We anticipate your absence up until April 15. No worries. Just stay close to the board the other 9 months, OK?

Well, what's funny is, with the three funny letters behind my name, I don't DO taxes :w00t: I'm an accounting software consultant, and January is usually my "worst" month. Everyone wants W-2s, 1099s, go live on new software, etc.

Because I'm on the "Tech" side of my firm, I am not under that "Shell of Hell". I did play that game for a couple of years when I first started at my firm, but I knew I wasn't destined for that life. That SUCKS! I have WAY more fun doing what I do - sometimes stressful - but really a lot of fun.

It would be much nicer if I didn't have to "stealth" when I'm in my office :sneaky: I need to stop that - it has been "discussed" with me previously. I'm working on less "obvious" solutions :D

Give me a couple of weeks, "Ah'll Be Bach"

Well, I was right about one thing-- your busiest month is still tax-related.

Sometimes lurker just weighing in here on what it took to quit smoking.((42 year smoker-2 pack a day)
I bought a cheap kit, low battery life, no vv and some cheap juice. Got me through a few things (funeral, visit with dad) but I was always anxious to go smoke. Heard others were doing it but that I needed to upgrade to VV and something with TH. That did it. More battery life, a little higher voltage and Kiwi Strawberry that gave me some TH. Now I could take this thing seriously. From there I made a deal with myself that I could either buy some more juice or some cigarettes but one or the other. (mind you I was buying 5-6 cartons at a time and would get nervous if I got down to one carton) Started ordering juice from the internet, reading ECF and kept at it.
I would say the hardest part to get past was missing the TH. Once I got past that (maybe 6 months) it was easy peasy all the way.
Things that helped: Cinnamon juice, strong tobacco's (Mountain Oak Vapors) and RY4's, menthols and anise

Hi, chanel! Glad you found us, always welcome. Thanks for sharing your story, and congrats!

LOL - uhhhhhh, YES!

I know it's a rough evening when charging my batteries is my height of excitement

I have tons of tanks to clean, but I'm just not interested at the moment... Which will stress me in the morning because I won't know what tank to take with me to work..... I know, first world problems :D
I make deciding easy. A Kayfun or a Kayfun. Unless I take my Reo!

Welcome to the front porch. We try to keep the chats vape related here on the front porch. Sometimes we actually do a good job of it, too.
We also have a porch that is dedicated to just about all topics except as I was taught when in mixed company never discuss these 3 things: Politics, Religion, and Sex. We do a pretty good job of regulating things ourselves, however, sometimes our favorite mod might rear their head and we have to throttle it back. The Back Porch can be found here:
Older Folks and Vaping Back Porch - Part Seven

Re Chanel (flashback trigger), got a lil' true tale to tattle...

Post my 'Nam 'tour', I knew I desired that Patty be my bride... even after three 'Dear Johnnys' ('nother story). Little did I realize that sending her a small Christmas package of Chanel #5 would be anticipated as an engagement ring prior to unwrapping! She still claims I did that on purpose, which I hadn't. But it sure worked out alright!

Regardless, here we are in 2017 anticipating our 48th anniversary in mid-May; in part thanx to Chanel!
Wow, I love hearing about successful long-term marriages. Congratulations to you and Patty.

I've been using unflavored for over 2yrs. now, and have also gradually reduced my nic to 3mg/ml (down from 24 at the beginning!). To me, the advantages of unflavored are too numerous to list - wicks last a month+, no-hassle mixing, no steeping, no time spent on 'recipe research', no experimenting/throwing away recipes you don't like, don't have to buy 6 different brands looking for the perfect strawberry or (insert other flavor here), not inhaling an unknown... etc. etc. I could go on and on... but I won't. :D
I was a pipe smoker, so part of the fun of smoking was the fiddling. All that getting the flavor mixes just right is part of the fun for me. I used to have 6 to 8 flavors going every day. Now I just have two, plus a mint with double nic. I also started high (18) and am down to about 3mg/ml.
I get depressed when stressed, so have that higher nic for those times.

Hold er up there muh peeples! I started by searchin for baccy flavs too. Stumbled across a cherry tobacco that was a perfect match to middletons cherry blend pipe tobacco. Which I used to smoke eons ago. Soon as I tasted it I was hooked. Went back to order more and... "this product iz being discontinurated".
Ordered a half dozen. Every one sucked. Badly.
So that started the search for the perfect cherry tobacco. Never found it. Now at that time, the mere thot of vaping anything that wasn't tobacco flavur wuz stomach turning. Somehow I did get stuck with a flavor or two that was, well... interesting. Stumbled across quacks... nirvana. Still doesn't beat the cherry tobacco but just call me content. :)

From what i understand, tobaccos require a good long steep for the flavor to develope. I have one RY4 that requires a 2 week steep. I can't taste any tobacco in it at all.

The mixologist.
I have a few flavs I mix that I like. Problem is you kin go nutz trying to figger out how much of what. Even with a single flavor mix. Some flavs you need just a few %, some 20% or even more.
So if it sux does that mean you need more flavor? Or less? Does it need to steep? Or not?

It's tough to produce a tobacco flavor because we don't put a match to it when vaping. So IMO the best tobacco flavor is "unflavored". (think of nicotine as the flavoring)
It's easy however to play with the flavor enhancers that have been used with tobacco products over the years. 555 is my favorite, and IMO the best 555 is nothing more than 1% hazelnut & 0.5% peach. (your % will probably be different with different toppers) I use TFA flavorings & A7 RDAs.

True unless you vape NETs. I don't know how you all feel about vaping naturally extracted tobaccos. They're in my daily rotation and for the most part shake and vape unless I add other flavors to create RY4s, 555's etc.
