My First and Last order story from efundottop --- we'll see how it pans out via a PP dispute. Not counting on getting my money back.
I could never. Everything from dot-top gets auto deleted. So I wouldn't even know if they were sending ads. I was getting piles from that domain. (in more wayz den one)

Honestly, I usually don't download firmware updates. Most of them, for most mods I own, are for fixing probs with 316ss (which I never use in tc) and to add more power (which I don't need). I'm happy with all my mods right where they're at but the new dna updates sound interesting, being able to switch between temp priority and power priority as well as being able to select from multiple wire types on the mod while in any given profile will appeal to some.
Now, if evolve were to offer tcr adjustment on the mod I'd be all over that update. We wouldn't even have to use escribe at all then and I think the dna demographic would broaden tremendously.
Yeah that temperature dominant feature is cool but I've also heard that with each new FW update it makes the mod more responsive to the way it figures temp but the 1.2 makes it nice that all the DNA's will be able to use 1 escribe which now the latest for the 75 is not the same as the 200 and a lot of people love it. It is available on the Evolve chit chat under early software. I also heard that when it becomes final Evolve will probably do away with the links for the other ones. I have the link just haven't dl yet. One thing I've noticed with the FW I have for the 75 which is the latest before 1.2 doesn't seem to have a place where you can adjust the room temp if it is reading it wrong in device monitor.

@Kenna, tell me again, please, how you wick your KFL+V2. I'm especially interested in the wick tails' proximity to the juice channels. For no apparent reason, my KFL isn't wicking properly: no flooding, but burnt hits, galore. I seem to have lost my knack. :( Thanks, dear one!
For the v2's just enough wick to fill the coil, not tightly. Juice it up & trim so it's just touching the deck. Glue the bottom to the base & the block well away from the juice channels. My wicks get make fun of but they work great, no dry hits!

Thanks so much, Mike. I'll try shortening the tails. I'm wondering if my coil is too far down... Maybe if I raise it a smidge, that will help. This is what happens when I don't wick a Kayfun for awhile. It all goes kerflooey!
I set my 2.5 coils a couple of mm's above the hole. Enough that I can see daylight under the coil. Too much wick causes issues, #1 Kayfun rule: Less is more.
I use a little more wick in th K5.

Mike,

Where do ya get your rayon?

I bought these in Oct. 2014 and haved used about 25% of the bag. They're a bit more time consuming to use than Sally's as you have to unroll them. Way back then they were 'talked' about as being 'better' than Sally's so that's what I started with and still using. I can't compare to Sally's as I never used it. $3.50 for the bag and $4 for shipping.

Delasco - Rayon Balls

That still seems to be the consensus, Mike, from over in the rayon wick thread. But I started with Sally's (Graham Cellucotton 100% rayon - there's another Graham that's not, so read the box!), and until I'm done with that 12,000 wick box....

Yep, that's how I used to wick kayfuns, lemos, stminis and others with that type of deck and tiny juice channels. "Less is more" was always the mantra.
Now it's "more is more", within reason and only in the coil. The wicktails get thinned at least 50% in all my attys these days.
When I switched over to more in the coil and less in the tails all my attys performed much better. Waaaay better flavor and zero dryhits.
The theory is that juice "tends' to collect in the greatest cross sectional area of wick. If the wicktails are twice as long as the coil (and not thinned) then after every vape the wicktails tend to pull juice from the coil a little. This leaves the coil drier than the tails and also dirties up the juice in your tank. Not really what we want. So I thin the tails to reduce the cross sectional area of the wicktails. It works great with cotton and is pretty much mandatory with rayon.
Wicking heavier in the coil not only puts more wicking in the coil but also helps to offset irregularities of the coil wraps when the cotton expands.
Just saying it works for myself and others. I know everyone has their own way.:)

I would venture to say that most of us will never use the wicking material or Wire that we've purchased over the years. And after the massive Stocking up that many have done in recent months I would bet on it. And I'm surely not a betting man.:D:lol::shock:

Wanna bet?

::: whistling nonchalantly :::
If we were in touch physically I sure would;) Because I want to make sure I can collect. Unless you're like me and didn't buy up have of a room worth. I have a Box of Rayon, a couple of packs of that Bacon stuff, pack of KJD, and probably a football filed worth of Wire. That if I never quit Vaping which I will would last me a lifetime. I figure a Coil takes less than 12" ( a Roll is 100'); a pinch of wicking. I mean really! How much does one person need?? And I surely realize that in America More is always better, BUT! Or it may just be me, but I do things in moderation and not in excess. But then that is my life.;) Each to their own for sure.
But yeah given reality and not virtual life; I would bet.
And I have to retract part of that S_X was something I sure did in excess And still do anytime I can:D

Yep I've got about 200' of nickel which I will never use. Don't like it. A lot of Kanthal which I will have to be desperate to use. When I say desperate I'll be down to the mods that have to have 1 ohm. I'm pretty stuck on SS but I do want to try Ti in my DNA. It may already be in my DNA I have a Ti rod in my leg.
