A sophia is basically a rebuildable replacement for a carto that works in a billett box or carto tank. A Diver is another version though not as well liked.
Thanks, Myrany. I hadn't heard of a Sophia or Diver until I got a BB, last year. Cartos were before my (vaping) time. I didn't know these attys could be used in a carto tank. Cool! BB'ers liked the Sophia, but said it was dicey to build, and didn't produce enough flavor. Most who used one went back to the Billet Bridge and BVC coil. The Uno seems to address the concerns noted with the Sophia. I'm hoping it's the bomb; I'd love to stop stockpiling BVC coils!
What is the deal with all of these mods and tanks going mini or nano? I like a big tank and a hefty mod, just me.

If you're referring to the BB, it actually holds a whopping 6 mls of juice! That's one of the things I love about it. And the thing is indestructible. And cute :). But it's definitely a throwback. VV, from 4 to 6 volts, in small increments. No read outs of any kind. Not suited for sub ohm or direct lung. Push button; vape; smile.

Let me know how you like it. I need to know it really, really good and easy to use before I put out that much money. But, it does look promising.
I will, Dancing. I debated, given the cost, and then decided to give it a go. Beckdg's review put me over the edge, especially when he said it was too flavorful. That's an oxymoron, in my world!

Question for you TC users. What is TCR? Temperature Control R?
And the setting is for all wires in that category no matter what gauge or type of coil. The higher the number the better it is for TC. Nickel is .00600 Ti is .00366 Kanthal is .000002

For me, those hefty mods and big tanks are uncomfortable to hold. I have a couple of Erlk's that I like because they're light, but mostly I go for nano sized tanks. I also change flavors multiple times in the day so nanos are convenient too.
I always use Kayfuns now. I have couple of KF Nano's in the rotation, too. I don't hide when I vape. Ever. But then I don't vape in public places where I wouldn't smoke. Except the Dr's office & I use unflavored there. And I giggle a bit while I'm doing it. [emoji41]

Still a little pricey.
I've only heard good thing about Nude Nicotine. No chemical taste, no peppery taste. I've made two order from them but have yet to actually try it. I like that it's bottled for long term storage and don't have to transfer into bottles. I'm buying it on faith but also on the recommendation of people I've learned to trust here.
That link worked? Now if FT only included a cross reference for screws & what atty's that would be great.
I don't even want, need or use anything with with screws that might need replacing and their lack of such descriptions drives me nuts.
Good article - Thanks - now if someone would listen...
Ain't that the truth. :(

Haven't been around in a while, nice to see all the familiar faces and the new ones, too!
I've switched to TC and lovin' it!:thumb:

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Good to see ya, hope you stick around this time! As Mike (I think) said, we've got a couple TC gurus here. You can join them in confusing the stuffin outta the rest of us!

I can hardly wait to get home either. I'm just mentally worn out.
You get to go home today right??? Hope so!! hope you get some really great rest this time!! Also hope you can get a fix on the issues you're having!

Interesting link in an email from Les Leung, the man who started the big petition about the deeming regulations. From The Rolling Stone - interesting read.

E-Cigs' Inconvenient Truth: It's Much Safer to Vape
didn't read the whole thing, but read a good bit of it! Great article, thanks for sharing it! The thing that just irritated the crap outta me was where it said that (some number) of vapers had gone back to smoking out of safety concerns with vaping. Really???

Except the Dr's office & I use unflavored there. And I giggle a bit while I'm doing it.

Jup that's fun huh!!

Birdy so sorry you had to go through all that, but so glad it's fixed now!!

Been offline for a few days, but really hope everyone has the most blessed Christmas and New Year ever!!! Huge hugs to you all!!!!

Some (many?) believe the anti-vape hype. You know, diacetals, exploding batteries, unknown chemicals in the vapor....

Rather than do their own research and finding that diacetals are optional, chemicals only released if burning things (and gagging so you can't inhale!), and that laptops and phones use the same type batteries and need the same precautions....

Yep except for the laptops and phones. in laptops and phones the safeties are built in. You can ONLY use the battery that is proper for that phone or laptop in it.
Over discharge, etc protections are also built into the battery packs.

yes they may go into meltdown but explode?

I've seen 3rd party batteries (of higher than factory capacity) for some phones... and there's now a plethora of USB battery packs for additional run-time / on the go recharging.

And there have been laptop and phone fires - but no body is going back to paper tablets and land lines.

Over-discharge is also built in to all regulated mods. But then, if one is a competition cloud chucker with a penchant for self-immolation.... provides a different perspective on "going back to smoking"!

Yeah. I have some mechs for emergencies. On the shelf. Not really a fan. Too many downsides to me and really a PITA to use. (Nothing to do with explosions) Regs are just much more easier to use and control.

But those weren't around in 2007....
No but they will likely be in 2017.

edit: Ohh the Deeming thing.
Yeah back to cigalikes... Hope not.
But not for me. I am prepared pretty well for vape zombies.
Just a spare tank parts purchase from FT to go.
