Do I need a multimeter for that ? This one you just screw the atomiser onto it , no leads.

Was expecting that I just had to check if the coil gave a reading (which would be accurate by the meter) within the resistance i was aiming for.
Touch the two probes together on a resistance meter and it will give a reading. Subtract that from what it reads for your coils, and that is the coil resistance.
Did that make sense? I haven't gone to bed yet.

Yep, tracking like crazy, & passing it on. Suddenly, everywhere I go, the same things I was looking at are in ads. Not similar things. The exact same things.

Is the only way to stop it to buy it? What if I didn't really want it? :)

Looking for something new that I like. Watch this space for new wit, halfwit, nitwit...

Nope.

Dunno if amazon developed their own software but that's essentially a third party that a vendor could pay for and the third party tracks cookies and voila. Your visits keep showing up everywhere.

Technology is really beginning to suck.

It would have made sense if Wolf's meter had probes, but in his message that you quoted he said that his meter does not.

I did a quick search on Amazon when you first mentioned the desk mounted magnifier (what, two days ago?) And since then have gotten no less than three emails from them highlighting their various magnifyers. Don't tell me that they don't track your online usage! Jeez!

It's a little unnerving to get emails from them just after you looked at something. What I get mostly are those ads that dog me for days to weeks after you've visited a site. My husband googled toenail fungus once. Don't ever google that.

On some of those ads there is something you can click to stop seeing the ad. I think that's how I got rid of the fungus one that had dogged me off and on for months. It may just be an X box thing in the upper right corner. I seem to be off the radar at the moment so can't tell you for sure.

They are coming out with mods that look cool but are trying to tie into the tech revolution when it's not needed. Here is a example of what I am talking about. Looks small enough to satisfy the stealth vaping requirement but is worthless without a cell phone. Dumb!

 Half of ECF must be looking at it because the site is so slow I'can't load it. Sounds like a poor idea though.

ETA Got it to load. The fun part would be hacking into someone else's phone and either cranking up the volts or turning the puff counter to zero puffs.

ETA again. Some folks here might like this. Love a regular tip that did it. http://www.madvapes.com/ehpro-carburetor-drip-tip-gold.html

Re: cleaning new gear before use

I seldom do a clean-up of new equipment but decided to simply rinse my Nautilus and BVC under warm water. After rinsing, I shook out as much water as I could, assembled the Nautilus, and filled it up.

That coil assembly holds a LOT of liquid. I had to draw about 50 times at 14 watts before I started getting joose instead of water vapor. It surprised me.

What did I learn? Nothing, really. If it came down to it I'd do it again.

This is not the dumbest thing I've ever seen, but it's somewhere on the list. Even the iCig Muses lets you adjust the settings without using a bluetooth connected device, and you have to be pretty poorly thought out to get beaten out by the iCig Muses.

Sheesh! Any mod that advertises as having a way to "cut down on your vaping" has lost my interest immediately. I have no reason, medical or otherwise, to cut down.

A heads up to any of you that might be shepparding a v-vert right now. Mine got a big surprise when she ventured out to buy eliquid on her own. She will not shop online so she is limited to basically what can be got in town. Up until now she has been doing the NJoy 10 mg nic liquids. Well this time she bought the Haus (thats Mistics brand) thinking to try a new flavor and go down on nic level. Unfortunately the 2.4 on the box that she thought was 2.4 mg was actually 2.4% or 24 mg. It kinda hit her like a brick wall to the face.

It is sort of my fault. It never dawned on me she might run into that. :(

Is stealth vaping an issue ?

Is the small size the reason the istick is selling ?

Small size is not just for stealth. For most people, smaller is better if no quality is sacrificed, and the iStick packs a pretty hefty 2200 mah. I worry that it would be too small for my personal comfort but I've got very large hands. For people with average mitts it seems to be delightfully compact, capable and powerful.

Stealth vaping? The only times I've attempted to hide my vapor was when I was hanging out in the hospital because my Dad was there, and in the restroom of an Amtrak train. Concealing the fact that I was vaping did not depend on the size of the mod I was using. Others, though, seem, from what I've read, to be more familiar with such situations.

For me, if it isn't producing a visible cloud, it isn't producing enough vapor for me to find worthwhile anyway. So in my opinion, the major appeal of the small size of the iStick is convenience and pocketability, not concealment.
