0mg, having a knitting needle would presume this chica does CRAFTS :lol::lol::lol: Oh, oops, sorry.... Actually, I never could get the hang of fabrics/textiles, but put me in a kitchen...... :D
I quit knitting, because of arthritis. Once I got a cortisone shot in the worst area, and realized how important exercise is, I started getting more involved with the quilting group. It is run out of a Methodist church in town, and we make them to give to various charities. Given minimal money, it is an inexpensive way to keep busy. You should see their closet-full of donated fabrics!! Knitting needles work fine for those who stay with a limited number of coil-sizes.

My key message was that sticking to metric measure is better-- much less cumbersome.

Sorry I got your gender wrong.

I need to get a dripper. Is there such a thing as a single coil rda? I want it for one or two special juices, & they are real coil gunkers that need to go in a dripper. I just need to get one. I'm pretty much okay with building coils now. Gotta be a clone.

I have my heart set on the Magma clone at FT.

Terrible thought; what if they aren't letting payment through anymore because it's vaping related? Sincerely hope it's not the case.

Nope.

EC Forum Ltd is in the UK. That policy only applies to US to US transactions. You can still buy e-cig stuff using PayPal from overseas suppliers. It should be a complete non-issue for ECF supporting member payments. (At least for now it is.)

Tons of em. Don't just look at ones that are designed for dual or more, many of those can be done in single coil just fine. Just saw a vid of the marquis, man I love the way that is designed, hope others incorporate this. Can't imagine paying 145.00 for one though.

Hope everyone expecting bad weather keeps their power on and stays safe or has a safe place to go and can actually get there!

^^^ What she said. There are a lot of single coil drippers out there. You need to be wary of dual coil RDA's though if you want to do a single coil build. Something like a Zenith has an AFC ring that can be set to have one air hole open for a single coil, or two holes open for a dual coil configuration and that's fine. But most dual coils have... dual air holes and that usually doesn't work well for a single coil build. Too much air in all the wrong places.

Another Quilter! {{{{{{{HUG}}}}}} I used to hand quilt. Never got into piecing, I was too busy quilting the tops my mother turned out. Had to give it up because my hands limit me to one stitch at a time & it got too frustrating. I'm still trying to finish Hawaiian applique on a quilt for my daughter.

THat is 3 of us :) in my case quilting, spinning, knitting, sewing, weaving (all hands permitting of course)

Vaping related if you happen to see the Haus liquids at like Walgreens or elsewhere. SKip em. Extreme high nic level (25 MG) and all of them have such a strong peppery taste it is hard to taste anything else.

No worries. Female here. Have always worked in male-dominated professions. I've been called "sir" more often than not. will have to go hunting for the needles. They would probably be easier to hold than a drill bit.

Sent from.... ooh look! Something shiny!!!

You know what keeps messing with my head? There is another member - Ding! I think is his user name - whose avatar is Curly from The Three Stooges. I keep thinking you is him. :p

ETA: You may want to take a look at a set of jewelry making mandrels if you have access to a Michaels or AC Moore, They will have screwdriver-like handles to hold onto, and a set of stepped diameter size shafts to wind coils on.

Many single coil drippers. I still love my IGO-Ls and use them often.

Guessing male if you get it wrong is less hazardous than guessing female and getting it wrong. IMHO, knitting needles are the best bet, given metric, and the ability to use them for storing the coils when you make a bunch at a time.

0 how you doing back there in the far reaches of no mans land?
This thread is dominated by east coasters, west coasters, and south coasters. Amoret and I are anomalies. And I'll have you know that Wisconsin has an east coast and a west coast. It is just that the Mississippi and Lake Michigan are fresh water. And with Dinger being a new member, we may eventually out-number the coasters. :pervy: :D

Y'all are making me think a lot more than I want to about "Vapageddon." I'm pretty active re: writing to Congress about vaping, but in truth, haven't planned at all for a time when it would be impossible to buy vape gear or juice. Now I'm thinkin'. I have 2 P3's, a Billet Box, a mech and several ego's/spinners (which I hate. They live in a drawer in the kitchen). A handful of Nauti tanks, a stash of BVC coils and a couple of dozen cartos (for BB back up). One KFL+. That's it. I can build a coil, but couldn't rebuild a broken mod if my life depended on it. Tweety does not solder. What else would y'all add to the collection?

