I can help with any suggestions for tanks w/ drop in coils, but I basically get all my batteries from RTD Vapor. I consider them among the top for being 'trustworthy'.

Thanks.
They're certainly fast. I placed an order about 4 AM CST and just got shipping confirmation.

Between those two, I'd lean toward the eGo One. Or just keep using the Davide's :)
Thanks. At this point it looks like there are as lot more choices of tanks that take their coil, too. I only get boringly consistent about what I use after I've decided on a winner. With the VV v3s and the Wismecs that was almost immediate. They each have (had) the qualities I look for. Tanks are harder to decide on, it seems to be a much more subjective process. I keep reading that MTL tootle-puffers want a restricted draw, when one of the main reasons I decided on the Davides is that they have a much airier, more open draw than protanks, or evods, etc.

Yep thats all I use also, always good, you get a case for them with every pair you order also. Never have had a problem. I got 12 on Black Friday good savings and will last me at least a year or more.

The eGo one's may work for you, then. Definitely more air than a PT, can be feathered down to almost as tight, but not quite :) And room for lots more air if/when desired.

Using the CLR heads is a good choice, and while you personally don't / can't rebuild them, there are ways to get it done :)

I loved TEMCO and they are pretty close to me so shipping was only a day or two. Then they started with the OOS stuff. Some people ordered and it would show up as normal. Sometimes you could (can?) find their wire, sold by them, on Amazon. Kinda crazy you have to order wire from England when you live in BC.

Its a real crutch living in Canada and getting vape supplies that you don't have to sell your first born to afford. I'm one of the fortunate too live close enough to the US border to have a US shipping address but now its winter and I don't wanna drive to pick up parcels. Temco..the amazon link that was posted doesn't deliver to Canada nor temco in general deliver to Canada. Went to a couple other US wire sites and ended up with $10.00US plus to ship and still have customs wait time. Wire in Canada is just like trying to buy Hangsen tobac concentrates, the small sizes for large prices plus having to buy 100-150CAD to get free shipping that can cost 10-15 bucks to ship smaller orders using Canada post.
It does kinda suck that I have to go elsewhere to buy supplies but same customs wait, same time frame to receive my order but its the free shipping from spending less then 20 bucksCAD that enticed me to shop in the UK rather than the US or Canada. The shop intown sells aspire gear and juice thats 10 bucks for 15mls and I've gone long past aspire clearos and back of the hand tasted some of the OMG..YUK juices they sell.

I often thought about buying Davides cause they held more than the protanks but never pulled the trigger. I bought some sister attys called Sigelei Puritanks in a coop, they used the protank heads and held 4mls. My wife used them and broke all 4 of them. The kanger airflow adapter most certainly improved the PT airflow until they began to separate from usage(my first run in with pressfit) then they turned into a liability. That was the main reason I began to look for to replace the PT's then found the subtank mini and been enjoying the RBA for a couple years now.

Sheesh sounds like a chance to make some money. Black Market vape supplies snuck across the border and sold in Canada for a tidy profit. Hmmm have to look into that. Hah I have trouble driving to the other side of town without a rest break.. I see permission has been given to turn the dogs loose on states that has legalized you know what. Next is prohibition and food rationing. Ladies you better watch out you may loose the right to vote.

Thanx! No, it wasn't a white birthday; ergo a good birthday! View attachment 710523

@Iffy, that's great! Don't get hit by any falling iguanas. (And if you see one lying on the ground half frozen, pull the little guy into the sun and tell it I hope it feels better soon please.)

For this one paragraph 3 is the main point.
Here I am with another fly-by equipment questions. I got the Wismec Reuleaux* 75 and am loving it. As a retired techy I knew that since it had TC mode I'd have to at least try it. Then I started reading more about TC and decided it is worth trying for the consistency and safety standpoints. So I was already shopping for a new tank or 3 (there are some with drop-in coils, though not a lot) when another Wismec fell out of the sky at me** and there is a possibility of yet a third.

Now the new tanks aren't required*** right away, but some new batteries are. I have 2 18650s bought back in 2015 and never used much and am swapping those in and out of the 1st Wismec.out. If I'm going to continue having my 3 flavors set up all of the time**** I'm going to need 4 new batteries, and at least one new charger since mine will only do 2 at a time.

So allowing that I hope to continue some of my tootle-puffing ways, the SS, Ni, and Ti drop in coils coils are all sub ohm. And these are up to 75W boards, so I'm a little more concerned about doing things right. I'd also like to hear about trustworthy places to buy said batteries. More ideas for drop in coil tanks (I'm currently looking mostly at the Kanger sub/top tanks, and eGo one or clones using their CLR coils.)

So, battery and tank suggestions? (Remembering that I really can't make my own coils. I'm sure a rebuildable could be better, but it's not gonna happen.)

*Though trying to spell it is still a challenge. For those who don't know, it has a squeeze fire control instead of a button - much easier for me to use.

