Anyone using one of these kayfun light+ whats it like with coil diameters.
Taking a look at the coil wrapping engine some coils I'm looking to do with the wire i got , well they work out for diameters of 2mm - 3mm.
Are those diameters good for the kayfun light + ?
Is a bigger diameter possible ?
I went for 26 gauge wire after going through a few options on the wrapping engine it seems the most comfortable for what I would like to build.

Though not sure on leg length total - Total length of the resistance wires between coil and contact points.
Is that the length of the wire from one post to the next ? Is it measure when the wire is straight or coiled ?
Is it measuring the wire from one post to where the first wrap in the coil is ?
seems to change things when you change its number on the wrapping engine.
Use this one called steam engine.
Don't have the atomiser yet so don't know the lengths.

Thank you very much! The top hardware is EXTRAORDINARILY well-hidden on the Aspire website and I would never have found it without the help.

Even though the shipping is more than twice the cost of the top, I was able to get a top and a silicone seal for $11.32, shipping included.

To display a link, go to the page of the link you want to display. and right-click inside the address window. Select "copy" from the drop-down menu. Then left-click inside your Forum post where you want the link to appear, right-click again, and select "paste". The link will be highlighted when you send your post. This will work even if you close the window of the link you're displaying after you "copy" the address.

Here's the link: Aspire Nautilus accessories

With my Nautilus out of commission for the time being, I'm stove-piping an Innokin i30s and enjoying it very much. I don't have to stove-pipe it but I'm preferring to do so.

Also, in the process of diagnosing my Nautilus, I managed to lose the 510 connection post on the floor somewhere here within a few feet of me. (I pushed it out from the inside, using a small screwdriver). I'm assuming that I'll find it, and also assuming that I'll figure out how to re-install it in the Nautilus, which is what I was trying to do when it jumped to the floor.
Bigbells,Thanks so much for the information on how to display a link.I wanted to leave a feedback score in the classifieds and was having trouble doing it.I did what you said and it worked perfectly.Thank you.

1.5, 2.0, & 2.5mm (1/16", 5/64", 3/32") are probably the most common sizes for Kayfun coils. And yes, the leg length is; the length of the wire from the coil wrap to the post.

3mm seems a little big but I vape 2mm coils as my regular vape and they seem to do great. Using rayon and haven't had a dry hit in ages.

I like my kayfuns so much that I haven't been paying attention to what's new. Anything similar I should be paying attention to? No new Kayfun killers?

Mike I have this enroute...it's taking it's sweet time but once received I will let you know how it goes. Looks like it will be nice for the Istick.

Yepper - it's on my radar for the iStick and/or my 20mm mech mods as it's slightly thinner than KFL's/Russians91's.

Hi Wolfenstark,

26ga is a little on the thick side for a Kayfun, but it should work OK. When you're using Steam Engine, use around 10mm for the total leg length. It's not really that crucial to get an exact number, because small differences in resistance won't make a huge difference in the vaping experience, and also you're not entirely sure at this point what you're going to like the most. Usually, I'd shoot for around 1.5 Ohms to start. However, with 26ga, that's around 14 wraps at 2mm. That's a pretty large coil. It will definitely fit, and it should produce a fair amount of vapor, but it will take a long time for the coil to heat up. I think I'd start with 11 wraps at 2mm, which would work out to around 1.2 Ohms. It also depends a little on your power source. What kind of battery/mod will you be using? Is it a mech mod, or does it have variable voltage/variable wattage, and if so, do you know the limits?

I'm thinking of maybe a dedicated combination of the Nautilus with an Istick would work.

Like da way ya think!

Adding to the pot... :)

I wind my KFs to 2 mm, although bigger would work. There's a fair amount of room inside the concentrator cup. But not sure if bigger than 3 mm would give adequate clearance. Although I tend to 30, sometimes 28. I like the way 30 heats and cools quicker than the bigger wire. Might be good to get a little of a couple gauges and see which "action" you prefer.

Mike already got the length in question, from the end of the coil to the screw.

It's VERY important to take it apart and thoroughly wash all parts before use. (Although you don't need to unscrew / remove the positive terminal block. But if you do, make sure when you put it back that it doesn't turn and contact the negative block. That will produce a dead short.) There's usually machining oils left, and they taste really bad!

Hi PapaSloth , Yes I was doing the sums in the website and seemed to be the 26 would suit most needs well that being resistance target. Other names like heat flux and leg power loss started to climb when I changed gauges but sticking to the resistance and diameter.
Was hoping to try and work around 2 - 3 mm diameter.

I am waiting for one of these provari p3 to come out - Well actually an Australian site has a preorder $285 our money about $248 USA. They say ships from USA November 7 then it has to get to east coast Australia and then they send it out. Im going to wait and see what its selling for in the USA first.

Anyway I just noticed this today but the other day I thought ok If Im buying one of those then In the meantime I'll get a clone mod .
So i ordered a hana Dna30 mod clone by cloupor said updated chip , reviews vary but mostly good. Box mod that holds one 18650 battery and said to go to 30watts.
I ordered some aw 18650 2000mah batteries.

Trying to research 50 things at once or feels like it. Only have the pictures of the Kayfun clone to look at currently.
Yes can see two blocks , so don't let them touch and wash before use. Thanks

Just ordered two of the "dead" DNA30 Hana mod enclosures from Elev8 Vape. At 5 bucks each I couldn't pass em up. The chip may be dead but the enclosure, battery tray, switches and 510 connectors add up to considerably more than that. I ordered a red one and a silver one. If nothing else all you really have to do is slide a DNA40 in and you've got the latest and greatest. If anybody wants one I recommend you go fast cause they are going quick.

May be a good idea to protect/conserve the iSticks 510 threading. Some folks are just unscrewing the tank portion of their topper to do the refill w/o unscrewing it from the iSticks 510 connector. Depending on your topper you just have to hold the 'stick' upside down when unscrewing the tank.

Thanks MikeE3 , MattB101. DavidOck

Just about any of the quality 18650 batts will do fine as long as you don't go sub-ohm. If you do make sub-ohm coils, make sure you batt has a good amp rating so it won't give you any problems.

hmmmm? May have to go look into them, I've got 2 DNA30's and no box for them.
