Older Folks and Vaping Front Porch - Part Four

I wrapped 7 coils last night. I stopped when it occurred to me that I might want to actually use some of them first since I was wicking a little differently this time.

My first coil (at 2.6) will probably be ripped out and replaced before use. 2.6! And, it was horribly slow to heat up. But, I just couldn't make myself do it last night. Three tries was enough.

4 coils at 2.1-2.2 and 1 at 1.7 and 1 at 1.8. So, other than that first one, not bad. For me, anyway.

Sounds like you're losing track of turns, DH. Same turns on same diameter (with same gauge wire) should all come in darn near the same.

Or are you using different gauge wires to test the difference in performance?

This thing just jumped from .36 ohm to .58 ohm which is closer to what I thought the build would be. I changed batteries just to be sure my battery was not going bad; and its still reading at .58

Scary but the Sig has a shut off feature and its not doing that or giving me a warning reading of any kind.

Easier to just go here Coil wrapping | Steam Engine | free vaping calculators and plug in what you're working with and want. I agree, that 2.6 is a bit high to start. I generally recoil when they get much over that, so starting there is, for me, not where I want to be.

Yep, and the "all things being equal" is the key - same gauge, same diameter, same "tightness" of the coil.

When starting to build, it's probably a good idea to try different values on all the above, to see what YOU prefer. Take notes! Then it's simple.

I used my original Tugboat V2 for the first time in a long time. Wrapped a 1ohm coil at 3mm and hit that with 25w clouds everywhere. Not my style but had to try out some juice in a hurry so that's what I got it for. I am not a cloud blower although it is kinda fun every once in a while. Probably could've hit it with 35 to 40w and would have really done some clouds. Dripping is not my style.

I prefer to mellow. Unfortunately some of those around me are victims of their own fears and outrage...
And mental illness too.
I wish ears had mute switches on them.

Just vapin away on a STM at 14 watts with some mild Hangsen Desert Ship tobacco mix.

Some hot cocoa does sound nice.
Finished with breakfast and kitchen cleanup.

Just gave it another try at 28w wheesh. This thing is set up for dual coils can't imagine what it would be then could hit it with 50w. Single coil makes me dizzy. Might have to try it later

Most of the funnels tips are either too big to fit in the top of the bottle, or too small the let the juice flow. I know angled tips help the flow. I may end up getting a small one & cutting the tip off at an angle where it starts to widen in the funnel. I'll mechanic it.

Google 'flask funnel' ... you should get plenty of hits for small SS funnels starting around 2 bucks.

One of the carry out kids at Walmart carried out my stuff last month & had a wooden box mech & rda in his back pocket. We talked vaping & now he comes over to carry my stuff out for me when he sees me in the store. He.s only 19 but started smoking at 14 & is now vaping 3mg. He goes to the Community College next tp my apartments. He's a real sweetheart.

awwwwww so great he got off the cigs already, and so sweet he always comes to help when he sees ya.

That's what I was thinking too but thought I'd ask when someone mentioned no to aluminum. I was thinking about a flask funnel, I'd think the end would be small enough, to fit in a 30 ml bottle, what do y'all think? Those flask openings seem pretty small

Did it jump when you first started vaping with it? I always pulse my coils before I wick them and that can change the ohms a bit, if you didn't it might have changed some when you started using it.
