Depends.

If you decide you prefer them over what you're using now, nope. ;)

If they're going to be vapocalypse box items, maybe. A few extra poly center sections, maybe some extra M5 (full poly tank piece), assorted o-rings, and some rebuild kits (screws and insulators - FT) all you need.

Unless they're shiny.

Thanks. that was exactly the info I was looking for. I'll try to pick up those parts you suggested. Can they be picked up locally? I've never used FT.

I just got these tanks for fun. I've read so many threads where people were praising them. My long term plan is based on a box full of Protanks and Lemos. Didn't spend much money on that, there were a lot of sales of both. If I really like the KFL's and they are still available I might grab a few more. Can't go far wrong at $10 a shot.

There is something else I need to look into, that being coils for the KFL. Is there a thread around where I can find ideas on what coils to use?

I picked up a color kit for my RX200. I was able to get Purple for the mod just to be different. What I need to do is find a durable paint to repaint the areas that have been worn bare.

buy auto paint online, use a mini sprayer or do the 'dip' technique..i am looking forward to some creative painting once one of mine wears thin.

Oh my, I luv patina (aka character) on cherished devices!
Looking at it with the new color on the front face and the battery cover puts me in mind of an old car. The owner could only afford to paint the hood and trunk. I may just leave it be and when all the black is worn off it will be ok.

KFLs don't use "replaceable" coils. They must be built on the deck. You can buy pre-wrapped wire, but it's not a "screw the old one out, screw the new one in" kind of topper.

Just tired from a busy, exciting weekend. Business sucked, but the show and friends were GREAT!!!! I'm going to sleep tonight!

If you're talking about the KFL-Lites, there's this thread but it isn't very active any more.

Kayfun LITE - Part 2

And what about 'us'. We're right here w/ plenty of KFL experience. Ask away. I'll start. For both Janet and myself I wrap w/ 28g Kanthal on a 2.5mm mandrel for +/- 1.5Ω coil. It's wicked with rayon. I vape it at 14watts and Janet around 10watts.

Gotcha. I watched some youtube videos and it looks quite similar to the Lemo. Placement of the screws and so forth. I should have them by the end of the week.

Right on. This thread is like its own forum.

I've started a file for cutting and pasting coil suggestions. This is entry #1. I could look it up but what's 2.5mm in real measurements?

Don't know if this has been posted yet but Sen. Johnson got his response from the FDA, finally. Of course it was only a response, not the answer to his questions.
Sen. Ron Johnson Finally Gets A Response From the FDA - Vaping360
this right here is the truly freaky part.........
That regulatory framework will evolve over time as we learn more about the products. Now that FDA will finally have regulatory authority over these previously unregulated products, the Agency can expand its knowledge base regarding these products”

they admit they know nothing about what they're regulating! I'm glad he's interested in helping, but he needs to get some friends and do more than write letters.

Yay!! This is Debadoo approved!!! :D
