Sorry for the three posts, I had something that needed my attention so cut my reply short to you Legs.

I actually bought that renegade kit with the yihi sx350? 330? (whatever). Gave that mod to a close friend of mine and got him off the coffin nails.
Never really used the TC much, but I have a lot of time on my hands now so why not, lol.
I remember a thread this spring where everyone was having a lot of trouble with one of the dna chips, sounded firmware related, so I guess they got it fixed huh.
Asus is known for the same problems, great hardware, but sometimes you have to wait for good firmware. In most cases it is well worth the wait!

I wasn't in the hospital more than about a week, and it looks like I may not have to do chemo, so life is good! I know you would have been there, and I really appreciate having friends like you! Mt first night in the hospital was like a family reunion, lol.

Right on legs, I'm going to take a look at the KF's let ya all know what I come up with.
They have definately got the bugs worked out. They did have problems for a while but they are amazing now. I'm sure the best TC there is.

Thank you all so very, very much! The prayers have worked, and we have been blessed with a small miracle. My Beautiful Bride has been accepted into a clinical trial. . . . . We are both super excited right now!!! :D
I'm so happy to hear this!

And yes, any KF can be top filled. That's how I deal with my 3.1s, since I don't like the little check valve. With it empty (or nearly so), loosen the top. Cover the air intake, remove the top, fill. Get the top threads started, invert, release the block on the air intake and finish tightening the top. Turn right side up, take a couple of draws and it should be good to go.
Ok. I just did it. It worked fine. I was worried the chimney would unscrew when I took the top off. It didn't. Does it sometimes?

Welcome back! I see RL got in the way. Glad everything is going well. Nice to see you again.

Hey if you want TC that works get a DNA. Man I am loving them. Like one guy said he has no idea how they did it but they have got TC working so good with any metal including SS the rest of the vapor world is going crazy. How did they do it. With the new Escribe and the service pack that does something to your device it is just awesome. You run the Device Monitor and the temp is almost a perfect straight line. I have become a convert since you been gone. Bad medical issues? You should've called me I'd of come and visited you in the hospital. No kidding though if you want TC that works DNA is the way to go th 75, 133 or the 200. I have 2 75's and one 200 and love all 3. I switched to SS because I thought it might be better on my lungs but just wasn't real happy the way that YiHi vaped with it. So I got a DNA and what a difference. I think my next one will be a 133 cause it uses the 200 board which is probably the best one but the 75 while not being quite as efficient works every bit as well for me. Well Hey Dude it's been a long time got a lot of catching up to do probably 2000 pages. Hope you are better now. How's the weather on that side of town anyway?

I'm looking at the lava box DNA 75 mini,
Lavabox DNA 75 Mini | PVs & mods | VaporBeast
(you got me talked into the tc,lol).

I'm much better now, maybe able to go back to work in 2017 if I play my cards right. Its been cold as a witches tit every morning here in Chattaroy!

We need to get together and catch up sometime. Keep me in the loop on them flavors, I am getting ready to make an order soon and would love to add some new tasty stuff to the collection!

Well I don't think I would get a DNA40. Get a 75 or higher. The price isn't that bad on them. I just got a Therion for $100 a Lavabox 75 for $75 and I know where you can get those for $80 right now. They have one major drawback and that is the screen cover. The VT133 by Hcigar a lot of people think is the best one around you can find those in the states for $98. Why would you want a DNA40 just curious so I can make suggestions. Believe me the DNA200 is fantastic and not because of the power which I don't use I vape at 25w 410F SS316L and TC that you can set up perfectly through Escribe. Escribe is not that difficult to get a handle on either. I love all the adjustments you can make and you have a tutor right here. I don't even think you can use Escribe with a 40

The main things I was looking at with the DNA40 was, its made in USA, its a kit type build so it should be easy to work on, so I figured just the empty box is probably worth 20.00-25.00 to me, replaceable batts, its a runner and its 50 bucks.
Between my kidneys shutting down in March and Labor and Industries finally giving the go ahead for foot surgery in June (10 months after my accident, lol). I'm able to sit upright for about 4 hrs a day and getting better, and will get the brace boot off Friday, woohoo. Physical therapy for 3 months and then I am free to go back to work!
Doctor was getting ready to start giving me Chemo drugs, but fortunately the latest lab results looked better so I got a reprieve!

High blood pressure (brought on by the kidney problems) was causing the kidneys to leak as much as 42 grams of protein daily. My blood pressure medicine had to be raised several times and I was told, if the protein loss didn't get better the next step was chemo drugs.
So two weeks ago when the blood pressure meds, once again, were not cutting it, instead of calling the Dr, I began eating raw garlic (2 big cloves twice a day) which brought my blood pressure down and lowered the protein loss, and saved me from the whole chemo thing for now anyway!

I will pm ya a cell number, and am looking forward to hearing from you!

Glad to be back and very happy to see you and other friends here. I'm on the mend, and the old 30 watt eleaf isticks will probably never die...Its time to open a new chapter and buy some new vape toys! :)

Looks like I am going to be in the market for a new charger. I currently have two X-tar chargers and on one of them the right bay seems to charge when it wants to - need to replace it.

