For some reason I don't have permission to go there. I am not a verified member. Too much hassle.

Sent while presently sitting on my .... watching mind numbing prattle on the TV. 257 Channels and nothing on.

What the easiest way to become a verified member. Becoming a master mason was easier.

If you already have a paypal account, it's pretty easy. Just go here:
ECF Verification via PayPal
and fill out the form. It takes a few days for ECF to do the paperwork to approve you, but it was easy for me.

The easiest way is if you have a verified Paypal account. If you don't have a Paypal account or if your Paypal account is not verified, that method of becoming verified on the e-cigarette forum is not available. There are two other requirements for using the Paypal method. One is that your verified Paypal email address is the same as the email address with which you signed up for the e-cigarette forum. The other is that you have a minimum of 20 posts.

Here is where you can find all the information regarding how to become a master mason how to become a verified member of this forum: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/announcements-news/283955-how-become-verified-member.html

I don't have a PayPal account and don't really want one. Now what?

Not to be short with you, Matt, but I would only be repeating the information that's already at http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/announcements-news/283955-how-become-verified-member.html There are about 6 methods listed, with the next easiest after Paypal being the Ebay method, if you happen to have an Ebay account and meet the requirements.

Two things, though.

First:
my personal opinion is that I've gained little or nothing from being a verified member. I've only used my verified status on two occasions. One of those was a much-troubled co-op that, by the time the goods were finally delivered, the goods could be purchased cheaper from dealers in the US. The second time, I listed some e-juice in the classifieds and got no responses. But that's just my personal view. There are people who regularly participate in co-ops (like Mike, f'rinstance). Verified status is required to participate in co-ops, or even to view them. (My one co-op experience was enough to make me swear off of them.)

Second:
If you want to become verified through the "vouch" method, I would be more than happy to be one of the three verified members who you choose to vouch for you.

OK people, Mike and I have had our isticks for 24 hours and so far we're hooked! I got the pink/red (looks pink to me) and Mike got the black. They're so cute! They fit easily in the hand with no sharp edges. Being flat on on side and rounded on the other it's easy to find the button and it's very easy to push. They run hot though so I'm vaping mine at 3-3.1v. I think the fruit juices don't like lots of heat. I'm using an Aspire bdc on mine which looks to be a bit big on the istick, but I really don't care. The nice thing is that it's small enough to carry in my pocket or purse, but it has an 18650 battery so it's lasts awhile when I'm out. We got them in a co-op so it's cheap enough for an out and about in case something happens. I'd rather take this little one instead of my pthingy. I'd rather have a rig where I can replace the battery, but for the price I figure it's got to last a year or more so I'm not worried. Hopefully the next istick will improve the voltage problem. Meanwhile, I'm a happy camper.

Thank you very much. Let you know. Your evaluation of the benefits makes it much lower on the priorities list (something like a bucket list but, much less important). :D

I'd vouch for you too, as long as it doesn't involve co-signing any loans, getting on a list of known accomplices, or helping you move any bodies :)

I have yet to do anything useful with my "verified" status. Vouching for you would be the first thing. I did buy something from someone on here though, and the fact that he was verified helped me feel more secure.

Yes, let's meet next time! It's probably just as well that we didn't try to schedule anything this time around, because I just started teaching full time after being a part-timer for the last few years, and they've been keeping me hopping. I'm teaching two courses that I've never taught before, and I've been trying to keep ahead of my students week-by-week. Hopefully, next time you drop through Portland, I'll actually know what I'm doing :)

I wouldn't say vaping is all that common around here, but it's not exactly rare either. There are usually one or two vapers at the designated smoking area every time I take a vape break at PCC, so I'm surprised you got much of a reaction. Maybe they never saw a flamingo wearing a tutu before. Though, in Portland, that doesn't sound too unusual either :)

You should like Rose City Vapesters. The owner, Elton, seems like a decent guy who genuinely cares about his customers succeeding at stopping smoking, unlike many of the shops around here where they seem mostly interested in how big a cloud they can blow (like that video of Elements you posted a while back).

I think the guy did say his name was Elton. He was helping three "kids" (20ish) when we went in. Slightly foggy in there, lol, but they were taken with a new flavor and nothing obnoxious (talking about the 'kids"). It was pretty cool and the polar opposite of my only previous trip to a vape shop. The place, and it's corny to say, had a good vibe about it.

He introduced himself and shook our hands. He whipped up the juice in, no kidding, less time than it takes me to top load VG in a syringe. It was embarrassing. Man I wish I had his setup for DIY. And the 0mg seems to be doing the trick. Phew! He seemed genuinely pleased when told him someone on ECF recommended I go to his shop.

Congratulations on moving up on the college pecking order! :toast: My father was a professor too. I know it ain't always easy. Definitely get together next time then. I hope that will be next April, if not sooner. Too tired to say more right now but thank you for the recommendation and direction.
