.

I thank my friends that turned me onto vaping, these forums and members showing their support and sharing their stories, and vaping, for hopefully saving my life.

Yay, you and welcome to the best porch evah!

You know, as I've mentioned, so far I haven't seen a single thing about any of this kind of tripe here in GA. Wouldn't it be weird if GA's push to be "first in business" ended up with ALL the e-juice makers/sellers down here?? Maybe that's what they're hoping for?

If anything like that happens, I foresee GA's population enjoying/suffering a boom like nothing since the carpetbaggers. :D

Last year, I "put away" in my freezer, 6000ml of nic solution .. at my age, it's more than a lifetime supply ..

However, if what you say comes to pass, I could be tempted to capitalize

I think Missouri currently has the lowest state cigarette tax in the nation, 17¢ a pack I think it is. Right now it looks like e cigarette and e lquid taxes are not on the immediate state agenda here. Am I counting on it to stay that way? Let's just say that my first bottle of nic base should be delivered today, and I have been narrowing my choices on which mech mod to order.

Thus spoke, the doomsayer departs.....:D

You are within easy driving distance from me there Unc, and being as we're practically neighbors and all, I would hope that might translate into a bit of a discount....:D

Looks like I need to dispose of the ancient green beans in the bottom of my freezer, to make room for plenty of nicotine. Just because they're not doing anything here YET about vaping, doesn't mean they won't... when they quit squabbling over the $5000 tax credit for electric cars. And figure out that Obamacare is here to stay whether they like it or not.

I'm pretty sure a lot of the reason I'm so impatient is being raised here amongst all these sloooooooooooow people...

Thx ALL Y'ALL for that tip about wizard labs.... just checked and hey, I thought high desert vapes was cheap on nicotine... they're just selling wiz lab stuff and making a small profit. Much better to go straight to wiz labs!!! Also love their prices on the luer lock stuff.

Surrounded by cows and wheat
The last 2 hobbies I have seriously gotten involved with- shooting/reloading and vaping- have both suffered from gubment involvement. After our fearless leader was elected the first time, primers vanished. They had just began coming around, and he was r-elected. Primers and powder both vanished again. Primers are showing back up, but powder is still real scarce. Glad I stocked up after the first drought. Now, vaping is under attack ! Time to stash stuff away, again.....

My next hobby is going to be politics, maybe those dolts will start disappearing like powder, primers and vape stuff has....

Since I mentioned I'm starting a quit-smoking blog, and because I posted that earlier pic... you can see how my new "hobby" is taking on a life of its own... Pretty soon I really will need a 2nd kitchen!!

No need for a second kitchen, just do what I did and toss out all the pot and pans, lots of room in the cupboards now.

I'm not sure about the cost difference, but ecigexpress has free shipping till the end of march, which is great for heavy stuff like nic & vg
