I agree! I really had no idea how small some of this stuff was before it began arriving in the mail.

It has 1.8 bvc in it and the meter says its 2.2.

With your meter in Ω mode, take your two meter leads and put the tips together. This will measure your test leads' resistance. Subtract that value from your coil reading.

My leads are .2Ω.

I did the same thing when I found Kayfuns. Ended up with 2 KFL+ and 3 R91%s. Now 2 Taifuns and the KFs sit empty. I did pass on one of the R91s to a friend that's fairly new to vaping though.

Try not to overtighten the screws on your posts. If you strip them out, things get very unpleasant. Just tighten them down until the wire is fully secured (it helps if you can wrap the end of the wire most of the way around the screw before tightening, and if you wrap it in the direction the screw tightens).

Trying to loosen them but yeah takes some effort before i stop and think hmm shouldn't take this much effort or maybe I'm being too gentle.

Got the screw on the negative block to finally loosen , both screws are ok.
Positive and negative block sure are close, looks to be less than a mm apart.

Yes, those EHPro devices tend to come from the factory assembled TIGHT. I'm glad you were able to get the screws loosened without any damage.

Not only are the positive block and the negative post close together, but both are really close to the evaporation chamber tube when it's screwed on, and the top chimney is close to the coil as well. Be sure to check your build on the Ohm meter after screwing both parts on, before firing, in case something is shorting out, because it's easy to do (I know this from personal experience ).

I find it a lot more comfortable to hold than my antique MVP1, which, after 1 1/2 years isn't holding a charge as long as it did when new

Works well, no issues. (Since I have the most frequent problems burning them in my PT and Davide minis, I'll have to load one of them up for a real test... but darn it, they just don't hold enough!)

Really enjoying my iSticks/BVCs! Think I'll get a blue one next fer my DIY blueberry.

Dave...Get a 5ml Nautilus with 1.8Ω BVC's...dial your iStick up to 10-12 Watts...and you'll literally (oops, I mean figuratively) be in Vaping Heaven.

It might go a little higher as the oxidation layer on the Kanthal forms thoroughly, but it should remain about the same. If you're seeing big swings downward, you likely have a short, and if you see big swings upward, you probably have a loose connection to your post screw.



The bottom middle screw (510 connector screw) attaches to the center block in your Kayfun and is the only thing holding it on. When you turn that screw, the center block will either loosen, or turn. If it turns, it can easily touch another part of the evaporation chamber or the negative post, causing a short, so that's BAD. You want to tighten that screw with the center block held in place, so it's very snug. If you overtighten it too hard, you can actually snap the screw, because it's hollow and your air flows through it (so don't overtighten it too much).

There's also a hole drilled across the screw where the air comes in and runs through the hollow part. If possible, this hole should line up with your two air holes so that you can see straight through the Kayfun (this only applies to the EHPro dual airhole version, which is what you have). If you can do that without undertightening or overtightening the screw, that's ideal, but it's more important that the center block is very snug and that you don't snap the center screw.

That's the problem I had with my EH Pro. Couldn't tighted it enough to see through without the possibility of breaking it and loosening to that point the positive block was loose sooo I just lined the block back up and tighted it down.

Oh I might also tell you if you have a big swing downward in your resistance and you happen to be using a PV even otherwise clean your terminals where the battery touches and where the Kayfun touches and your threads with a Qtip and alcohol. Happened to me and I thought oh crap I have to recoil thats all it was.

Haven't started a build yet still waiting on a couple of things.
Got the ohm meter delivered today and screwed on a nautilus I've been using for the last week. It has 1.8 bvc in it and the meter says its 2.2.
When I put a new coil in I will see what it says. Oh wait just occurred to me it had liquid in the tank if that can alter the reading.

What type of ohm meter? Is it one of those little boxes you screw the topper into to check Ωs. If yes, have you been using the Naut for while. If yes, it just might be approaching the time to replace the head. The heads will increase in Ωs as the get used and crude builds up on the coil.

If the ohm meter is a general purpose type w/ leads/probes. Do what Iffy said and touch the leads together to find out their resistance then subtract that from the reading on your topper.

Throw that dang little screw driver away and get a decent one that fits the head of the screws better. You'll have less grief and less chance of buggering up the screw heads. IMO those little screw drivers that come with KFLs & Russians are 'cute' but worthless.

If you do wrap the wire leads clockwise around the screw, then tighten down slowly and carefully because you will 'pull' the coil into/toward the screw when as the wire will want to wrap around the screw. Sometimes you have to 'kinda' hold the coil in place and slowly tighten down on the screw. You can also try wrapping the wire counter-clockwise around the screw then tighten down to avoid pulling the coil into the screw.
