I can't believe I'm saying this, but -- I'm actually getting sick of custards! Must be comin down with something!

I have a craving for apples and for lime. Of course I'll make the recipe @Kaezziel developed (as soon as my latest BCV order arrives), but I'm also thinking of Key Lime Tarts or maybe a key lime/lemon meringue pie. White peach bourbon pudding is also sounding kinda good ...

I've gotten that way, on occasion, myself. That's when I usually switch it up with something fruity, too. For me, it's usually either Peaches and Cream or Honeyed Pear. (I'll repost the recipes for ya, Deb! ;) ) I'll have more tea concentrate ready in about two weeks. I really did like the Rooibos juice that I made a little while back, but now I'm out of my homemade tea flavor. A white peach and bourbon pudding does sound really good, though! :D

ditto but with kanthal a1

Hiya, Kross! Sorry, I haven't been around the rayon thread much lately. :( Kanthal is pretty good wire, but if you're really chasing flavor, you should try SS at some point. I find that it gives better flavor than either kanthal or nichrome... and I LOVE my nichrome. ;)

Thanks for sharing your pictorial, that was very well done!
That Azeroth looks interesting, but I can forgo the genesis style as well. Can't wait for the Mage and KF v5 to get here!
Godspeed the clinical trial and positive results for your Bride! Please keep us in the loop, as you are both in our prayers!
We must think a lot a like! I wanted to try out the dna but wasn't really willing to pay over 100.00 to find out! the yihi was 130.00 and came with a pretty decent mod-able box
I actually owned the Renegade RGX II mod for just long enough to put the kit together, screwed on a KF lite and took about three tokes, then handed it to my best friend who loves the thing!
Have rarely heard anything negative about yihi and have to give them Kudos for actually providing decent firmware with their boards right from the get-go.

You're very welcome, Sir. And thank you for saying so. :) I did one very similar for the Stumpy RDA a little while back, if you (or anyone else) is interested.
Yeah, I just can't get into the new RDTAs. When they first came out, I was a little interested in the Theorem, but the more I looked into them, they just don't fit my style. I'm sure they are an improvement over the old style genny tanks, but I'm just not willing to deal with that anymore.
Thank you, Sir, and the same for y'all! I normally post any updates over on the Back Porch (in an attempt to keep on topic over here). I have been continually amazed and overwhelmed by the amount of love and support displayed by our dear porchers. It is truly humbling and I feel blessed to have been invited into this wonderful little family.
I have yet to actually build any real type of mod, myself. I mean, I did a little modding way back in the early days of vaping, but nothing with any of the regulated boards. Kudos to you for trying your hand at it! I was extremely fortunate in getting to try out the YiHi mod when a kind and beautiful soul gifted me with the mod that I now have. I cherish that mod and baby it as if it were made of glass... even though it's made out of billet aluminum and could likely withstand being run over by a truck! I've never upgraded the firmware on it because you're right. The firmware that was on it when I got it has been more than adequate for handling everything that I've thrown at it so far. :D

I have both and in power mode they are both fine but in TC is where the DNAboard excels I've trie using my RX200 with SS and it keeps jumping to power. It does OK with Ti and probably Ni or NiFe

Got a question for you. Do you have any idea what chipset Sigelei uses in the Fuchai 213? I'm just curious, but so far, it seems to me that it is handling TC with SS316L very well out of the box. It does have a TCR and TFR option, but I really don't know what I should do with those. I've just been using the default SS316 settings and locking in the resistance.

Wow......a week offline due to a severed power cable. 24 pages of posts on the BP, but only 2.5 pages here.

Great to see ya back, Darlin'! I'ma tryin' to keep the multi-quotes runnin' for ya... ya know, if they don't get used regularly, they start to break down... ;)

jup, that's neighbors in Texas distance. But.......since I don't have a car, it's a mighty long walk. If I had a car, I'd have been down there long ago to meet kenna, and again to meet Kaezz.

Someday, Darlin'... we'll figger out a way for us to all meet up.

I missed this one somehow. Will one of y'all post it please?

Gimme a bit to catch up, and I'll dig it up and repost it for ya... do you need the honeyed pear (Aphrodite's Kiss) again, too?

Juice day! Getting out mixing supplies ... :)

@Kaezziel, gonna try both, this morning. Have to sub FA Lemon Sicily for the Cap, and FA Fuji for TFA Apple. I think it'll work. I'll let you know!

Yaaaaayyyy! :D:D:D
I'm sure that the FA Lemon and Fuji will be perfect substitutes. You could probably even use the Ina Two Apples, if you prefer. As for the Lemon, I think even a few drops of lemon juice would do the trick... I was just trying to brighten up the flavors a little bit, because the recipe that I found for an actual Tarte Tatin used a lemon and the reviews of that recipe raved about how much better that made the Tarte.

IDK I do know that the first Sigelei 213 they came out with the board was way off. I haven't been keeping up on Sigelei's because I have no interest in them actually kind of quit watching reviews all together. IDK who makes there boards I know they are not YiHi or Evolve.

