I would never ask for help finding something without googling it first. I wind up on a page with a download link, but at some point I came across the online version of the calculator without having to download. I forgot to bookmark it, though. Maybe it's on that page and I'm just not seeing it.

As you are further away from cigs your body will tell you when to reduce your nic. I started at 24, after several months it just felt like "too much" somehow. I was already aware that I wasn't vaping as much as I had been in the beginning. Hard to describe, but it just felt like each puff was too much. So I reduced my nic to 18 & that feeling stopped. I didn't vape more after the cut, or have cravings. A couple of months later I just decided to drop to 12. No go. I immediately started chain vaping. When that didn't stop after 2 weeks I went back to 18mg, & have stayed there about a year now. I've begun mixing at 16mg as I make new juice, so I'm etween 16 &18mg. I'm not concerned about lowering my nic really. Other than to make it last as long as I can.

I started out much like you and when I started to DIY I went down rather quickly. The result was a huge amount of liquid intake per month. I had gone all the way down to 3mg, but have gone back up to 8mg for my tanks that produce allot of vapor and 12mg for my tootle tanks. I have been considering just mixing 12 for everything and may even go back up to 18mg for my very restricted draw set ups. 12mg is very satisfying to me which keeps the urge to smoke away. Surprisingly or maybe not surprisingly my older gear is better for me than the newer. I get a more satisfied vape from a carto tank and 12mg than any lung hit type atty I have. I will still use all different types to keep things interesting but I know what I need to grab when that urge hits.

I used FlavourArt Vanilla Bourbon flavor for the first time. It's very good, vaping as good as it smelled and tasted. My new rule of thumb:

Part 1: any flavor that smells good, and that drinks good when a small amount is mixed with water, will always make a tasty vape joose.
Part 2: any flavor that doesn't smell good and/or doesn't drink good when mixed with water, might or might not make a tasty vape joose.
In other words, the nose and palate test can give a false negative but never a false positive.

I used a final PG/VG ratio of 50/50, nic at my usual 18 mg/ml, and the following flavorings to make Dave's Joose #60:
5% FA Orange
3% FA Vanilla Bourbon
1% TFA Menthol
1% TFA Double Chocolate

I always make 100 ml of joose, so that percentage is equal to milliliters.

I have to tell them the strength of the flavoring before I know what the flavors are? I'm fairly certain I won't want to go more than 10-15 percent on most flavors, but I'm sure there are some recipes where the cumulative amounts are more than that. So you are vaping 70 pg, is that how it works?

Probably 18-21. I'm moving down from 24 (only quit cigs a couple months ago) so I'm kind of alternating between 18 and 21. I can do 18 but find I wind up vaping more, especially the more tasty juices. I'm trying to be mindful of what the lady at my local shop told me: Don't worry about cutting nicotine right now. Concentrate on doing whatever it takes to staff off the cigarettes. Wise words, I think.
Mike, I'm sorry I didn't reply, yesterday. It looks like you decided to go with Wizard Labs, so this may be meaningless.

The Nude Nic to which I was referring is for beginners and lazy people (like moi!). It is pre-mixed PG, VG and Nic, at your desired Nic level, assuming light, medium or strong juice (10, 15 or 20% flavoring). The reason they ask flavor level is because they want the end result to be at the stated PG/VG and Nic level - so the base you get actually has more VG and Nic than the juice will end up. Here's a link - it will explain better than I! Casual Nudist Nicotine Base - Nude Nicotine

It is only available in 30/70 (PG/VG) and Max VG. I order the 30/70 at 10% flavoring and 6mg Nic. What I make is 20-25% flavoring (yup, I like highly flavored juice!), so my juice ends up being closer to 60VG and 4+ mg Nic.

Nude Nic does have Nic in PG, VG or both, as well. I have a few liters stashed away :).

Finally, fully agree that more Nic is better than less Nic as you're transitioning. However, if you are a cloud chaser, perhaps consider less Nic for high powered set ups. On the rare occasion that I vape at 30-40 watts, I use 1.5mg Nic. My usual 3-4.5 would make me so dizzy I'd fall flat on my face! (Yes, she does speak from experience...)

Bells, I found a bottle of FA Vanilla Bourbon in my stash. I added a bit to a custard base and Yummo!

It seems to me that the FA Vanilla Classic is stronger than the FA Vanilla Bourbon, but tastewise, I don't find much difference between the two vanillas. I'm going to make some joose with two flavors I haven't vaped yet, FA Vanilla Tahity and FA Butter Rum. I like to put menthol or mint in just about everything so I'll add some of that too. I'll let you know the results soon.

I put in a pretty big order at Bull City, last night. Vanilla Tahiti was one that I ordered (along with about 30 other flavors!). I've been vaping Ahlusion's Pineapple Cream with "Breeze," a very light menthol. Tastes just like a pineapple slushy :). It's the first juice I've ever liked with menthol in it. So, I also ordered a few different pineapple flavorings and Koolata (sp). We shall see!

So, I stopped by my local vape shop yesterday to pick out my random bottle of "treat myself" juice. Ended up getting a bottle of something called "Sweet Nipples" by Vapegoons. The description was "Honeydew Pop Rocks". They let me drip a little into the Stumpy to taste test it, and I liked it a lot! Then, Trent (the shop guy) asked if he could see my mod. I had brought the SX T-Mod with me and he'd never seen anything like it. He was super surprised at how well it performed with a 1.08Ω coil at 50W. We talked about building coils and wicks and stuff for about an hour. Apparently they don't get a lot of builders in there... most of the people that come through there just use Atlantis heads, according to him. Anyway... it was a fun little visit and I got a new juice to try (and hopefully reproduce :D )!

On another note: @3mg Meniere, I have an old Orchid V2 and the plastic tank is cracked. Would you happen to know of a glass replacement, or what glass from what tank would work? I figure if anyone would know, it would be you! :)

Kaz, I know of no glass tanks available for Orchids that are not set up for glass. Sorry. I checked VU's Orchid modification megathread, same answer there. @TheWestPole is majorly into Orchid modification.

Thanks Darlin'. Maybe I'll just take some measurements and play around with it. There's bound to be something out there that'll work, or at least something that can be modified. Thank you for checking! :)

Has anybody seen the Wismec Theorem tank? It uses a fancy pre-built coil, but it's an RTA. I thought it was pretty interesting... may have to pick one up at some point.

I checked MVS, but they're out of stock... they go for $25 (give or take). No idea how much the coils cost...

I have the Theorem on my wishlist! Looks great.

I'm kinda thinking about just picking up one of the coils when they become available and putting it into an RDA. Might be a good way to try out the coil without having to get the whole tank... ;)

Yeah, that coil looks great and should last a long time. With the current subohm crowd being a big market, I wonder if they will have them in my 1.5 to 1.7 range.

I doubt it. That one is SS, but even if it were Kanthal, I think it would still be pretty low resistance. I'm not sure if it would be feasible to make a coil, in that style, that would be in the 1.5-1.7Ω range.

Dave's Joose #61:

4% FA Butter Rum
4% FA Vanilla Tahity (I know how to spell Tahiti but that's not what's printed on the bottle.)
2% FA Spearmint

I'm vaping it within minutes of mixing it. Even with no steeping, it's sweet and YUM! The Butter Rum is a pretty strong but very good flavor, tasting very much like butter rum, which it didn't when used as a drink flavoring. The Spearmint gives a lovely tingIe and the Vanilla Tahity plays smoothly in the background. I give myself and FlavourArt an A on this joose.
