Taking a guess for long term storage how much difference would there be in storing the nic in the fridge compared to freezer ?

Have the current lot in the freezer but most the time freezer is foolish.

Also for the nic with vg how thick does it go in the freezer , nothing letting it sit at room temp for a while won't fix ?
Letting it warm to room temperature brings it back to the same consistency it was before you put it in the freezer. No harm done. I have 2 liters of 100mg/ml nic juice in VG base in my freezer. It will be around 6 months before I need to use any of it.

Regarding coils: it's only logical that spaced coils are harder to space evenly than tightly wrapped coils that are touching each other.

I pass by a Home Depot on the way home from work. Every time I pass it, I think 4/40. But, since there's no exit for that street, I just keep on driving. I feel silly going out of my way to buy one single 4/40 machine screw.

So, yesterday when I wrapped another coil, it was compressed as usual. It's just the easiest thing to do. And, it came out to 2.0 ohms. Perfect. I've still wrapped so few coils that every single success is a big deal.

You're going to have a heck of a collection of knitting needles. I assume those came out of the knitting budget.
No. I don't make socks. Can't justify it. I already have a nice collection, but I haven't knitted for years. Crocheted more recently.

In fact, if anyone wants one, maybe I can enter the entire purchase into the gifts column of my budget. Creative accounting!!

Ya know, it never occurred to me to use knitting needles! Much easier than stopping at Home Depot every time I lose a gizmo :)

Oh I will I already have a Kanger the 25mm. I just read in the Lemo thread that some people have problems but I posted the same question and there are a lot of people that have no problems at all so I'm not real worried. Like you told me since I'm not going to use the subohm part of the Kanger I'm paying for stuff I'll never use at least the Lemo is an RTA from the start not a 2 way.

I told you before just buy the darn thing.

Sent with no malice and not a whole lot of forethought from my new Galaxy Tab 4. Thanks Santa!

I can get tight coils by making a bunch of them and using the needle for storage, with rubber bands on the ends to store them compressed. The needle I had been using was 2 mm, 2.25 was the smallest they sold, so I will try this at 7 wraps rather than eight to get my favorite, 1.8 Ω

EDIT: I just figured it out!!! I didn't grow up to be a baseball player, president, or anything like that!
I grew up to be a rebel! Or an activist.
Yeah, I vape, and the government wants to regulate it out of existence
I just paid for a quad copter - which the government wants to regulate out of existence
and I just paid for a 3D Printer - which the government wants to regulate out of existence

seems like anything I'm interested in, the government doesn't want us to have.

So... this is all YOUR fault!!! :(

Anyone wrapped around a screw to get a spaced coil ?

Can get a relatively close coil with usually the outer two wraps needing to be pushed in.
If going for a spaced coil I find it hard to get the spaces even , if that matters.

Yes.

:)

A 4-40 screw is almost exactly 2 mm, and can give a really nice spaced coil.

I also find that, after annealing the kanthal (torching) - and with a bit of practice - that there's sufficient "spring" in the wire that by controlling the lay of the wire as you wrap on, say, a screwdriver, it will often "pop" back out to good even spacing. While keeping it tensioned, wind against, but not into the prior wrap. And, of course, don't heat/compress after.

But the screw makes it really easy.

Just get a small package of the longest ones you can find. Easier to hold onto!

I like the idea of that Master Coiler that Busardo showed on his Kanger review. I wonder how good that $8 one is from eciggity.. Only thing not sure how it would do making a spaced coil. Thats relatively easy on a screwdriver. I like how fast you can make microcoils though. Probably about 5min faster then I can do on a microscrewdriver.

Well my Lemo's left Honolulu yesterday. I figure the free shipping should be pretty fast since I live on the West side of the US. I took the free shipping from MFS and its out for delivery today. Oh and my new computer battery from Amazon is supposed to be here today. And the Culligan Man. Busy day. Need to rewick my V4. Seems like when I wash it out and rewick it it's just like new again. It was a lot of money but it has been a fantastic piece.

Lucky you, I got nothing from them.
That was just the Kayfun parts. I got another email this morning that the Koilers "have shipped", which only means they've left their facility to go to the Golden Void Of China.s Postal Shipping. So I figure another 2 weeks before I get mine.

0mg head to the craft section at someplace like wal mart. Where they have needles they also have "Point protectors" which are just rubber stopper looking things that push onto the ends of knitting needle to keep your stitches from sliding off when you are not knitting. Cheap and reuasable for years. Might be easier than mucking with rubber bands all the time. :)

I would definitely pay more for higher quality and to not get a peppery flavor, but is it?

I've yet to get any peppery nic from da various on-line vendors I've ordered from!

That's good! I hate black pepper, and the first juice I ordered (other than a few 3ml samples) was 24 nic, and it had a big time peppery flavor. That was what sent me back down to 18, but for 8 months or so I really had a lot of cravings, til I finally tried 24 again from another company and that worked!

Jup, a vacuum sealer has been on my "I want one of them" list for years.
