I was looking at that orchid v4 on there. Wondering why it is only 4.99? Just thinking of hardware stockpiling. Yeah, after the worst vape day for me. I actually washed my stm 3x and made 3 coils. The taste all day was bad, but like they say...third time is the charm. Thank God! But yes, this has nothing to do with my need to stockpile stuff. I did get really frustrated today on the taste. But at last, problem solved.

the ones I got a week ago from there did not have the circular cutouts but just round. Actually look nice with a stainless STM.
The thingy sits flush on the Kbox Mini and the STM sits flush on the thingy.
All solid no wobble at all. And no thread wear on the Kbox Mini.
FT called them heat syncs. Whatever, they are The Jettisons cool-looking. Using them as for saving the threads is brilliant.
Boogie board mostly. I lived in Orange County. Glad you folks got some water, when I left last year it was dry as a bone.
Been here 25 years and never seen it so dry. Most of our trees died, it's heart-breaking sad. The past 2-3 days we've had over 5 inches of rain, even an unpredicted stow storm last night. Not complaining, bring it on!
Been a tough couple of weeks for keeping up, so I've mostly skimmed.
In case I missed anyone..

You and me both. To any new porcher, a most heart-felt welcome! Come join the party. Beware the rocker cushions.
Is this where I am supposed to "correct" her? Can't do it. When ya have a bunch of critters (whether ya calls yerself a farmer or a rancher), ya essentially have nailed yer foot to the ground. Ya just can't be gone anywhere for more than a couple hours (unless ya have enough money to hire a caretaker - we don't). In the first few years, we used to go shopping together (one day per month to stock up) and actually had lunch together at TGIF, but now I have to go shopping alone while Wifey stays here to manage any potential crisis (if none of the critters actually has a problem, one of them will invent a problem just to get Lannie to run around in circles for awhile). ;) In any case, as she said, we haven't had "a day off" since we got here and, unless I win the lottery, it ain't likely to happen in the near future either (and someone keeps telling me I can't win if I won't buy a ticket - darn - how come I can't just find the winning ticket in the parking lot?). Oh well... so much for Mr. Persnickety correcting her...
Hmmm, apparently my El Whacko (our dog) is kissing cousins with your critters. Go figure. Do they like the smell of the vape also?
Haven't been around for a few days. I've been under the weather. You guys move fast on here. I got some catching up to do!

My vape story started the first week of May 2013. We were visiting my in-laws and my mother in law turned me on to vaping. She was very convincing that I could quit smoking as she had. So, I bought a starter cigalike. And within a few days I stopped buying cigarettes. I then moved onto egos. From there I got an eleaf istick 20w, and nautilus minis. After a few months the darn thing was stripped. Went to a 50w istick. Now I have a subox w/subtank mini.

Needless to say, now I diy and also mix for my mother in law to pay it forward for the wonderful gift of getting me to quit cigarettes. I will make sure she will always have what she needs, especially since we have talked about the fda regulations. She would end up going back to smoking if she couldn't vape and there is no way I would want that for her.
Your MIL is a heck of a woman. You are a heck of a DIL. Bravo to you both.
I just cannot get over how they can call something that holds 4ml of juice - a mini... How much juice does a maxi hold 30ml...
Me either. Maybe they are confused with those over-absorbent tampons from yesteryear? Wonder if you can say that on here.
I was just looking at vapor bank. Wondering what to start to add to stockpile.
Anything you might want to use even if you don't know how to do it yet. Durable things. Seems you have the nic hoarding, er, collecting, down already. ;)
That's a catalytic converter for your gerbil's Corvette! What'd I win?! :D

I made 10 ml of 18mg juice in case my father decides to drive while we're up visiting next week. (I vape <6mg) :D

Got mine in an extremely sturdy box. Otherwise, they forgot the packaging/padding. Rattled like heck but the items were sturdy and no harm dome.

I ordered a blue Kfun, they were out of the others, but they sent a plain ss one! It was my first choice but was out of stock. Couldn't be happier. Had a tracking number in under two hours. Impressive. I'm happy, though I feel kind of bad getting over $165 of stuff for under $15 shipped.

I don't have a mind so no worries. :(

Damn you, thought you were talking about your wife (Hope she, and you, are recovering at a phenomenal rate.)

