With the most incredible bipartisan support, SB-6328 passed the Senate with a vote of 37 yeas, 6 nays and passed the House with 74 yeas, 20 nays. Now the bill moves to Governor Inslee's desk and awaits signature for official passage into law.
If signed into law, SB-6328 will focus on youth prevention, best business practices, and statewide uniformity. Stay tuned to Pink Lung Brigade as we closely monitor the bill through signing and will ultimately break down the particulars of the bill once it becomes law.

I think they have the wrong ratings on those IMO, I find closer to 24 watts is where I like 'em. I've seen many other people saying they use 'em in the same range. Of course even at that they drink juice faster than most of my gear.

When I started vaping I didn't know about ECF. No B&Ms around here. I really struggled for five months. I did luck into a coffee juice I really liked quite by accident.
Started with an ego battery and a carto tank. Finally read somewhere I should bump to 24mg and that did the trick to get me off cigarettes for good. Five months after quitting I joined ECF and the learning really took off. I "moved up" to a tank similar to the protank and a spinner (essentially an ego with VV). I'm still happy with that tank and even the Spinners, use them on trips. At home I use a ProVari 2.5 with the same tank.
If I were to give any advice it would be to concentrate on the quitting and have easy, basic equipment while learning. You always, always, always want to have gear backups in case one breaks, is lost, whatever. The learning curve is insane but you will get it. You have many knowledgeable people here on the porch willing to help. I know you're feeling overwhelmed right now but it won't last long.

Hi all, you are so right about getting overwhelmed! I'm going back on to you tube and watching videos tha really break it down into understandable terms. Coils, resistance, ohms, etc. also found a Brisbane based group on Facebook. Trying to establish a conversation and get some guidance from local retailers [online) as well, but so far, they are all suggesting I watch you tube videos. One joy tech model was suggested, but when I watched the video, it assumes I have a knowledge base that I don't . And was full of interchangeable parts and button toggling. So I'm just going to try to get it on YouTube . I think ,for me, I don't want to have a new hobby, it's a necessity to stay off smokes. So I'm going to keep it simple as possible and learn what I need, I hope.

As passed by both the Senate and the House, if we have to have a law, it's not too bad. If the Gov signs it, it is the law, so may be harder to generate any "movement" to amend it later, i.e. next session or beyond. Oddly enough in our State, the Gov can sign it, veto it, or do absolutely nothing, in which case after some amount of time, it becomes law. No "pocket veto" here, aka doing nothing so it fails.
And there are actually some decent things in it - it bars local governments from regulating vaping in open air public spaces, with a few (semi)reasonable exceptions, and specifically allows tasting in vape shops.
Since both Houses have already passed it, they can't add more stuff as a "gotcha"

Two or three batteries and a 2bay charger would add another $35 to the cost. The benefit, IMO, is that you don't have to wait for the mod to charge; just pop in a new battery

It is soooo easy to get bogged down in terminology when you're starting. A good thing might be to get a notebook, and write down terms and what they mean. I did this with all the CE clearomizers there were, and when I'd read one, I'd look it up so I knew what it meant. I don't try to understand what resistance is really........cuz I don't need to understand how it works etc. Some folks like to understand it but I have limited brain cells, so that is something I don't need to know. Someone correct me if I'm bein stoopit here, but my understanding is....ohms and resistance are BASICALLY the same thing. To put it very simply, it's the number that's on your coils. 1.8 ohms, 1.2 ohms etc. With a mech, the lower the ohms are the higher your watts will be based on the charge of the battery. That's all I need to know about it for now.
Watts are the power that the battery sends to the coils, more watts = hotter vape and vice versa. That's about all I need to know bout that. I do know some more about it after nearly 4 years, but starting out with a regulated mod, that's all I really needed to know.

But the basics can be very simple and the notebook helped me so much by allowing me to write simple definitions that applied to how I would use it. You may take to all the technical stuff easier than I did, but if not, that's one of the problems with watching a lot of videos.
If you like a cooler airy vape......go for some type of tank that has good airflow control and that has coils that are probably at least 1.5 or up. With your difficulty in getting things shipping cost etc, it might be a good idea to get something like a subtank that can go higher ohms or sub ohms for later, and is easily rebuildable for later on, but has stock coils you can get for now. Others can verify if the subtank, or another one fills this bill.
I would absolutely get a mod that has replaceable batteries, as birdy said....good batteries and a good charger takes care of safety. I recommend RTDvapor for batts, but there are some other good ones too. xtar chargers are more often recommended as being better than the nitecore intellichargers. You can get a 4 bay, or just a two bay for now and a 4 bay later....then use the 2 bay as a back up charger.
For now you have a device that is working, your biggest cost savings will be to make your own juice, and although it sounds complex, it really can be so simple! Essentially if you can bake a cake, you can make juice. You follow a recipe and measure then add ingredients to a bottle. I want to get a scale and start doing it by weight, but for now the only "equipment" that I use are a jar, pyrex measuring cup, 60 ml syringe and some 1 ml syringes. Most of my bottles are ones that I kept from buying juice. I would decide on one thing to focus on.....and learn that. Then move on to another thing. You know how to vape with what you have, you've been doing it for a couple months.
Maybe section off your notebook with a juice section, mod section, battery section, tank section etc. When you find a nugget, write it down. Or different word processing docs if you prefer using a computer. Maybe that can help simplify things.
A note book is a great idea, I think one of my biggest concerns about going vw, is that you have to know what resistance your coils have, and then what wattage your battery puts out, and do calculations to know what to set it to. A lot of them here don't seem to have a wall adapter, they're all usb, which won't work for my set up. Did find one how to that actually told you what to set it to, that's the kind of shortcut I need to know. But if I'm reading everyone right, WV is a good thing to have. I have 2 of these edge things, got 2 more vice models from vaporfi as back ups, but they are also sub ohm with no wattage control, argh. I'm going to make a short list of possibles, ie, have how to videos that explain the use in simple terms. Still hoping to find a shopkeep that will help. I'll get there. My husband pointed out that there's no need to panic, if people were blowing themselves up with these, they'd have been recalled, hahaha. Tried a mystery sample today, butter popcorn ,maybe, gross!this is also excellent!!
