Yep they really come in handy if you have a lot of medical problems and different doctors. Everything is online these days with every doctor we go to and you can print out your lab results from one place and fax them to another. Especially handy when you are dealing with private docs and VA docs. They don't seem to communicate well. Most of the civilian ones can look at each others now days though.

Yeah my supplement picks up everything that medicare doesn't cover up to their allowed amount so medicare picks up 80% they pick up the rest even my deductibles so the VA bills them and they cover some things my supplement picks up the rest of what they cover and VA takes care of the rest.

You are only saying that because you have not been around long enough to know that nobody listens to Iffy - especially when it involves nic and what is the best way to distribute it to all your new friends... :):lol:

Actually, it turned out that I solved the nic storage problem another way! I just gave a couple longtime good friends about 15lbs of the blueberries I had stashed in the little 5cu. ft. freezer. Also then pitched some things and moved some others around...in the side-by-side fridge/freezer, too. That made more than enough room for the fish I brought back and for the last L of nic I'm going to order this week-end!

But, I'd have taken Iffy's suggestion in a heartbeat if necessary! We Floridians tend to stick together and don't lead each other astray very often, if we can help it! :D

not nuts. That is the way they work everywhere. When logging in to the kiosk, they are required to confirm/update their insurance. Otherwise, the Govt. cost for VA benefits would be astronomical.

Yes, the VA bills your insurance if you have any.

You can also install any of numerous pdf printer "drivers", many free. Then, any application that can print, you just select that driver and it will make a pdf for you, that you can then email.

I have learned that a lot of that depends upon the location of the VA center.

Yepper, that and the local VA administrators. Years ago, Bay Pines VAHS, near St. Pete, had an horrible reputation; much better now.

Although I do not utilize the VA medical system, I know of many vets that go to Bay Pines that are very pleased with their healthcare.