Tried it, doesn't work. :(

I was going to ask if someone had, but then I saw you were online. Congrats on surviving another close cal! :D

In the 30s here to in California, but we got well over 2" of rain today! Don't live by the ocean though, they were warmer. Waves are probably pretty good. You a surfer?

I miss you Wolf. Drop by more often. Please.

Hi Tutu

Sorry yes I should.
Been lapse on a few things in life lately.

Well yesterday I questioned why a mini could be called a mini if it held 4ml of juice... So today I notice a tank that is called the Goliath - I wondered how much juice it would hold - 5ml...:?:

So, now I know - the name of the device - has nothing to do with the size or capacity of the device...

So if you take out the air adjust screw and then the center post, you can't see through? I'd think the center posts is what goes through and holds the deck.
Correct. Reposting the picture. On the other V4 there is a hole in the center between all the coil screws. Pardon my shakey drawing....

I'm still thinking that the center post - which should be drilled down to the air intakes at it's bottom - missed a step in manufacture, so replacing it might be all that's needed.

As I understand the V4, you need to remove the air adjust screw from the bottom before you can remove the center post. (The block will then come loose as well.)

That's what I fear. What do you want for $3.99? A working atty? That's why I ask, OK, I ask! if anyone would be willing for me to send them the deck and they would drill it out. I don't expect much from Vapor Bank, but I will give them a chance.

Edit: geesh, a replacement build deck from Fastteck is $8.40!! Well, if nothing else I have spare parts for the working one.

It looks like it is the center post cliner, part#14 in the diagram and that's the part EBates linked to at Fastech. I think I've even seen parts kit's that include that part.

It would be tricky to drill out as the other end is threaded for the air adjustment screw. But it worse come to worse, you can send it to me and I'll give it go.

Well I don't think much of Fluid Vapes customer service. It was the sale that took me to their site ... but based on their customer service I won't be going back any time soon.

On Jan 4th, I emailed them about an issue w/ one of the KFL-Lites I received. It's now Jan 8th and I've heard nothing back. I just left a contact msg via their website. See if that works.

At the sale price ... maybe I'm expecting too much ... but geez ... is it too much to expect a response. /end vent

It's useable but the air adjust screws just spin in their holes ... can't screw them in or out. It may just be a spare parts atty.

OK, I took a needle nose pliers and removed the main deck screw. Hum, that may be the problem.
Kayfun v4 sealed deck screw.jpg
It should be hollow but it is not; it is sealed at the deck side end. Ah ha!!!! I even think I have one of those screws in a Fasttech order I am waiting for that has shipped. Ordered lots of various screws.

Woo hoo!! By jove, I think I may have it. Thanks so much everyone!! I will report back if I get the fix.

I know I just read somewhere here someone (DH?) was having problems with a Kayfun V4 and airlfow, but I'll be dipped if I can find anything anywhere!!! So, I'm going to ask....

I got 2 V4s from Vapor Bank (plus a bunch of simple drip tips - I don't know why I love those things!!). Anyway, today I cleaned, dried and built one. Watched several videos on disassembly/assembly/building. Everything went fine, but when I go to vape - no airflow. Nothing, nada. I took it apart several times, removed the air flow screw. Assemble piece by piece and check. With the build and bell, nice airflow. Tank on - get airflow. As soon as I put the top cap and a drip tip on, nothing, nada, like I'm sucking on a plugged pipe. Tried several different drip tips, still the same. No drip tip, same. Nothing.

I put it away for now, so frustrated. Any suggestions (especially the magic - you dummy! - solution), greatly appreciated. Good thing my hubby left today to do some shows in SC and VA, cuz I never could have spent the whole afternoon fighting with this thing. Wake up - ya gotta make money!

But based on where you 'show' the problem to be ... I still can't understand how you had airflow at the intermediate 'test' stages and just the 'problem' when you put the top/drip tip on.

Woo hoo!! Just heard from Vapor Bank. Since it was a manufacturing defect, they are sending a new one!! Already got tracking. And I get to keep the faulty one! Which I now know how to fix thanks to my friends here ;):banana::banana::lol:. Wow, I did NOT expect that from such a great sale!

Me either, but I think the "air flow" was coming from the juice flow holes, not true air flow. So when I sealed it with the top cap, it cut the air from the juice flow holes.
