Can you explain the difference. I just got my subtanks recently so I might well have the V2.
EDIT: The holes on the sides of mine are big. I haven't had any flooding issues doing the wicking like Rip trippers described in his video on building what I assume is the V1. The cotton ends up covering the holes on the inside quite well.
The only time I see anything resembling flooding I suspect is me filling the tank too full and some getting in the air channel. Right after I fill it I get a couple of drops that seep out of the air flow adjustment holes. A quick wipe and that is done with until the next time I fill the tank so it is not an issue for me really.
Mine are V2s. SO to answer Legs question I don't do anything special and I do not get gurgling/flooding. I just wick it the way Rip Tripper and PBusardo did in their videos.![]()
On the left is the V2, on the right the original. Original has small juice holes at the bottom, some have filed them bigger. And some have drilled side holes.
The original screws down, like a Kayfun. But it's very thin, and gripping it tightly to remove will deform it and make it nearly impossible to do so! Gentle touch to remove, and just seat it when assembling.
The V2 is held with a set screw - and don't make that tight, just snug!
(And no clue or recommendation on Tbec, just the first good comparison pic I found!)
I am not a You Tube lover at all , i really hate watching videos and much prefer to figure things out with a pic tutorial . I like Phil because he's actual "normal" , being normal is a good thing imo , very rare these days though .

I just can't pay attention that long , they are wayyy tooo long . When there is loud music thats an instant no go as well , i think if your part of this current generation you will probably love these videos , i grew up during the 70's and 80's , you know when wearing a pair of pants around your waste was the "in" thing to do .
Just different times.
Have any of you used the Kanger subtank mini V2 rba deck and could you give me suggestions and thoughts on them. I was perfectly happy with the old ones once I learned how to use them and had no problems whatsoever. Just wondering about the large holes on the sides now and how you go about wicking so you don't get any flooding.
Yes it is HURT ME. Thats a heck of a deal. The new one that is coming out isn't that much different. I'm not sure how they are selling them at that price cause YiHi sets the price.@2legsshrt ... You're an SX guy ... just thought I pass this link along. Is this the one you use?
