My little 5cu. ft. chest freezer needs to hold 1 more L of 100mg nic (besides the nic already in it, as well as the blueberries, sweet corn, and peas I picked before leaving on vacation).

Well, I got plenty of blueberries, corn and peas, but I can always use more nic... Currently driving through Fl - just give me a date and time to pick it up...:D:lol:

Poor baby! Just send it all on to me. I'll take care of it for you.

Naw, you are to far away - I can drop by in a jiffy...

Of course ya know I'll offer to relieve ya of a lil' fish!

Okay, you can have the lil' fish - I want the halibut... :w00t::lol::lol:

@DancingHeretik - next installment re: the VVTF.

I recoiled the second one with another vertical coil. This one is spaced 6 wrap of 28g Kanthal on a 2mm mandrel. It ohm'ed out to 1.23Ωs. Wicked it with not as much KGD as I did the 1st one. This one I'm using w/ a Nauty mini.

It's working really well, comes to temp nicely at 14 watts. Produces a nice amount of vapor w/ good flavor. Even Janet said it tastes real good.

I'm starting to think these 'def' have potential if your willing to strain your eyes finding the slots in those tiny screws. And you'll need a really small size precision screwdriver tip. On set of mine the smallest was still too big.

I'm not sure what's up with the 1st build. It's on a standard size Naugty and even on the largest air hole the draw is not a loose as it should be. Now that the 2nd one is working dang good I'll have to take the 1st one apart and try again w/ it.

I've actually never had a Nauty tank taste so good. Maybe it's the cotton. All my Aspire Nauty coils are still the originals w/ I think silica wicking.

... never had fish cheeks, but have heard that at least with some fish, it's the best part. Halibut has always been my favorite fish! my dad used to get it sometimes when I was a kid.

Have yet to have a bad fish cheek/collar! Fishy cheeks, 'nother story... Yepper, dey do have a more 'beef' texture. But like any seafood/beef, DO NOT overcook 'em...

Truth be told, most seafood I'd rather eat raw vs. abused! <Anyone ever tried raw shrimp?>

holler at me when ya git home. I need to do a quick hangout with Mrs Semi :)

Coming from the lady that thinks Purple should be the designated country color...
it isn't??????????

not me. One, I have texture issues with raw proteins. Two, with seafood especially, I just don't trust gulf and some other water pollution levels.

I know yur not pickin.......and yeah I know that stuff stinks too, but I gotta eat sumpthin...... at least I can and do cook the crap outta other proteins. That doesn't help with GMO, but at least it gets rid of other stuff. Can't believe these chefs are servin and promoting slightly pink pork these days!!

Now I know who JC is finally an end to the mystery for me. I also know that Valdez is not that far from Anchorage.
I know it looks that way on a map, but ya gotta remember those maps are tiny. :D
The reality is that Valdez is a bit over 300 road miles from Anchorage and it takes about 7 hours of drive time to get there (if you don't stop to pee ;)). :thumb: Then there's mountains, waterfalls and sight seeing to consider. No one said it would be easy but it shore is purdy!

Believe me they aren't cookin the stuff we can get at the grocery store. Same with the beef. They use quality stuff that is probably way above our budgets. It probably tastes great too, when your paying the price. I was watching an Iron Chef and the pork they were using was $600 a pound from Spain.

I think you're right on that, Mike. Wicks do impact the flavor. But, why not rayon?

I'll get to rayon now that I have a decent cotton one vaping. My experience w/ rayon on a conventional coil was it has to be tighter/denser than cotton. I though it would be easier to use cotton at first.

@Kenna ... Flamingo is visiting her parents and asked me to pass this along to you.

"Been keeping up with the FP but having major problems with the laptop. It keeps crashing, wiping out stuff. Could you let Kenna know I have a funny corgi story that (at best) dovetails with TSA and my ongoing struggle to trip them up with vape gear disguised as a pipe bomb?"

Well, it's @Flamingo Tutu, so there is at least a hundred ways that story could go, & they'd all be hilarious!

Wow, that's some big fishies!

Yes, they were! My 105 pounder was the biggest one I've ever caught, and...the hardest 1 for me to bring up, too! I'm no spring chicken now! :D

Didn't care for the cheeks. Man on my trip to Kodiak ...he cooked them up with eggs for breakfast. Man that was eating for me. Loved it.

Nope! They're too stringy and chewy for me, even though we cooked them the same way. I prefer the flakey filet pieces much better.

Awesome! So much fun (& work) right there!

Yes, it was! Took about 10 minutes of slowly reeling in to get the big one up to be boated. Captain had to use a bang stick to get it into the boat without it possibly injuring anyone by flopping around. It still didn't want to give up easily at all.

Wow, looks like a good time for all.

Well, for 4 of us it was. My brother's granddaughter (the 16yr old cutie in the pic) ended up getting horribly seasick! It was her first tme charter fishing and even with the patch behind her ear...the good-sized swells and rough water for 3 hours while coming back in, finally did her in. I felt really badly for her. I think the only time it's "fun to be green"...is if you're Kermit the Frog! ;)

Great pics!! never had fish cheeks, but have heard that at least with some fish, it's the best part. Halibut has always been my favorite fish! my dad used to get it sometimes when I was a kid.

Yea, most everyone told us the cheeks were "the most prized" part of a halibut, but we didn't agree. I'll take the wonderful, pure white, flakiness, of the filets anytime!

Well, I got plenty of blueberries, corn and peas, but I can always use more nic... Currently driving through Fl - just give me a date and time to pick it up

Thanks for your kind offer to assist with the nic, but I'm not even home yet. We're back in Anchorage until this afternoon when we fly out to Seattle, then on to Orlando on the redeye. Once home...I think I'm going to take Iffy's suggestion for the nic. :)

Have yet to have a bad fish cheek/collar! Fishy cheeks, 'nother story... Yepper, dey do have a more 'beef' texture. But like any seafood/beef, DO NOT overcook 'em...

This was the first time we'd tried any "cheeks". Cooked them same as I did the filets (beer-batter dipped, deep-fried). Just didn't care for them at all.

EEWW!! Raw seafood! Not me...never.

OH! Forgot to mention that I checked out a vape shop here in Anchorage yesterday afternoon. Had lots of hardware, and some brand of juice the guy kept trying to talk me into buying, even though I told him I only use my DIY liquid now. Was Murdock's or something similar. Said it was a premium liquid made locally by someone. Didn't buy any, but did at least buy a small zippered battery carrying case from him. He also said tax on vaping materials in some parts of AK was 55% already and possibly going higher!!

You didn't get at least a sample of the infamous Mad Murdocks juice. He sky rocketed to fame a couple years back w/ his Pluid Juice. A thick dark green very very liquorish tasting juice. There were waiting lists, back logs, etc. trying to score some at its peak of popularity.

I believe he was active Navy stationed in Alaska when he came to fame.
