I just don't see and never have seen where TFA has done that. They have MSDS data sheets, which is not the same as testing and would not include diacetyl and AP amounts that are too small to be considered significant for ingestion, but which could be far too much for vaping.
I saw a link for "test results" on the TFA site but it leads nowhere as far as I can tell, and no actual test results seem to be available.
As Dr Farsalinos pointed out last year, many flavorings which claimed to have no diacetyl or AP actually did contain them, in amounts which would make it safer to be working in a popcorn factory adding artificial butter flavor.
WLs tells you if their (TFA) flavors had or might have any of the bad stuff in it. For example, with their Dairy Milk concentrated flavoring it warns "*** Note: This flavor contains 'custard' ingredients: Acetoin & Acetylpropionyl." WLs also says, "All Wizard Labs flavor concentrates are undiluted, full strength concentrates from the manufacturer, and contain no Diacetyl." It appears that WL has discontinued any flavors that do contain Diacetyl and warn about the others. The best we can do is keep on our own toes and try to keep each other informed. Five Pawn fiasco keeps coming to mind.
Yeah I think it should be pointed out to any newbies. Not a good idea to head to the local grocery store for flavors to vape. Just cuz it's deemed safe to eat does NOT mean it's safe to inhale.
Exactly, and if that flavoring has oil in it, you are in a heap of big steaming trouble.
Visited a new B&M shop. Tasted lots of flavors. Decided on vanilla, and the guys the shop added extra sweetener for me. It's simple, I like it. I did get the 18 mg, the pg/vg is 65/35. Very smooth, no cough when inhaled. This is the first shop out of four I've visited that has offered to make a juice sweeter for me and they offered to mix flavors if I wanted that too. Good customer service is a rarity.
Yes! Stick with them. Wait until you order online (from a reputable place), many of them do a stupendous job. Little mind blowing.
Officially no flavorings are for vaping. At least capella, tfa, etc.
I know of none that are approved for inhaling. Then again, there's lots of FDA approved drugs that will kill you even when taken properly. But, use flavors that have been developed with ecigs in mind.