Yeah, according to everything that I read before I bought it, the board in the first 213s were using Fahrenheit for the calculations for the TC, and for whatever reason, it was throwing everything way off. With the Fuchai, they switched it back to Celsius. To me, it seems to be working fine... the biggest complaint that I have seen about the Fuchai is that it doesn't truly reach 213W as they claim. I don't really care about that... even in my true cloud chasing moments, I never get anywhere near 200W. I just didn't know if the boards were made for Sigelei by someone else or not.

Thanks, David! So Sigelei makes their own boards for it. I wasn't sure if I'd read the Spinfuel review or not, so I checked it out. I know that I read a lot of stuff about it, but I think I may have missed that one, so thanks for that. :) Pretty decent review, and his views of it pretty much reflect mine as well. I guess, all in all, it doesn't really matter... I like the mod. ;)

I never dwelled past kanthal into any other wire since with the other wire types your relying on the electronics of your hitter to keep the vape safe. Through my years of vaping I have come not to rely on most chips being able to give accurate readings. I just like to build, vape and enjoy and not have hassle with mod settings or what kind of wire this is...just load up a mech and go is my preferred way. I have a good ol sentinel thats still hitting great after 3 years and its apart of my always nearby PV's.

I would like to have it if you wouldn't mind posting it. I tried searching for it and came up empty. I am getting a list together for a flavor order and would like to order any flavors I am missing. If the Honeyed Pear is anything like your Peaches and Cream, I really want to give it a try.

It's the exact same thing when using NiChrome 80 or Stainless Steel (any of the varieties). They can be vaped just as safely as Kanthal on a mech mod. You just have to be mindful of your overall resistance. And, as we all know, it is completely possible to build to "unsafe" resistances with Kanthal. ;) I run both NiChrome and SS316L in my mechanical mods with no issues... just have to make sure that the resistance of my builds are within my battery's specs.

Here y'all go... for @Debadoo and @Diver9543 (and anyone else who may want to try these out).

All of these recipes are 100% TFA flavoring. Feel free to substitute or alter to your own taste budz, and I am always open to suggestions for improvement!! :D

Ambrosia
Juicy Peach - 10%
Sweet Cream - 8%
Vanilla Bean Ice Cream - 5%
Sweetener - 3%
Cotton Candy - 2%

I'd probably cut the sweetener down to 1% or drop it entirely... as is, it is a Very sweet juice and just seems to get sweeter as it steeps.

Aphrodite's Kiss
Pear - 12%
Juicy Peach - 4.5%
Vanilla Bean Gelato - 5%
French Vanilla Creme - 5%
Cotton Candy - 2%
Honey - 1.5%

This one is good "as-is", but the flavors develop a bit more with a little steeping. The honey flavor tends to soften with time.

Brickhouse Custard
Vanilla Custard - 10%
French Vanilla Creme - 5%
Dulce De Leche - 5%
Egg Nog - 5%
Vanilla Bourbon - 3%
Sweetener - 2%

Steep for a month. I suggest large batches! ;)

Honey Nut Custard
Vanilla Custard - 10%
French Vanilla Creme - 8%
Peanut Butter - 6%
Sweetener - 2%
Honey - 2%
AP - 2%

I'm still fine tuning this one, and am open to any suggestions.

Waiting to hear back from @LittleBird on a couple other recipes that I'm working on, so y'all stay tuned! ;)

Bought anAspire Quad Flex atty. It can be configured as a Genny, a dripper, a Nautilus X or a squonker. Top or side adjustable air flow, big bore or standard drip tip, single or dual coil. It slices! It dices! It juliennes!

*Stuffs Ron Popeil back in the closet*

I've only set it up as a Genny so far, with the supplied Claptons, but it worked well and is the first Genny I ever had work on the first build. I'm going to set it up on my new BF mod when it arrives.

I'm happy with it, quality is good like I would expect from Aspire. There is a thread about in the RTA section that I didn't find till I'd had it a week.

If you like different styles of tanks, you should check it out.

Re: DIY, Yup, figuring out percentages is the hardest part - especially between flavoring vendors. I'm using a lot of FlavourArt, and it seems much stronger than TFA (which I also use). Stronger, even, then Inawera and Hangsen. I'd love to have a spreadsheet that does conversions between vendors. How great would that be?!

Just made 30 mls of Peach Parfait and 100mls of Apple Cinnabun (@Kaezziel, that's what I call it in my head :)). As there's no juice I like as shake-n-vape, it'll be a few days before I know how they worked out. Please, please, please let them satisfy this craving!

Yeah, usually between 25-30%... give or take.
I started DIY by reading everything in the TFA thread here. One of the members, Bill's Magic Vapor, mixes high percentages to reduce steep times. The vast majority of mixes done this way are vapeable as soon as you finish shaking the snot out of 'em. Of course, custards still benefit from a good steep... tobaccos, also, but fruits and creams and the like are good to go. Just Shake and Vape.

If you prefer lower percentages, you can always use the same ratios that I used and mix the flavors as a base, then use whatever percentage of flavoring to PG/VG/Nic that you want.

When I put my last order in, I must've been woolly-headed. A few things I was absolutely certain I ordered, I didn't. TT has to wait. :(

Sometimes I take the recipes and figure out the volume from the %'s provided and mix the flavors in a separate bottle. Then I use them in my eliquid at a ratio I prefer - I have the proper flavors mixed to get the end results, but what I vape is at a very low ratio...
