Yup, quite true. But it is possible to get them close enough that the burn-out time difference is negligible.

Was given an Orchid over the holidays (can't decide if it was payback or revenge from my neighbor v-vert...) and popped in duals to get 1.3 on the circuit. Vapes fine, but boy does it go through juice! :vapor::vapor::vapor::vapor::vapor::vapor:
Would run on a Vamo, then, but just barely. I am just not up for the frustration. I get a satisfying amount of vapor with the singles.

I switch out often, and my built-up adapter only adds 5/8 inch to the length, stays in place, and is holding up well to the abuse.

Did a dripper build the coils on the last one must have broken ohms went 0.5 - 5.5.

This one is 0.4Ω its not that even but on this atty you can't glow the coils and squeeze them together - just snaps the wire.
Its functioning good.
26 gauge 2.5mm 5.5 wraps.

Can get wraps 2 onwards reasonably ok but often get a gap between the first and second wrap , sometimes i'm able to squinch it together a bit.
Or unwind the first wrap and try to wrap it closer but then you have a bend.

Lemo is still going great 1.8Ω in that one.

Just wrap a couple of extra wraps, that way you can just unwrap a couple at the ends and have a nice tight coil left. At least it works for me. I end up with a closely wrapped coil that glows center out mostly even without squeezing.

Hi Matt,

I just made a batch of this, and it came out pretty well. Tastes pretty good without any steeping:

  • 3.4ml TFA Juicy Peach
  • 0.6ml Ethyl Maltol (5% in VG, so you could sub 0.3ml of 10% in PG, and add an additional 0.3ml of VG or PG)
  • 2.1ml TFA Sweet Cream
  • 1.5ml TFA Vanilla Swirl (TFA's Vanilla Custard flavor without the custard notes)
  • 3.6ml nic, 100mg/ml (I use 100% VG based nic)
  • 18.8ml VG

This makes 30ml of 12mg/ml liquid, 23%PG/77%VG, 25% total flavor. It's basically this recipe for Dragonfruit Swirl, but with peach instead of dragonfruit. Let me know what you think, if you decide to try it!

Also, my Orchid is now showing as left Hong Kong for its destination, as of Jan. 7!

Thanks PapaSloth, I'm going to have to order some more flavors but, was planning to anyway. I have peach, but not juicy peach and I understand that there is a difference.

Age and use will affect the actual current (amp) capability of the battery. So even if they charge to the same voltage, one may be "weaker" than the other. Voltage will drop under load, and if they don't drop at the same rate, one will then have a higher voltage and the current balance is thrown off. As the load on them continues through repeated vaping, the balance goes further off.

How far off turns it into a catastrophe? Don't know, and don't particularly want to do the experiment myself :vapor:

I understand. I was speaking of new hardly used batteries. Wouldn't think of it with batteries that have been through more than a couple of charge cycles.

Is it true that the Lemo leaks when laid on its side? I read that in one of the blips at the bottom of one of the forums, I think it was the KFL forum. I was thinking of getting a Lemo and a Lemo drop but I don't like leaks. None of the tanks I use leak and I don't want one that does. I also haven't looked into spare parts for them.
I think any of the Kayfun type attys will leak if the fluid level is low enough for a juice channel to be "exposed" when horizontal. This would allow for the vacuum to be "broken" and hence juice leaking out the air hole. When they are full or full enough when on their side, the juice channels aren't as prone to "compromise". This has been my understanding and what I have found from using Kayfuns as well as the Lemo. I don't have the drop, but they operate on the same principle. I really do enjoy the Lemo and find I'm favoring it over my Kayfuns. And for only ~$30 a pop they are a great deal. Hope this helps......

Welp, you guys were right when I asked about taste on the back porch. I received my MVP20W and Mini Nautilus Monday. They also sent a sample of a juice called Honeydew. I have never been into any of the fruit flavors in juices, though I love the actual fruits themselves. When I vaped the honeydew in the Mini it was a game changer. Guess I will be exploring fruit flavors now, lol.

