I got a call on the answering machine. I'm sure they just screwed up. Understandable. But calling and offering credit instead of just refunding... classic bait and switch tactic. Which leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth for MFS.

OK, I received my vape mail from the Vapor Bank. Everything I ordered was packed safe and secure. Now I am trying to figure out the pipes. Is there a secret to getting the battery cover off? I finally had to resort to using an eraser to get them off. It was still a very long process. Also, can I use any tank on these or do I have to use the clearomisers that came with them?
I was having a hard time with mine also. Until I accidentally did it by pressing so lightly when I turned that you might not even call it pressing. More like just laying my finger on it and turning. It turned very easily.
Just received a phone call from David at MFS. He's gonna be making a lot of phone calls!! The web site was wrong, 200mg should not have been there (for wholesale customers only) and the price was wrong for 100mg. I had them just issue me a store credit, cuz I know I will use it! But I really don't need it right now, so store credit.
VT TH for $25 is looking better and better.

Raining outside.

Ain't it great to be sitting in a nice comfortable chair with your favorite juice, a fresh wick and a fresh battery... How much greater can life get???
Favorite juice, fresh wick, fresh battery and 1.6 billion dollars?

I was offered a choice between a refund or store credit to use in any way I choose. Including repurchasing with the discount. MFS is a good, reputable company. This was a screw up in their system, there is nothing shady going on. The fact that they are actually calling the people who ordered says a lot. They could have just cancelled all the orders & sent a mass email as other companies have done..

I returned their voicemail on the same issue. They said that as of Jan 1 the DOT won't let them ship 200 mg without taking a class 1st and that class isn't until March, so the 200 mg shouldn't have been on the website. They were heavily in favor of store credit but I preferred a refund to my card, so that's what I got. I think the reason they like the store credit is because a charge back (at one time) looks bad on them to the credit card company (or something like that - hey, I'm goin by memory now :) )

No, no backcharge means they've lost sale with no assurance that the customer will return. A store credit mesns the probability a of continuing customer. This is routine retail business practice. I promise, whoever let that price & the 200mg slip through is working the phones today, & might be out of a job. And customer service is always a priority with a reputable retail business. Without it, you won't be in business long. I've handled innumerable customer service issues. This was a huge problem for them. There is no way they could legally ship that product or take that big a financial hit. Seriously? To fill ALL of those orders they would have to give away one liter for every liter ordered, plus give the discount on both. That's not anywhere near the reasonable expectation ballpark.

I!m outta here.

Yeah, I definitely wouldn't want to be that person!

I was just passing along what I read, not busting MFS only. I've bought from MFS since 2009 and have never had anything like this happen. So, yeah, I trust them enough to continue to use them, but never really trust a business (and a lot of people), to tell me the whole truth. I've had to do quite a bit of customer service in my time, and you never really can tell people EVERYTHING about a particular situation. I am sure that the different explanations that everyone got is a little piece of the entire puzzle, otherwise how could you trust someone with all those different 'reasons'.

Back to this part of their explanation....Does anyone know when/how the rules changed for them? Something that got snuck in on us? Some law change that people were aware of, but I never saw on ECF? Did the DOT just decide to update their rules and can they do that with anything? If any of you know of a law change, I'd like to hear about it. This may be a sign of future rules?

Ah ha, another victim!! Er, I mean porcher. ;) No, really motor, WELCOME!!! Here you will find a group of people with knowledge, experience, compassion and caring. If you have any questions, just ask. Someone here probably knows the answer. Might not be the right answer, but it could steer you in the direction of the correct answer.

I agree. I have purchased from them several times through the years. And yes, the fact that they are actually calling people as opposed to a mass cancel/email says a lot for customer service. The person I spoke to gave me my options, I chose the store credit because I know I will purchase from them again. We even both got a chuckle out of that. He was very polite. I am sure these people are getting some nasty responses that are just not called for. It was a mistake and I would not want to be the person who made that mistake! I, for one, think they are handling the situation very well.

I know changes are slowly taking effect on both State & Fed levels. This could be from DOT in their state or Fed either one. It's hazardous materials handling for above a certain level of nic

I am also too stupit to do multi Quotes.
For me, it is easy, well, once Deb told me how to do it. I don't have a problem on my laptop, however, my tablet is another story.

If the cover is magnetic, it comes off pretty easily. For screw-on, apply generous pressure and turn. Once off, noalox on the threads will help them work better next time.
You can use any 510 connection. I usually use Davide tanks on mine, just because they look nice.
It is a screw on and has dimples in it. Except it is very slick and was even tough with an eraser. What is noalox? I have never heard of it.

I think the 18650's are full of that phlogiston.

Yep, it's the magic smoke that you should never let escape!

What is noalox? I have never heard of it.

A connection paste, technically for aluminum to copper electrical connections, to prevent electrolysis from damaging the connection. But it works well as a conductive thread lube. Most hardware stores have it, in the electrical section. Unless you're in the trade, look for the little tube :) Just a tiny bit, applied via cotton swab and worked into the threads, is sufficient.
