Someone please tell me what I did. I got FT vapemail today. Five sets of kayfun parts to turn five of my Orchids into Kayfuns. One base was defective. The tube in the inside of the inside airhole was projecting above the block. I put a coil on it, and it was an open connection. I fixed the projecting tube by putting an o-ring under the block. Reassembled, and now it works. Why did that fix it?

If it wasn't so far up that it contacted to coil, probably don't need that o-ring.

Sometimes the 510 pin doesn't make a good connection to the source, hence open connection. Taking it off and putting it back on may have been what did the trick.

Perhaps the center tube didn't screw in as 'far' so the end toward the PV's 510 is sticking out a bit more and making contact to the PV's now.

Oh and that BBerry was a coil gunker but was worth it for the flavor.

OK live and learn it looked like it had 2 battery caps on it. So it is just a P3 in a box mod.

The Radius goes to 40 watts, the P3 goes to 30 watts. I think it has a higher amp rating too.

Yep I see the Cryon goes to 50w. Maybe the Radius will have an update to make it 50w.

Anyone being tempted to get a Provari P3 ... you ain't gonna beat $99.

Edit removed link. Vape360, Provape person posted this in the P3 thread.

Hmm, something suspicious on that one. Appears to be a clone. Buyer beware.

Especially when you so often see stuff like this....

No Link Between Anti-Smoking Drugs, Mental Health Issues: Study

A few paragraphs in... (emphasis mine.)

"The study was requested by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration due to concerns about the safety of the drugs used to help people quit smoking. Funding was provided by drug makers Pfizer (which makes Chantix) and GlaxoSmithKline (maker of Wellbutrin)."
I call bs. Chantix was originally developed as an antidepressant. Therefore it made to be psycoactive. I took it for 3 days & had to stop. It made me happy to the point of hysteria.

Vape360, a Provape person, posted this in the P3 thread about that deal.

Hey whats a good place to take your computer to get the fan replaced. I think I am going to have to do that. Should I use a local guy seems like I've heard something bad about the Geek Squad.
Best Buy. They had geeks.

Fan replacement is a piece o' cake. But if unsure, do a local 'craigslist' search and make a few calls. Da 'Geek $quad' is gonna rip ya off. My mid-daughter spent allll tooo much monies$ on a simple fix wid her XP a few years ago.

Pardon me, but gonna spew a lil' bit here re vape?'s issues...

Please, don't further confuse/frustrate/overload her at dis point! Just let her limp along wid what she has 'til she experiences her new combo!!

I know we all earnestly want to assist her. But, her most important goal at this time is to find a fav flav/nic level and avoid da 'bakky; especially after she receives her PIF!

Also keep in mind dat $hipping to da 'down under' is brutal fer her, regardless of da item!

One of my fav observations re da ECF is it's like trying to take a sip o' water from a fire hose! Unfortunately, she was 'hosed' from her gitgo. Lets back off a bit and let her find her 'happy vape' at her pace!

As I posted earlier, there are a few here dat appreciate her dilemma and I personally thank ya'll. Let's just give her a rest and a lil' 'room'. Together, we will conquer her challenges!

<sigh...> OK, back to your regular 'programming'...

Yes might work not sure. I have done it with the coils in her new setup with good luck I only comment on stuff I have tried only been vaping for seven months so don't want to give bad advice. I have seen people on some forms say stuff is bad then come to find out they haven't used it. Don't see how you can advise people on things you've never used unless you state that it has bad reports.
Although I agree with you in principal I think for her at this point there is very little reason to invest more money in the old system so she has little to loose by trying it with old coils she would throw out anyways.

Once she has the new system she wont need the old one except in emergencies.

@Vape? I agree about the Provari. I was on the list for the first VW mod they came out with. It was a V1 and they made a mistake in that it wouldn't vape lower then I think it was 2 ohms or higher, I had it converted by them for $20 to a V2 and it is still working perfectly. I have that one and 2 V2.5's one is still brand new. The V2.5's work in volts not watts but has never been a problem. I also see that vapeking.com.au sells the Nautilus coils for 2.75 au each Which is about $2 us. Might be cheaper then ordering from US with shipping. I think they also have the metal caged tanks for them and the entire assembly. I have never bought from Fast Tech. I don't really know anything about their products I've always bought authentic. I also don't like the Nautilus mini not enough airflow for me. The mini and the full size use the same coils and it looks like all they carry is BVC's that price is for 5 or more and they come in 1.6 and 1.8 ohm. And the Provari if I was to get a new one it would be the Radius which is a box type but it uses 2 batteries instead of 1 and fires down to .3 ohm coil. Pretty too.
Is much cheaper if I can avoid shipping. Roughly half of what I spend on vaping is the shipping.