Oh! The Mini is just what I have been looking for. Without going into a long story it actually gives me taste of things now. The only dry hit I had with it was the first 3 puffs when using it the first time. Did have one accident because I didn't know how all the parts came apart. I tried unscreing it from the MVP holding the glass and it came apart where the glass meets the bottom and juice went every where. Live and learn, lol. I think I will be buying more Minis for all the different juices I cycle through every day now.
I use the hollowed out replacement tanks on all my Nautilus, big & mini's. Go to the Aspire site to research them. That glass breaks if you knock it over, or drop it. They have different steel tanks, & they make refills a breeze!

Um, if they're low enough to expose the juice channel, they probably don't have enough juice left to leak...

My Kayfuns have never leaked. Well maybe a drop or two but, that mostly from around the fill screws. Even the ones with the o-rings seem to leak some after you smush (technical term) the o-rings a few time tightening it.

There are numerous online, android and probably apple calculators. And there's really two formulae to deal with, Ohm's Law (E=I*R) and Watt's Law (P=I*E), where E is volts, I is current (amps), R is resistance (ohms) and P is Power (watts). Simple to remember and use if you spent 45 years as an electrician :)

Now, as to your specific question, said 200 lb male of that stature can obviously vape 5.26 watts. That's weight divided by height with the result divided by ohms. See? Simple

Dang it! I got 6.26 watts! Clearly I messed up the math somewhere. :). Ought to have known you were/are an electrician. I think I'm doing well if I can get the light bulb to screw on in one go! Now if you were to ask me about SCOTUS law, I'd be a bit more useful...

I stopped using the KFLs because they piss juice out on top of my mods. Not a lot, but enough to piss me off. Got tired of always wiping the top of my mod and the bottom of the KF. I'm changing all the o rings out but since I stopped using them I'm not real motivated to do it. I switched to the Taifun GTs, Erlkonigin and K4 which don't leak at all. Both my KFLs are originals and I had 3 R91s but have re homed 2 of them to a friend in need.

Never fussed with it. Started with coils between 2.2 and 2.5 on fixed v. Switched to spinners, then to Vamo. Now 1.5 is the lowest I will go. I let my choice of hardware figure it out for me. My brain can cope with the math of building coils and mixing juice. I refuse to challenge it with Ohm's law.

Amen!!! KISS it for me too. all this other stuff makes my head hurt.

As long as we all vape safe that's what is important. What worries me are the teenagers (primarily) I've seen and heard in vape shops who have no idea what Ohm's law is. They tend to jump in with both feet simply wanting the biggest, baddest clouds possible and bragging rights for the lowest ohm coils..... Just my observations and not an indictment of sub-ohm vaping.

did you see the thread a guy wrote the other day about getting kicked out of a vape store. The sales guy (dumb kid) was telling folks who knew nothing about vaping to get a mech and an Atlantis cuz that was a great set up for newbies. The customer told the couple that wasn't a good set up for newbies, they needed a lot more info on battery safety etc before sub ohming on a mech mod. The kid went beserk, screamed at him, told him to leave the store. The couple left too, and he talked to them outside.

I don't deal well with leaks either. I know they happen at times, even my aspire bdc leaked one time, not sure why. Leaks are right up there for me with dry hits!

I call this the vaping baptism! Mine happened early on in my vaping, and I ended up with a lap full of strawberry pie. I sure smelt purdy! My nephew is headed for one. I keep telling him to grab the bottom ring, but he never remembers. He'll learn. :D

Say who has the most reasonable bottles like the 100ml glass. Also I remember seeing a site that has spare parts for almost all RTA's. I'm pretty stocked up and since I use real Kayfuns there is a site in Germany that sells every part of the KFL if you should need to replace them. They even have the build deck. Intaste.de

Not sure about other folks prices, but I've got some in my cart at Amazon. Here is just a search I pulled up for you to look at, see what you think. 120ml yielded more results than 100ml

Amazon.com: 120ml glass bottles

I think I'm doing well if I can get the light bulb to screw on in one go!

Jup!
