I took mine to home depot and fitted it against hex wrenches until I found a set that had one that fit it.I need a hex wrench for an atty with grub screws. I was told it was a 1.5, but it's not. I need something smaller. Can anyone help?

Which atty is it? I just checked my atomic clone, it has phillips head screws. My nuppin and I think the cyclone use .9 but some use other sizes.
This is supposed to be 1.25. I was told 1.5 at first, which just sits on top of the hole. I used needle nose tweezers to get the old coil out & put a new one in but not sure I got it tight enough so it.s sitting until new hex gets here.I've read
.035" cyclone and most authentic 14mm attys
.050 anything with m2.5 grubs (very long list)
1/16" 4-40 grubs
M2 grubs= .035"
M2.5 grubs= .050"
M3 grubs = 1.5mm
4/40 grubs= 1/16 or .063"
M2 hex cap screws= 1.5mm
M2.5 hex cap screws= 2mm
Yeah I did that all they had was sets that only had one i'd ever use. Ace had singles available, got the smallest, 1.5, which was wrong, but fits the adjustable 510 on the Reo. I now have 2 of those.I took mine to home depot and fitted it against hex wrenches until I found a set that had one that fit it.

And backups for backups.Good to have backups![]()
Yes. I'm not complaining at all. The seller threw the atty in with the deal, which was so generous & unexpected. She just forget the change in screws because she hadn't used it in awhile. It's a good learning experience with this being my first clasified buy, first Woodvil, first bf atty, first modded anything, first grub screws. I'm learning stuffs!Sorry you were given the wrong info. On atties especially it's rough sometimes with so many clones. Is it the rm4 (atomic) you were talking about?
Oh it's running right! I just keep playing with it for Mom therapy.hehehe you just dove in head first with all of it! Can't wait til you get that puppy up and runnin good.
This one was modded by Catfish. He & Rob both started taking out the phillips heads & replacing them with grubs.... [emoji35]
At our age we don't give a crap what the neighbors think.Older folks shouldnt vape on the front porch... your neighbors are watching![]()
No clue who Martyn is either, but glad he's okay.are you martyn? If not, who's martyn?
Sounds like a typical day with El Whacko. Glad you made it through.Oh it's running right! I just keep playing with it for Mom therapy.
Day 1: I thought I'd change the coil, oops no screws. What are those? Ok, need hexes. This one is too big. But pointy, stick myself tweezers work. Now figure out what size hex key I need.
Day 2: Have hex key info. Take Mom to get her hair cut. Nice Mom (who needed something from me), turns into Ugly Mom 6 blocks from home (now that she's getting what she wants with no issues & has a captive victim in the car). Ugly Mom buys lunch after haircut because she feels guilty but can't bring herself to apologize. Take The Mom home, eat lunch, & take her car to put gas in it & get it washed. Decide to get hex key while out. Get home, Ugly Mom is back. Go in my room, shut the door, take a nap. Wake up, discover the hex key is wrong. Post to Reo forum again, get another answer, order keys, decide to clean & oil Woodvil just because I need to keep my mind on something pleasant, & pretty, & feel good. Oil is messy, but mod is beautiful, & my hands are very soft & smooth now. & The Mom has gone to bed! WHOOP! Peace & satisfaction accomplished! No laundry got done, but hey... [emoji1]
Hope he goes for the surgery, I want to see the Beefeaters keep a straight face.a bit off topic, but just cannot resist a bit of picture humor here...
I know the guy is OLD, but do you really think that surgery is the answer?

Wow I'm surprised at that Mike I've always been told that NI200 gets brittle after use. Are you using regular or tempered? This Ti just keeps putting out tons of vapor which I have been surprised at. I got mine from the Vape Mesh company. The price is reasonable and even with shipping it was about the same or a little less then Unkamen because of the shipping from the UK. It has some machine oil on it but cleans off with one wipe of alcohol.Good for you Legs ... you've certainly put in the time getting there. Nice to hear its finally paying off.
Me ... I've been running the same nickel coil for about 3 months now. When it starts tasting 'off', I pull the wick and do an 'easy' dry burn. Just pulse the coil 'till the gunk turns to ash. I don't really 'glow' it. Then rinse w/ water, brush lightly with a toothbrush and rewick. Resistence is staying stable at its starting point, so I see no need to recoil.

Are you saying that the leads from the coil are held in place with grub screws? Grub screws don't have heads on them. I remember when Deb was misusing the phrase "grub screw" to describe something that was not a grub screw. Did you adopt her misuse?Yes. I'm not complaining at all. The posts can have holes thru them that the grub/set screw pinches the wire in.Are you saying that the leads from the coil are held in place with grub screws? Grub screws don't have heads on them. Hadn't thought of that! I've seen and used such posts but haven't (yet) seen one in person or in a picture that uses grub screws. First time for everything. The posts can have holes thru them that the grub/set screw pinches the wire in.

Nope. These have no cap, & are hollow. Therefore they are grub screws. The Atomic comes with phillips head screws, but this was modded to bottom feed & changed to grub screws because the screw caps were so close together that there were concerns about shorting. Are you saying that the leads from the coil are held in place with grub screws?
