Let's discuss our stock coil stashes.

I originally planned to only stock up on ProTank2's along with PT2 coils. Partially because they can be rebuilt. A nice, simple plan, don't you think?

I also have a Billet Box along with a Bridge and Sabot. The Bridge takes non-Nautilus BVC coils. The Sabot takes Aro II coils.

So, that's 3 kinds of coils already.

Then I ran into a special on Vision Victory coils. I happened to already really like the Vision Victory. So, I bought a lifetime supply for about $25.

That's 4 now.

Then I went and tried the infamous eggrolls (Joyetech eGo ONE Mega V2). I was only experimenting to find something my brother might like. He's quit vaping entirely, and I'm concerned. Well, I really like them. They may just do the trick for him too. However, I also heard they're getting ready to discontinue them. So, I've now started stocking up on them.

That's 5 now.

What kind of stock coil stashes do y'all have?
I have some Nautilus coils, some non Nautilus bvc's. Everything else is 28g SS or Kanthal for my drippers & Kayfuns. I just refused to get things that required a lot of different coils j anything other than 18650 flat tops. I do have a few Isticks with selfcontained batteries.

I started with Evod coils, then T3S coils. Was in heaven when I found out I could use T3S coils in my Evods, because they were cheaper, so REALLY stocked up on those, I have 10 or 15 boxes left . The T3S coil is the one I learned to build on. I've saved all of the pieces and parts of the ones I intended to rebuild, but I moved on to collecting Nautilus coils, for when I'm at work. I have a 10 year supply . I have a few boxes of Subtank coils, for when I thought my daughter would stick with the Subtank. All of those wait for someone to use them, because I have moved on completely to rebuildable Kayfuns :vapor:. Now, I have TONS of Kanthal, 28 to 34, and TONS of Koh Gen Do cotton.

ETA...I just remembered, I actually started with 510 attys for my cigalike, then on to cartomizer. I finally found somewhere to send all of it, because I knew those would never be used, by me, again. I think I had 5 new atomizers, still in the box/plastic, and several hundred new packaged cartos left.

Oh, the good ole days. :)

I started with the PT coils, refused to get into any other type. Got hubby using them, too. Then I got talked into Kayfuns, great, I make my own coils! Along came the Ego One's and I had to give them a try. I now have enough of each for the rest of our lives! And, of course, wire......

Although we don't use them ... we're only stocked on Aspire coils for Kabuki's and Nautilus tanks. Probably a few hundred ... some of the originals and some w/ the new cotton wicks and bigger wick holes. And I guess I should order some 29g Kanthal. I have about 1/2 roll and that's all we use for our rebuildables. There's a bunch of other size Kanthal in the vape box but haven't used any of that for over a year since I standardized on 29g for both Janet and myself.

I"m semi stocked on PT and T3S coils, having standardized on those way back. Don't use them much at all, although one on a spinner and a lanyard is handy for when out doing yard work, and I won't cry if it does get broken ;) Rebuilt the ones that have seen use, easy enough though "fiddly."

Most everything else is KFs, so 500' of kanthal and a 90 year supply of rayon

Almost exclusively Aspire BVCs fer my Naughties/Kabukis. Must say though dat I do think I have 'nuff wire and 'bedding' (aka wickin' material) to make Peter Parker a vast and comfy retreat...

The only "stock" coils I have are Kanger single bottom coils (Protank, Davides and EVODs) which I rebuild. Everything else (various Kayfuns and a few others like Merlins and Lemos) are RBAs.
I'm the same way. Kanger and kayfun. that way, I can use a screw to make a new coil on the kanger, and I think I have 3 lifetime supplies of kanthol.

I have 4 boxes of coils for my Herakles Plus but have them packed away. I am now exclusively using Kayfun V3.1 and V5. I will need to order more SS316L but Temco is on a 3 month backorder. I did get vape mail today from Vapor Bank. I got 3 more Kayfun V3.1s, 2 dripper tanks and 2 conversion kits. On a whim, I also got the Kanger Dripbox 160. It isn't that friendly for MTL but I'll see how it goes. It came with Clapton SS316L coils and puts out an insane amount of vapor.

This is really embarrassing. I really intended to stick to one and only one type clearo coil. But, it didn't work out that way.

Of course, like everyone else I have lots of RBAs , plus cartos for my BB and my carto-tanks. The only coil I still plan to buy more of is the CLR. I don't have many yet. Plus, I really think my brother will like it. If I can get a chance to visit him to let him try them out. As soon as I have confirmation, I'll buy more.

@mmsjs5, if your cartos are looking for a home, let me know.

@MikeE3, 29 gauge is all I've been using lately too. Higher resistance with enough thickness/strength to be easy to work with.

every time I hear that I bawl like a baby.

My daughter flew aeromed which included flights from Iraq back to the US. She said that everything changed when there were flags aboard. They were the hardest missions she ever flew.
God bless her, I know that was hard.

When I wished my active SFC Florida National Guard son a Happy Memorial Day, he said "meh, it's for honoring those who paid full price for their service. Veterans Day is for those still paying off their loan". I thanked him anyway, saying I am glad I am not honoring his memorial. He said he agrees. Such the comic!

He just received his Masters Degree in Cyber Security and there is talk of the Army opening a cyber security unit in Florida. If he can get in on that, he's a made man! He says he is brown nosing already ;)
jup a lot of folks either don't realize the difference, or think they are both for honoring all vets. And while we should honor all vets everyday in our hearts, Memorial day is for the fallen. I do like what how he put that though. Wow, congrats to him on the degree!! Really hope they do open that there and that he gets stationed there!!

Well I put some advertising on the Newb thread to come here and ask for help. I told them we were oldie and moldie but ask for @Kenna just kidding but I did say you can always come here and ask some questions. It still amazes me some of the stuff newbies are trying. This guy couldn't figure out why his coil wasn't firing. He was trying to use a .1 ohm coil on a mod that won't fire below .3. Hmmm wonder what it could be. And why would a newb be using a .1ohm coil, pre built.
kewl! We'll make you head of our PR dept!

OK. I'll get this started.

beautiful!

I do have a couple nauti tanks and a couple boxes of coils for those and the non nauti bvc ones. I think I gave the non nauti tanks to my sil and nephew when they tried vapin last time. Was going to give the nauti tanks to my dil's mom who tried vapin again last week. Took the tanks, and laid out a mod to take, but forgot to take the mod. But she caved again after 2-3 days. Next time I'm able to go over there I'll take mod and tanks and see if it helps her. She says she'll try again. Her son uses nauti mini's, so if she doesn't make it with vaping I'll see if he wants the tanks and coils.

For my use my "stock coils" are 500 feet of SS wire :D