** A completely unexpected PIF from someone who doesn't want to be identified.

*** Though my Davides would look a little silly on these.

**** The effect of 3 magnetic covers on my tray-table may be fun. With just the one I'm 'catching' my nail file, small scissors, miscellaneous bolts, drill bits, and other ferrous clutter. I already reduced my clutter area by going up to a 19" laptop when my 17" went into a death spiral. At least my crochet hooks are aluminum. The magnets should also be useful for finding pins and tiny screws and bolts. (Did I ever mention that I'm a slob?)

Why do I imagine you like this :matrix: only in a recliner surrounded by trays of mods and DIY stuff?

I've heard many times over the years how bad Canada is as far as getting vape stuff over the boarder. It's criminal. I know sometimes there are "work-arounds" (makes it sound illegal though it's not, nor is it underhanded) though I don't know what they are. Have you checked with someone like.. well :censored:! I'm thinking of a specific member I don't see around that much anymore and for the life of me can't get the name to come up. I've been looking for a bit now and can't find a way to search the member database. Anybody know a way to do that? :(

^^^Help^^^

I'll ask a mod tomorrow if no one knows.

I've always wondered why Canada is so hard on vaping. Do they still like their beer and cigarettes and hockey. I know when I used to work on the border and we went across every day and sometimes after work we'd go up and hit a local establishment, If you ever told them they were going to take beer and cigs and hockey away there would've been a revolution for sure.

Why do I imagine you like this :matrix: only in a recliner surrounded by trays of mods and DIY stuff?

That's pretty close, actually. I have a swinging table kind of like the hospital ones, with my computer and current vaping stuff, my water and lots of small clutter - chapstick, nail file, pen, etc, That;s going to have to change with the Wismecs' magnetic battery covers. I'm already picking stuff up with them while I'm vaping.:D

The end table to my left has my charging station, phone, charging VV v3s and my 18650 battery charger, tanks needing cleaning or clean and ready to go (mostly the former, I'm afraid) pipe cleaners and q-tips, plus miscellaneous parts and pieces that should be in the top drawer with coils, out of use mods, boxes of o-rings and spare glass for the Davides, etc. Just past that to my left is my bird watching window. Since the sun here this time of year is close to horizontal from the south, I do have a couple of hours where using the computer is difficult, so I have to get up and take care of things like cooking and dish-washing.:(

The DIY stuff is actually across the room, with the flavors sealed away in a hardware sorter, and the bottles, syringes and scale in a lovely bright ethnic basket my daughter gave me.* I haul what I need into the kitchen for the mixing, along with printouts of the recipes. I have a counter there that is set low enough that I can sit in my desk chair.

* She gave me 2 of the baskets, ** and I like them so well I asked if I could buy more. It turns out that they are made by a women's coop in Africa, that provides fair wages, good working conditions and is also ecologically sound - so while there are more available I can't buy them since they're $60 each. Which really isn't unreasonable for large hand woven baskets.

**the other one is full of yarn and my granny square afghan in progress - I can't do any crochet right into the stitches, but after I figured out a ring to thread the yarn through for tension control I can do grannies and some other patterns that are worked through nice big spaces between the stitches. (It's my post, so I can do footnotes to my footnotes if I want to, right?)

Wow, I aspire to be that organized. Someday. I do have the DIY nailed. PG and VG in squeeze bottles, syringe for nic and a bottle of nic. No flavors to worry about so that much I can manage to organize. :) Everything else is between chaos and organized chaos. When I think I have everything neatly packed into a container, I stumble across and box of miscellaneous stuff, throw up my hands and walk away from it for a couple of months (while I order something else). At least everything is only strewn out in four different rooms instead of the whole house.

Bird window! Have one of those too, very entertaining. I can always tell who has been around here a lot and who hasn't when they see you exhale vape. Deer, birds, rabbits, doesn't matter. If their eyes pop out and the flee, they're not locals.

I once saw a special about those co-ops and they are wonderful. Run into co-op stuff here and there and it's all very nice work. Bet those are some beautiful baskets.

Your post, you get to do footnotes but I have to tell you, you do great footnotes!

Did I say anything about it being organized? Or even neat? There are general spots for stuff, but within those chaos reigns supreme.

You manage to keep so much so close! I need one of those hospital tables!

I've always dreamed of a circular desk with one section open to get in and out. Or, even better, one section cut out that I can line up just right. So, I can be sitting on my bed and just line the cut-out up with the bed when I want to lie down. Perfect!

Of course, that means the desk would have to spin. Rather than me sitting in a revolving chair.

Wow, that sounds familiar! Except mine is strewn in one room, not four. This room is my bedroom, living room, vape room, and even partially my kitchen (I have a frig in my room).

It's taken me a while to get set up, but I don't get around very well and I have to try to keep my head supported most of the time. I'm just glad I found the table/desk. It was my second try, and the too small 1st one is by my bed. Not cheap, but totally worth it.

The hard part has been to convince the cats to sit still on my lap. My typing hand is also my feline ear scratching hand.

Expensive enough to keep people like me that really don't need it from buying it. But, cheap enough to be doable for those that really do need it.

I'm glad you got yourself all set up so well!

Good luck with that!
