Is everyone switching to replaceable batteries? I love my istick 40, nice simple. But although I'm not hearing any worries over here about availability post deeming. Nicotine available from U.K., and my freezer. The American market will drive it all. Will the replaceable batterries extend the life of mods considerably, do you think? My last buy was an evicmini with isub top fill tank. Don't care for it much. Tastes funny. I'd buy the istick, if everything over there wasn't so iffy. I've got 2 box provaries, love those except for the connection bits. I guess I'm wondering if the mods will last considerably longer just by changing batteries or is the life span about the same?

@DancingHeretik - Yay on almost stocked up! I am pretty much but want to get more nic that I can tolerate before taxes are to kick in next month, dang it. Figure I can get FT coils in for a while before they get wise to that. Deeming/CA/couple other states suck.

So sorry to hear about Amy. Medical emergencies, human or pet, are the pits. Believe me, I know from experience. Hope she rebounds like there is no tomorrow. Maybe she needs a permanent four-legged friend? El Whacko would love to have one but this house is to little to accommodate two of them without a fenced yard. That and I don't think I could handle it if they both turned out be as insane as El Whacko is.

Glad Amy seems to be doing better. Tell her we care, give her extra doggie treats and to keep it up. El Whacko would send her some but he's locked up in a kennel as we're going to visit my parents tomorrow. Just realized I didn't pack stronger nic.

Replaceable batteries last around 350 charges. Nonreplaceable are the same. It's cheaper & easier to buy batteries than a whole new mod. You can have a box full of batteries for the price of some mods. I think most of us use replaceables. I do have some iSticks which are more purse friendly than my dual batt mods.

Let me mske id real simple.

Rechargesble batteries only have a number of times they can be recharged a few hundred usually.

A mod with an internal battery becomes a paperweight when the battery dies.

Replaceable batteries. When they NO longer hold a charge; recycle the dead batteries install new batteries and keep using your mod.

There are good and bad Li-On batteries.

Some say can be charged 99+ times.

I had a 32 GB iPod Touch i used over 4 years i bet that battery was charged 500+ times.

When it died i got the iPod Touch 5. That battery didn't last 3 months.

Thanks, I thought as much, but wasn't sure. Brands and models of choice for replaceable battery mods? Not looking for tons of features, durability and easy to use are my priorities. I don't need sub ohm, I vape so much, I've been using nautilus tanks for the 5 mil capacity.

Lots of folks are recommending the Pico but although short (not much taller than an 18650 battery) it is too wide to fit comfortably in my hand. I am partial to the kbox mini.

Some good replies already.

Yes, in theory, all (most) lithiums, replaceable or not, are good for typically 350 or so full charge cycles. The electronics, in either type of mod, will usually last many years, much longer than the battery life. So in general, yes, a replaceable battery mod will last longer - unless you can source the particular "pack" that fits your mod and are good with soldering it in. 18650s won't be eliminated here, too many other uses for this "standard" size cell. But mods, since they're now made out of tobacco, may be.

For you (and others not directly under the fat thumb of the FuDA), it may not be a big issue. Availability for you may not change (much, since the US market is a big driver, but not the only driver of the market.)

And for me, there's a convenience aspect as well. With replaceable, I can check my battery condition before going out the door. If low, just pop in a fresh one and I'm good to go. Replaceable? Dang! Gotta grab another mod, or take my charger and car adapter, and hope it charges before I reach my destination (and don't vape while I'm getting there???? ARRGGHHHH!!

Specific mods? My Picos have been going strong for a long time. Same with my Cloupor Minis and Mini+, Ola Hero X 30s, Presa 75TCs. It really depends on what feels comfortable in your hands.

(And don't blame your Evic Mini for bad taste - try a different tank on it. Might be you just don't like the Isub tank.)

Well since ya dragged me into da conversation and mentioned da iStick 40, I'll say dat da TC40 has been/is my all time favorite PV! I currently have three in daily rotation, three more in my cache and one (kaput)) in da spare parts bin.

I'm also using an iStick PICO, with a couple of new ones in reserve, due to da replaceable batt capability.

BTW, I use da Nautilus and Kabuki toppers.

I really like my Kbox Mini too. I also like the Wismec Presa, a lot. It's almost as narrow as a tube mod, very easy to use, and still short like a box mod. I'll probably order another, if I can.

I've never seen a dedicated Hex Ohm section. There are lots of threads from people with questions or selling/buying one. There is a FB page for Craving Vapor. They are the inventor/manufacturer/sales. I love my Hex Ohms!
