I agree that most devices are going to be shelved. But I do think companies like Sigilei, iPV, Provari and quite a few others have enough money to have one or two of their best selling models tested. We will see prices go up for sure. I also think the same for attys, if they fall under the law. Models like LEMO2, Kayfun, TFV4 and some of the other best sellers are candidates that may be tested along with a price increase. The prices will never come down again and most devices will never be tested. To expensive a process for most companies.
I worry that even with FT there will be problems at customs. Some things will get through but it will be a pretty big risk.In this day of falling prices for hardware, I found Copper Nemesis Mod (Logo-Free) Didn't order it, because of $$$ concerns. Will need to wait. I am betting that FT will be unaffected by US gov't vape policy changes.
Yes, I am worried about that, too. So many if's.I worry that even with FT there will be problems at customs. Some things will get through but it will be a pretty big risk.
The thing is JDC is all these companies sell worldeide and vaping is very popular all over the world so why pay gazillions of dollarsto get things tested here when they know they are up against big money they sell plenty everywhere in the world. i've talked to guys in most of Europe, Russia, Egypt they are still going to make plenty without having to put up with the BS the US is trying to do. I don't think we'll see things like they are today again which is a real shame. With all the advances they have made especially with TC plus they want no flavors to be allowed but Tobacco and Menthol. They are looking out for the kids. I mean look what they have done for them so far. Sending them to far a way places to be mamed and killed giving them booze and cigarettes we don't want them trying this nasty vaping stuff. Agreed many people are not responsible vapers, by that I mean blowing clouds in public places but they have been able to turn much of the public against us using lies and the media is right in there too. They really don't want people to quit smoking it's not cost effective for them. We'll look back on this and say remember the good old days when you could get good stuff and it was cheaper then smoking and better for you. Not perfect but better.I agree that most devices are going to be shelved. Companies want our money, and those that have some to spend will invest in their product and offset their cost with price increases. We will lose out on some popular models, but some company may invest in a similar model that is new and improved some time down the road. When they finally do have to comply, Its not going to be close to anything we are seeing now with five to ten new models being put out every month. The landscape will change drastically across the board once compliance sets in. I don't understand how they can call pieces of metal with electronics in them a tobacco produdt. Weed is legal in this state but not without about a 75% tax.
I am hoping for the best and companies figure out a way to get our dollars. I am thinking they can make things harder and more expensive; but they cannot completely stop the almighty dollar when there is a big market out there to garner.
Nic solution is my biggest worry. That type of cost cannot go down; and if they make it comparable to stinkies expense wise, that’s just really going to suck.

I understand what you are saying about the world market. But the U.S. market is huge. We are the 3rd most populated country in the world and have the highest per capita income of any of the top ten most populated countries; and that income of the others who are in the the top ten is not even close to ours. Them losing our market would be very similar to them losing all of Europe! It doesn't matter it will still be counted as a tobacco product. Nic is not a carcinogen, it's all the other stuff in cigs. I only use 3mg but that's just for taste, it does make the juice taste better to me. I tried Omg but I like a little bit. So it only takes 3ml per 100ml of juice with 100mg nic. I can make a lot of juice with 1200ml of 100mg.I just ordered a gallon of 90mg 50/50 nic solution. Hopefully by the time I finish it I will be down to zero nic juice.
It kind of matters. If I buy my own VG and PG and make my own without having to buy nicotine. I think its the Nic content materials they are going to gauge us with as well. If it has nicotine in it, expect to pay a higher price. They cannot stop us from buying PG and VG and I don't see them hurting farmers and bakers by making those products a tobacco product. It doesn't matter it will still be counted as a tobacco product. I agree and think many current vapers would be willing to try DIY. But the potential new vapers who want to try and switch will be turned off by all the hassle and expense. The way it stands now, if it's sold as ecig liquid, it's on the list. I do agree that some of the components won't be, i.e. pg and vg, resistance wire, and such.
But how likely would you, me, or anyone be to switch from open and light to learning how to diy juice just to see if you liked it? (And potentially black/gray market hardware... or diy hardware - voltage regulators won't be banned, either.)
Those of us who have already made the switch are, at least for vaping, doomsday preppers.
But when will the new rules kick in?If you buy overseas (no matter the country) and it's confiscated... you lose. Or the company loses. You won't buy again and if the company does reimburse you for the sale, they lose. More feasible for them to just stop selling.
