Are you saying that the miniscule RBA is easier to build?! So, as hard as it is to even see, it's the only reasonable option. Or, of course, just don't bother to rebuild for the nautilus/Kabuki at all.

It's such a shame. My Kabuki clone is so yummy.

Have you ever rebuilt a regular Aspire BVC (the non-nautilus BVC)?

I have a Billet Box and Billet Bridge. So, it would be nice if the non-nautilus BVCs might happen to be halfway easy to rebuild.
Those are even smaller than the Nautilus coils.

Anyone here have a beard?

After I retired I grew a beard, I tend to vape with my mod vertical, close to my chin. Lately I've been getting beard hairs from just under my bottom lip caught in the slight gap between the tank and the drip tip. Only happens with Protanks. It's kind of annoying, not to mention painful. Guess I could hold the mod more horizontal but I'm used to the other way.
I have a full beard and had the same problem, except it was with my mustache. I keep it trimmed and hold my mod at about 45 degrees, problem solved.

Wow! That 25lb much less the 105lbs that"s what, 75lbs of fish? How much rock fish did you get?

Well, it's hard to say how much actually came off my 100-105lb. and 25lb. halibuts, but it was a huge amount of the total weight caught. The 3 of us caught the fish on the right of the red line in the first photo below (my 25lb halibut is hanging behind my big one, and is barely visible). All of what we caught was divided up evenly by the processor into (3) 50lb. boxes (including the box and styrafoam cooler weight). So each has approx. 48lbs. of fish in it. Plus I have another smaller box with about 10-12lbs. of just halibut in it.

Here's pics below. First is of all fish the 5 on the trip caught, with what the 3 of us caught being on the right of the red line. Second one is me with my hand on my big one!

The only 'non-rebuildable' coil I rebuilt was the Aspire Vivi Nova top coils. Janet and I teamed up on those. I wound and installed the coils and she wicked 'em.

The VVTF is a good idea and I haven't totally given up. It's still laying on my work table and I'll eventually give it another try. My take on the Kabuki is plug and play ... I was looking for something that vaped well that I didn't have to rebuild. I got interested in the VVTF in case the supply of Nauty coils dried up either do to the deeming or Aspire no longer manufacturing them.

Jeez I bumped my juice up from 3mg to 5mg or at least 30ml of it. Sheesh it's almost too much in this KF. I'm such a wuss. I thought wow this thing almost has too much flavor and I'm hitting it too much if I add .6ml of 100mg nic to 30ml of juice it will be 5mg according to juicemeup. Well I'm not hitting it so much.

News flash ... it has "postibilities". My 1st attemp might have been user error. I took it apart and saw a lot of juice in the base of the Nauty under the coil-head. Remember I was getting a lot of flooding and gurgling. Well the top threads of the VVTF aren't the best and a bit touchy to screw into the post inside the tank.

So when I assembled it I screwed into the tank threads then screwed all that into the base. I don't think it was sealing in the base section properly. I just cleaned it all up and screwed the VVTF into the base then into the tank section.

It seems to be working OK now for a 'first build attempt'. I did have to go to 20 watts not my normal 14 watts to get decent vaper but then the coil Ω is 2.0 not the 1.6Ω I'm used to at 14 watts.

More later ... off to do some grocery shopping w/ Janet now.

Send me the cheeks please.

Sorry, no can do. We cooked about 5 pounds (filet + cheeks) that we kept out for 4 of us to use fresh. Only 1 of us cared for the cheeks. So I gave the other 3 of them from my halibuts to the hotel maid!

Yepper, dat's da way ya do it! 'Head' hard finger tight in base; tank just tight 'nuff to seal (aka don't muscle it down). Although rare, occasionally check to insure da cap/tube is tight on da tank top.
