Well I did a new build this one 26g 10 wraps 2.5mm 1.3Ω I tried to do it spaced.
Normally Ive been keeping the wire real tight as i wrap and wraps close together. This time more loose.

spaced-w.jpg

Yes all over the place but it does function. Glows from inside out all through even the motley wraps at the ends.

I checked it on the ohm meter and then put it on the mod and got a reading. Then I fire it and nothing happens and Im uh a dud then I fire it again and after a while it starts to glow.
I was using the same watts that normally with a coil of this resistance would glow it up fast. This one takes a while to get going and then its fine.
Normally the wraps are touching or very close together and this time there are spaces but I thought same ohms and same watts would take same time to glow.
Its been going good for the last hour.

My God my Vapor Shark got shipped.

Yay! I'm still waiting on a KFLv2 I ordered from EVcigarettes that was shipped from Jacksonville, FL on the 13th. Usually get orders from that area in 6or 7 days. I know there was a holiday Monday but still. It hasn't even made it to the N. Houston depot yet. Once it gets there it'll be another day or two to get to my box. I emailed them & they went ahead & started a search through the PO for it. But it has to be 30 days late before a claim can be filed. I will not order anything that has to come from Forida in the future. It's just too long to get shipments, & nothing updates between Jacksonville & North Houston. Maybe it's on a truck the whole time, but deliveries are being made off that truck & things get lost.

In a contact coil, the wires heat each other and the heat is concentrated onto a smaller area of wick. So, the whole thing gets up to boiling temperature faster than with a spaced coil. You're producing the same total amount of heat with a spaced coil, it's just spread out more. You'll need to find a new wattage that works well with your spaced coil, so don't be afraid to boost the wattage. This will ultimately allow you to produce more vapor, but without burning the juice.

That was just the Kayfun parts. I got another email this morning that the Koilers "have shipped", which only means they've left their facility to go to the Golden Void Of China.s Postal Shipping. So I figure another 2 weeks before I get mine.

I ordered some stuff last month. Shipped from FT on the 1st and it has been sitting in getting our "stuff" together to ship since. Jeez!

Sent with no malice and not a whole lot of forethought from my new Galaxy Tab 4. Thanks Santa!

EDIT: I just figured it out!!! I didn't grow up to be a baseball player, president, or anything like that!
I grew up to be a rebel! Or an activist.
Yeah, I vape, and the government wants to regulate it out of existence
I just paid for a quad copter - which the government wants to regulate out of existence
and I just paid for a 3D Printer - which the government wants to regulate out of existence

seems like anything I'm interested in, the government doesn't want us to have.

Have mercy on us all and stay far, far away from cheesecake.

0mg head to the craft section at someplace like wal mart. Where they have needles they also have "Point protectors" which are just rubber stopper looking things that push onto the ends of knitting needle to keep your stitches from sliding off when you are not knitting. Cheap and reuasable for years. Might be easier than mucking with rubber bands all the time. :)

Yeah! Got those, too! At least some darned thing is gonna go well, today!

Which way maximizes flavor, contact or spaced?

I did too! :D Might get here before the first day of spring. Yay for small miracles. I'd forgotten half of what I had in that order.

Um, try both and decide?

Keeping in mind that we all have randomly damaged taste buds, I prefer spaced. I think there's more flavor...

And I think, too, that with compressed, there's less ability of the juice to actually get to all sides of the wire, since it's not supposed to be completely under "water." Although, surface tension being what it is, it might not make any difference in that area...

Randomly damaged about sums it up! Sometimes, the same juice on the same build at the same power has no taste, while at other times, it tastes Yummo! If that's not random, I don't know what is.

I've never tried the spaced but Mike said he was. I have been really happy with the microcoil with the Kanthal 28awg 8 wraps 2.4mm 1.5ohm 10w-11w

Trust me, that chick has nothing on Rachel Welch, or her undies.

Humble apologies for this, it didn't come out the way I meant it and makes me queasy not to clarity it. I was sticking up for an old Hollywood icon. It's always been natural to me, perhaps from being around animals so much, to see the beauty within, corny as it sounds. If they are ugly on the inside, they look the same outside to moi. I'd rather be friends with a pile of vomit that had a wonderful, kind personality but would probably vape a lot of vanilla cupcake around it.

I LUV my FoodSaver! Been using 'em for over 30 years. I'll never be without one.

Sign up for THEIR 'specials' notification fer some great deal$.

ETA: FS machines and containers make super gifts for young and growing families! Just ask my daughters...

We've been thinking of getting one of these for a long time. Would this be a good one for moderate to low use? The FoodSaver® Starter Kit Hadn't thought of using it to store nic but seems like an excellent idea.

You know I learned something today. I use a trackball and it was sticking a little so I cleaned all the parts with alcohol then it was rough so I googled what can I do to make my trackball work better and came up with this. Kinda weird but it worked amazingly well. This guy said rub the side of your nose and forhead with the finger or in my case thumb that you use on the ball then use it. I couldn't believe it. Thought what the heck and did it worked perfect.

I am still getting used to the fact that I turned 50 a few days before Christmas. :p

Shucks, you're still a baby. I turned 60 in October of last year, and yes, that is a recent picture, I don't feel 60. I don't work like Iike I'm 60. I'm still working like an old pack mule and work circles around my opposite, who is the laziest little boy on the face of the planet,. Anyway, I digress

Nasal sebum - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The link sums it up nicely. Ask any old time clockmaker about nose oil and you probably will get a smile.... the best lube for delicate gears you can "buy"......
