I was there! Stationed at Kelly AFB. It shut down the whole city. I remember reports of over 700 traffic accidents the following morning during rush hour.

Heh. I was stationed at Randolph at the time, but living out near Kirby. They didn't understand why I was adamant about not coming in. Told 'em I could start walking, but motorized transportation was definitely out of the question as two wheels was just not safe in weather like that. Finally sunk in after 5 minutes of arguing that I didn't have a car. Just the motorcycle.

I lived in Kirby too. Whaaat? I lived in the Mystic Sunrise subdivision. Soon after they sectioned 8'd that subdivision we could hear gunshots almost every night. Got the heck outta there and moved to Austin in '89.

Go figure. I lived in Sunrise as well (off Foster Rd). They call it Gunrise now. Took me forever to get rid of that house after PCSing to the UK in '92.

I know Foster road well. I used to test run my hotrod Mustang on Foster. There's probably still a few of my tranny parts laying in a ditch there. Literally sent the secondary shaft and a few gears flying through the tranny case on a 1st to 2nd gear shift.

You wouldn't recognize anything out that way now. There's a Walmart at Foster and Binz Engleman, HEB on Foster and FM78, and a high school between I10 and Binz Engleman. FM78 is completely built up between Universal City and Kirby.

CRS, so really cannot say what the issue is. I have noticed an increase of sensitivity across ECF though... Probably stress of three holidays back to back.
So, relax, have a vape and try not to be funny... That may cause you stress though, since you are so good at it.

Sorry about all that, I just figured if I posted something that wouldn't offend me, which very little does, that after almost 5 years of posting here I wouldn't get judged. Hell it didn't even offend me when Mama said "Screw all you Seattle fans" I knew it was Mama and didn't mean it in a bad way. But you have to admit Texas has some of the strangest laws of any state. Sort of like this state, the Eastern part wanted to become a separate state from the Westside because of their view differing so much from them. Oh well I guess I have to be reined in occasionally. I don't think one puff of the thing that can't be mentioned changed me in any way, I'm still me. So enough about that.

Well today I'm going to attempt rebuilding 2 of my K5's with the MTL kits. Just trying to decide which one of these little things that they overcharge you by at least 1000% for. They couldn't cost over $1 to make if that and they charge you $10 for them. Plus I need to put the battery charger on the engine battery in the motorhome. For some reason being plugged in that battery doesn't remain charged like it is supposed to. The other 2 do just fine but you have to keep a battery charged to at least 80% to keep it from freezing, and with these temps thats important. The 7 day forecast is for no temps above freezing for at least that long, the highest is like 28 for 7 days. But like they say if it comes in like a lion it goes out like a lamb. I sure hope so. Expecting 4-6" of snow tonight. Not my favorite thing. Plus I have to get a letter written to my doc telling her what to say on the forms for me to get new microprocessor ankles. Mine after 5 years are wearing out, the Orings in the hydraulic system are going bad and the batteries are not taking a charge like they should be. The company wants as much to fix them as new ankles would cost around $20K and only have a 1 year warranty new ones would have a 3 year. They are adjustable with an app on your smart phone.

...and LOL, while I was cleaning out drawers, I found a 30mm Buddha I bought and forgot about. It's gonna look funny on the RX, but I'm gonna throw a build on for goofs after my clone (kennedy 25) gave me agita by leaking out of the negative post screw. I'm gonna fix that one too while I'm in a handyman sorta mood.
