If I waited until I was invited to ....-in, I'd never post (or speak) ever again! One of the few perks of being older is that you have a blank check to offer helpful "wisdom" whether it's wanted or not, and most people are too polite to tell you to shut up. Win!

There are some new folks to the porch that I missed. I went back through the pages to try to find them and this thread is growing like a weed in fresh cow manure. My humble apologies to those I missed, it wasn't intentional. A hearty welcome to you all! Just don't let Sloth fool you about being older, he’s too young to be here.

One day he just showed up and crawled across the lawn and up on the porch. Took him a day and a half just to get that far and no one had the patience, or stamina, to stand there and get him turned around.

Sloth1.jpg

But he was kinda cute so everyone just enjoyed the show.

Then he climbed into the porch’s hanging chair and no one could pry him out.

So we got him a computer and made him work for his keep.

But sometimes he gets belligerent.

So Iffy makes him sit in a box in the corner

Okay, I'm kidding about the belligerent part. He knows his stuff, except about glow in the dark silicone food apparently, and is very witty so we keep him around. He's also got the patience of a saint if you don't understand his answer right off the bat. Plus, he can even do diagrams for you if you're really lost. And he looks cute in a Santa hat.

The problem is the questions they ask. Nice that you can slant a story any way you want and get away with it. From the article:

The survey didn't ask about repeat use, or whether teens were just experimenting with something new. But between 4 percent and 7 percent of students who tried e-cigarettes said they'd never smoked a tobacco cigarette, noted University of Michigan professor Richard Miech, a study senior investigator.

Kids are going to try it. Better that than cigarettes. You don't hear people trying to ban alcohol again.

More youth in the United States drink alcohol than smoke tobacco or other stuff, making it the drug most used by American young people.
Prevalence of Underage Drinking - Factsheets - Center on Alcohol Marketing and Youth

Let them stuff that in their pipe and smoke it.

Hey Matt, I live in Ocala but lived in Hollywood FL for over 20 years!

I was born and raised in Daytona Beach. went in to the Navy at 17 and now 40 years later am moving back to Florida. We made it here at around 6 yesterday. After unpacking the car, going out to eat and grocery shopping finally got to bed at 11:30. Cat woke me up about 1/2 hour ago and I thought I would check in here before going back to sleep.

ok thats not the 1 - 1.5 I was expecting.

What watts make those Ω's good , averagely speaking

I use mech mods, so they start at 4.2V @ 0.3Ohms, which is 14A. 4.2V * 14A is 58.8W. As the batteries drain, they get down to 3.7V or so, which would be 12.3A, and 45.6W. The only reason I can use that much wattage is because there's a lot of airflow over the coils, and I run big 3mm diameter coils with 4 wraps of 4 strands of twisted 30gauge kanthal, and I space my coils so that the heat is spread more evenly over the wicks. Lots of juice flow in the Big Buddhas, and lots of airflow.

I could only really get down to around 0.9Ohms on my Kayfun, even after I drilled it out and deepened the juice channels.

Hello folks. Thought I'd pop in and have a look, maybe book a rocker.

I gave up the old stinky sticks nearly ten weeks ago. I LOVE vaping much more than I ever enjoyed smoking. I never thought I'd say that.

I tried every which way to stop smoking over the years. Nearly 40 and I smoked around 30+ full strength Super Kings a day. I thought I would just have to put up with that filthy habit until it killed me.

But then got talking to a guy who was vaping. Went home, ordered a Vamo v5 and within a week was FREE.

It never ceases to amaze and thrill me. My family and doctor are so pleased as well. Having lost a brother to emphasemia earlier this year, I knew I could die the same horrible fate.

Now I can sleep without wheezing. My yellow fingers and black tongue are long gone. I don't stink like a dirty ash tray. And I'm so happy, really chuffed to have found this forum and the wealth of information, friendship and support it offers.

So many thanks and look forward to chatting, getting to know more of you.

Happy vaping. :)

I've hesitated to order a K4 clone because the capacity is less than the capacity of my Nautilus.

However: I refill my Nautilus when it gets down to 2 or 2.5 ml remaining in the tank. I am convinced that there's a flavor drop-off or that a dryer hit is more likely once it gets down to that level.

However, it could be my imagination, so I'd like to know how low other Nautilus-lovers let the juice get before refilling.

Also, a question for Kayfun users: can you vape almost all of the liquid before refilling and not have any problems with performance or taste?

I use an authentic KFL+ and have frequently vaped it dry enough that if I tilt it I do not see any liquid at all. No flavor drop off, no loss of pressure. I'm lazy that way, especially if I am caught up in a game on the computer.

BigBells, I don't refill my Nautilus tanks until the juice level is barely above the wicking holes on the chimney. Maybe that's 1ml? Probably I wait b/c I'm too lazy to get up!

Awaiting delivery of a shiny new Kayfun Lite Plus second batch (Who comes up with these names?!), having been told the flavor will be better. I think it holds only a couple of mls, so I'm expecting to fill twice a day. Of course, what I'll probably do is bounce back and forth between devices and tanks, just so I won't have to refill! :)

I pretty much use the same tank all day and just use a different juice every time I refill. Since all of my juices are interrelated flavors - the small overlap does not hurt my vape, but I can taste the small transition to the newer flavor after I refill it. I also rinse mine out every morning to start a new day...