I think Matt said it and I too suggest at least 2 'true' rebuildable toppers. Even though you have a 'handful of Nauti tanks' - I wonder about the long term availability of heads regardless of a "Vapegeddon".

Any one else get an e-mail that the forum has canceled their subscription renewal?

Nope.

Well I am truly surprised by this Lemo and RDNA40. The Lemo is so airy when you take a hit it is like taking in air, not warm and when you blow it out you really "Taste Your Juice". I've got it set to 410 at 20w not hitting temp protect. Did a couple of times at 390 right after I filled it but not now. I really like it. I'm not really impressed by the gooey ring to plug the juice hole but it seems to work. I ran the juice almost out and found out KGD will give you a burnt hit at 410 not a real bad one but it will. I turned it down to 390 and nothing so KGD must have a burning point close to 410. Start getting low on juice turn it down to 390. I went though about 4ml of juice in 2 hours last night.

Anyone here familiar with the DNA40. Last night it was vaping really good. Today when I unlocked it I forgot to look to see if it asked if it was a new coil or not but the resistance is showing different then last night. So I am letting it cool to room temp and I will unlock it and if it asks I am going to say new coil. I don't know what it does if it asks and you do nothing just start vaping.

Well question answered. I let it sit till everything was back to room temp, pushed button once and it asked I pushed new coil and it reset to .2 which is what it was built at. Vaping well now. There is a learning curve with this but I like it.

2legs - if you're Ωs starts to fluctuate, open up the 'deck' and make sure the screws are still snug/tight holding the coil in place. This seems to be a common issue w/ respect to Ωs not being stable.

As to KGD and a burnt hit at 410F. I recall reading that the flashpoint of cotton is 409F. So I was setting my DNA40 to 400F. But geez, even a little damp with juice would raise the flash point. I would think you should be hitting Temp Protect before getting a dry hit. That's what would happen to me. Could be you had/have a hot spot in the coil. Did you try running your setup while you could watch the coil as you pressed the fire button and look for hot spots?

I think you and Matt are right. Besides the fact that it annoys me to buy heads - not so much b/c of price (tho that, too), but b/c I've run out by the time I realize I need them -- rebuildables seem to provide more flavor. Now on a quest to research RBAs, aside from KFL+. This oughta be fun!

genius idea that I just saw posted by someone. I don't have an ohm reader yet, using the hana clone to read ohms. Have used it to build, but gotta be careful not to knock it over. Well.....loll88 posted in another thread about using the kanthal spool, the plastic hole in the middle. I just pulled mine out, and that had a lot of play, so I turned it over...poked a small x in the paper side, and now my atty sits there very nicely to build on! I know most of y'all have stuff, but thought this might help some of newer builders that may not have something yet.

also, getting much better at building coils, but have to get some lower nic. My lowest nic juice is 18 and that's too much for dripping! Still making some mostly for practice now and then.

Good idea! I'll try that!

Know what ya mean about the nic level. With tanks, I usually vape 4.5mg (I mix 1/2 3mg with 1/2 6mg), and that's a lot for me on an RBA. Dripping, it's waaaay too much! I'm bouncin' off walls. Might have to mix 3 with zero. Wonder why that is?

I dunno, but everyone says you should cut nic at least in 1/2 when dripping, and I can surely see why. gonna have to get a much lower nic juice that I can mix with what I have. Some type of cream, or maybe apple, something like that.

Well my hurry up build is not real good. I need to find a bolt with something like 24 threads per inch. This 6 32 is to hard for me to get it in the threads. The build I did on the Kanger is not working well at all keeps hitting TP, Hot Legs of something. I know its not my legs so it's got to be the build. These NI200 are not forgiving at all like the Kanthal.
