You may be filling it a bit too full. Try filling it just above the halfway point. Or it may just be that using paws rather than fingers with opposable thumbs could be the cause.
My battery box (just prop back up a little so that newly charged batteries can be dropped in the back and roll to the front to be used again):
From left to right:
14500 flat-top
18500 flat-top
18650 flat-top
18500 button-top
18650 button-top
IOW, REO batteries on the left and Provari batteries on the right. I ran out of room for the 18350 button-top.

Mr. Charleton had a huge pink mansion right off 21 and OSR, I got to see it right before they tore it down. Wild. We are watching scary rented Redbox movies tonight. Eek...love the gourd, love that face!!

I remember the place. Who could forget it? I haven't been up since Ike hit & I wasn't vaping then. I've just passed my 1 year mark on August first. My friend up there can't believe I was able to quit smoking!The Gulf station building is still there

Are you sure you're turning the juice ring at the bottom closed before filling it? When I forget to do that mine leaks.

Works out nice doesn't it. I've got a similar setup for our batts.

Wow, Matt! I could've sworn you were wearing vampire teeth in that pic!!! Thank you for making my Halloween so ultra-special! Since becoming a vaper, I have spent more time laughing without setting off a coughing fit than I ever had in the past!
My friends told me I sounded like Muttley when I laughed because of chain smoking! I squeaked and sounded a lot like a guinea pig, too!!! I was always using my inhaler and was constantly smoking!!! Happy Halloween! My better half and I are watching Frankenstein tonight! Oooooh, spooky!

Sure go ahead and ask me. My neighbor was an orthodontist and he paid fer da tree house lumber. Matt covered my neighbor's cost da first time he fell outta da tree!