Any good suggestions on chargers?

I will probably buy it from RTD...
I'll second the Xtar VP 2 bay. Have always heard that xtar is better than nitecore. That being said, I have a 4 bay nitecore that santa sent me. Will still get the xtar vp 4 at some point. My 2 bay is an xtar also.

Yep, I'll be taking over his job at some point... probably after the first of the year. There's a good chance that he'll be offered a package to retire soon. I came to this department 10 years ago and was told that I was to be trained to take over the department as the supervisor... no one told me that it was a 10 year plan. I've known how to do the vast majority of his job for the past 8-9 years. Looks like sticking with it is finally about to pay off! :D
that's fantastic!! Glad it's finally gonna happen for ya!

For a .5Ω range, it isn't that big of a deal.
kewl. Figured that, but wanted to make sure. Yeah, I give my batts plenty of wiggle room.

I probably spoke to soon. I'm usually charging overnight
Jup I do the same.

that sounds awesome Kenna,,,,lol---->>> exile in Alvin,, my husband used to say something like that when his employer was in Alvin.
that's so kewl y'all can get together, but I'm jealous. I've been wantin to meet Kenna for years! I'm bout 4.5 hrs from y'all.

Any returns I have had to ship back go to their Miami office.
Good to know.

Howdy folks! I have had a few medical issues over the past 8 months, I'm back!
welcome back hun!! Really hope ya don't have to do the Chemo. Glad you're doing better, but sounds like ya still have a ways to go. Hope you're tip top soon!!

Howdy folks! I have had a few medical issues over the past 8 months, I'm back!

Wife and I would like to get some new vape gear.

~Mods~
Looking for bang for buck as well as, temp control that works, replaceable battery('s) if possible, Wife has small hands and prefers the color pink, red, or that girly purple color.
40-50 watts is plenty for these daily drivers...

~Tanks ~ (flavor is more important to us than cloud volume)

I would like an RTA that is capable of lung hits, three post deck and easily configured airflow if possible.

Wife loves my old Kanger sub tank mini (rta), and her Kayfun (Ephro) clone you folks helped me pick out. Top fill or easy filling would be nice. This tank also needs to be RTA if possible.

If you know of a great device that does not fit my parameters, speak up, I am more than willing to learn a few new tricks! :)

I missed you folks, its nice to be back! I'm going to enjoy catching up with this thread. Thanks...

Welcome back. Nice to hear your health issues are under control.

Can't help w/ TC mods, but looks like 2legs has you covered. If you can do w/o 3 posts in an atty, here's another recommendation for the KFV5. Like said it has 4 air flow settings and if you can't find one you like, there's also an air flow kit. It's 3 small tubes each with different inner diameter. It slips right into the air tube of the KFV5. These are mainly for people who like a more restricted flow. The OEM set from Svoemesto fits the Tobeco clone just fine.

I know, right? I still have a bunch of flavors sitting here that I need to taste test, but having a hard time getting the brain engaged to get it done. I started a 100 drop test on an Arnold Palmer recipe yesterday. It took hours to get in my mind what I should do to accomplish that. I finally got a 2% sweet tea/lemonade 3 ml test together. Nope, doing it again today & going to try to mix 3 30mls of premixed flavorings from the DIY or Die line from ECX. Wayne has a deal with ECX to premix & sell several of his recipies & the Funfetti Cake, Caramel Cream Custard, & Stacio-RY4U are staring holes in me. I think I mixed my base too low, but used the last of my nic on it. By the time I add 12-15% flavoring it's too low. I need to raise it enough to get back to 16mg.
I just woke up & am rambling.

I've not had any problems with that, Dancin'. I DO put a drop of juice at the tip of the chimney when assembling after rebuild/rewick, to lubricate the cap o-ring.

Good to meet ya, Sir. Like Von, I don't think you and I have met before, but I'm always happy to make a new friend. As for lookin' to get some new vape gear, I'll agree with everyone else and be more than happy to sit back while Legs gets ya all sorted out with the mod.

But, for the RTA that you're asking about, it's a little different than what you're specifically asking for. I'm a huge fan of the CoilArt Mage. I got mine from FastTech. They have it listed for $29, but if you use the coupon code MAP, that'll bring it down to $24.38. It isn't a three post; it uses a Velocity style deck that will easily accomodate a dual build (that's what it's designed for). I usually build 3mm ID coils, and have been using 26g SS316L. Comes out to about 0.25Ω, but I'm runnin it in TC mode on a Sigelei Fuchai 213. Set at 450°F, and it has been an awesome flavor tank with plenty of airflow. Absolutely no problem whatsoever with lung hits! ;) I think you'd like it a lot, and I have put together a build pictorial for it if you're interested.

Glad to hear that you're able to avoid any chemo treatments (even if only for now). We've been dealing with a lot of that with my Bride for the past 3 years. She's now gotten into a clinical trial, so we're hoping that we can find something that will work out. Best of luck with your health, and you've now been added to our daily prayer list.

I'm so happy to hear this!

Thank you so much, DH!! I can't describe how happy it made us to hear it, and it made me just as happy to be able to share the good news with y'all!
